The truth is, nobody knows if Allen will turn out to be a nightmare scenario or a dream scenario for whichever team selects him. Nothing more than personal opinions at this point. You have no idea which QBs, even going in the top 10, will be successful and which ones will not.

50 percent about the Environment being drafted into for these kids. rough number i know. and not a simple equation really. but I know what I mean.

Allen could become a QB who is starts and has success in the NFL.

Just not my first choice for Bills.

Daboll and McBeane think so ? well i am all for it

especially at 12 :P

If we miss out on the top QBs, I am perfectly fine with Allen at 12, or if absolutely necessary even a slight trade up that only costs a 2nd or 3rd.

Its the trading up to the top the top of the draft and giving away multiple 1sts stuff that would scare me.

Id still give him every chance if that's what happens. It just seems like a bigger gamble to me than Darnold or Rosen, or even Mayfield.

This was fantastic. Top quality. I laughed so hard I shot milk out my nose and I wasn't even drinking any. The ending was incredible.

I will be happy unless they passed on Darnold to take him.  Those who want to throw a tantrum are welcome to.  I plan on throwing a tantrum if Rudolph is picked.

I expect many a tantrum regardless of the pick.
For me i am at the point of " deal the cards "

 lets play

Yeah those college qb's with a sub-60% completion rate sure do suck. This guy barely hit 55% in only one of his college seasons.  Assinine argument you have there.

One outlier QB in 1990 is what you wanna hang your argument on? A QB from a vastly different generation of football. Solid move, run with that, see how far ta get.

I guarantee you have not heard that anywhere else.

Yeah, cause I tend to talk to people with at least half a brain.

He won big games against good competition though, Allen has not.  Favre won against Bama, Auburn, Georgia and he was at what was considered a small school.  What exactly has Allen done against good competition?  Btw, I'm not taking shots at Allen, my critique is of your argument.  Secondly, this guy that you posted stats for was in the Heisman race going into his jr year but got in a car accident and had to sit out that year.  Has Allen ever been considered for the Heisman?  The only thing that is similar are comp% numbers but they do not indicate the entire story.  Same thing when people point to Kelly's college career.  Sure the numbers might look similar but here's the thing, Kelly played in big games, WON some of them against top competition at the time.  You can say none of this about Allen.

Again, I'm not throwing shade at Allen, it's the argument that I find faulty.  I wouldn't mind Allen at 12.

It's sounding like Josh Allen is the guy. Devastating news. Kudos to Beane and McDermott for believing in themselves but I hope they're leasing.

Don't mind him at 12.

People sure have a lot of football dreams here. My dreams usually involve getting locked out of my house while naked.

For all of the anti-Allen crowd, would you rather have Allen at QB, or no QB drafted at all?

As much as I want a QB, I have no interest in another project QB, so I would say none at all and build the roster.

If we make a big investment in Allen who will likely be a Jake Locker/JP Losman type bust, we are stuck with him for 3 years probably. Especially if we trade several picks to move up to get him. That will set this franchise back in a big way, probably means new coach and front office, etc.

I especially would rather draft no QB if drafting Allen meant giving up next year's 1st round pick because I think that will be a very high pick, unfortunately.
