Indiana TE Ian Thomas Had a Pre-draft Visit with the Bills

Recommended Posts

Never was Crazy about IT... Like his build and athleticism, but just comes down to him not catching the football well enough... I haven't seen consisitent, clean, strong-handed, away-from-body grabs you see with top TE's... Thomas is MAYBE a late 3rd-round prospect...-More like 4th, MO

i like that they are looking at the TE position. clay is great when healthy, o'leary is coming into his own. but i have always been an advocate for stocking up on TE's. this guy specifically? i don't know. but i would love them to load up on pass catchers for the new qb.

Seen him a bunch in round 2 and some round 3. He’s pretty raw but a good athlete. Those guys go earlier (always) because someone thinks that they can maximize his athleticism.

Optimal Scouting(Eric Galko) has him at 104 overall and a fringe NFL starter, Early Day 3 guy, 6th among TE.

I do think they will try to draft a TE. I foresee an athletic weapon in the passing game moreso than an in-line blocker given what Daboll was exposed to in NE as TE coach in that offense.  I think Clay will be used a lot but his knee is a time bomb and he’s probably gone after this year. I still have hope for Logan Thomas too. I wonder if he might use O’Leary as more of an Hback.

ALL our current TE's can kick rocks as far as I'm concerned... I like Oleary, and I prefer he stay on for depth, but Thomas is a QB, and Clay is always banged-up... We need Mark Andrews for sure (if Mayfail is coming here), and for heaven sake, PLEEEAAASE, Nate Wozniak. -At least give him a chance to make an NFL roster.

I know that the Falcons and Texans have been interested in Wozniak so it looks like he'll get a shot somewhere.

Not sure Andrews fits what they will be looking for. Lacks athleticism. He got away with it in college but I think he’s going to end up an in-line blocking TE in the nfl.

I’m amazed at how many top 100 guys the Bills brought in.

If the Bills don't have to trade off many of their high picks this roster can be bolstered. It's a delicate balancing act. I still believe getting the qb is the first priority but if that can be accomplished without depleting the picks that would be a terrific situation for us. (Of course I'm stating the obvious.)

Perhaps more than a shot... -15 teams have either spoken with, or reached out to Wozniak's camp... -Including the Dolphins!
