Peace Frog Posted April 21, 2018 Share Posted April 21, 2018 Let's say no team between picks 1-11 want to trade down to 12 with us and/or all four QBs (Darnold, Rosen, Mayfield, and Allen) are gone before the 12th pick. If we cant move up and the Big 4 are all gone, and Roquan Smith is there, then sure, grab him and trade up from 22 to get Rudolph. But if a Linebacker or two are already picked as well (Smith will likely go top 10), then why reach for a LB just to avoid reaching for a QB? However if that were the case, we’d probably need to jump right back up to around where we just were in order to beat out another QB needy team like the Cardinals.
