When discussing QB’s, Steve Tasker seriously asks about the possibility of Cleveland drafting a QB with both #1 and #4. But not to trade one of th two but to keep them both on the roster to increase their chances of “getting it right.” After asking the question Kind of walked it back by saying “they couldn’t do this....could they?” Rappaport kind of thought it was crazy question, but essentially said anything is possible. I think the idea makes sense on paper, but the reality is they’d be carrying 4 QB’s on the roster. They wouldn’t have enough snaps to really develop both QB’s at the same time. Plus they would be passing up, as Chris Ballard would say , “premium” talent at #4. Id hunk you want to take 1 QB and double down on him, as opposed to trying develop 2 QB’s at the same time All in all, kind of a goofy question for Tasker to ask that surprised me.
