Bills should move up again from #22 for a Win/Win

Recommended Posts

I think we should move up from pick #22 to pick #9, if SF is willing since they don't have a 2018 2nd rounder; #53 (give them a 2019 4th) and we keep the #12. At #9 and #12 we either get our QB and our LB by being patient and/or a Corner or OG/OT. We need a lot and there will be some talent up there for sure. Pressure would be put on other teams trying to move up for a QB also pushing guys down to us.

We can also still field calls from the Giants for the #2 pick. I think the Giants would take #9 and #12 plus a 2nd next year. We could take Rosen and stick it to the Jets. It would be classic to see the Jets overpay and get Mayfield or Allen instead.

I believe the Giants want Chubb/Darnold if they stay and not Barkley or Rosen. The may instead land Josh Allen and a big man. Jumping from 9 or 12 to 5-7 would not cost them much and they may be able to use next years picks.

Note: Gettleman Drafted — QB Cam Newton (Josh Allen), LB Luke Kuechly (Alec Ogletree) and many offensive and defensive lineman.

Note: The Giants could still move back up and grab Allen to groom behind Eli and it may only cost them a high 2nd from pick #9. I think Allen belongs in NY and sit behind a 2x Champion for 2 years.

We get Josh Rosen who is not a project and could start next year... and that leaves us with a 2nd, 2x 3rds, a 4th, a 5th and a 6th this year.

Next year we would trade down to get our 2nd rounder back.

I have nothing better to do and it is far from simple for sure. The Giants will probably wait until the remaining seconds of their turn...

I believe the Giants are hanging onto that pick. I still think we need to move up a bit more, even to get to 4. If the Giants take Barkley then Cleveland will be open to selling that pick. If the Giants pick a QB then we are pretty much screwed moving into the top 5.

I don't see how that's enough compensation for SF.  Trade value would be closer to #22, #53, and #65 which is a little bit of premium for SF.  It is a Top 10 pick, so they might want even more than that, possibly #22, #53, and #56.  The Jets have screwed up future trades by paying such a premium to the Colts.

You typically overpay in a trade up.  The Jets overpaid by 250+ points.  So you'd have to overpay in the first trade up, then again in the second one.  You might as well just go straight to the source.  If you want #2, then go to #2.

The only reason you involve someone else is if the Giants don't want to drop all the way to #12.  But then again, you are going to overpay even more

If I was the Jets I would trade the 3rd overall to Buffalo for 12,22,53,65, 2018 1st, 3rd, and then trade 12, 53, 65 for 6th overall. =6, 22, 2018 1st and 3rd.

No.  Move to 2 with 12, 22, 56, 65 2018 1st.  The giants say No... Move to 7, 8 or 9 take Jackson and let him battle Mccarron.  Keep 22 and get sideline to sideline baker.  Maybe move up for the best mike in the draft.  22 and 56 for 15.
