I took his quote to mean that the Bills would be a legit SB contender within 4 years as he develops, not that he could necessarily be “struggling” in his 3rd year and the switch would flip in year 4. Just looked it up... Looks like he was a QB coach for the Jets in 2007 - 2008. Jets during those years had Chad Pennington, Kellen Clemens and Brett Favre. He still enjoys the game, the guys, the team, the city. He was present at many a minicamp. As far as it being an endorsement of the rookie QB, why the hell wouldn't he?
