What if the Internet and boards like this existed 50 years ago?

If we had had all these Internet "journalists" pontificating on QBs back then, can you imagine what would have been written.  Here's a couple I thought about:

Terry Bradshaw:  strong arm but inaccurate,  cannot process defenses rapidly enough to survive in the NFL, grades out in the 2-3 round

Fran Tarkenton:  gimmick QB who will not survive his first big hit in the NFL,  has to learn how to throw from the pocket if he wants to play in the league

Here are Bradshaw's career stats:

Year Age Tm Pos No. G GS QBrec Cmp Att Cmp% Yds TD TD% Int Int% Lng Y/A AY/A Y/C Y/G Rate Sk Yds NY/A ANY/A Sk% 4QC GWD V
Career       168 158 107-51-0 2025 3901 51.9 27989 212 5.4 210 5.4 90 7.2 5.8 13.8 166.6 70.9 307 2694 6.01 4.77 7.3 15 23 137

Other than the W-L record, his gold jacket today would be for Century 21, rather than Canton...

212/210 TD/INT ratio? 51 completion percentage? Yuck. Wouldn't last 2 years in today's NFL.

If you just looked at Namaths stats you would say no way is he HoF worthy...

when you actually watched him you would realize he had the best pocket movement out of any QB of his era and the best deep ball...

first QB to throw for over 4000 yards in a season ... he was definitely HoF worthy though people today say he isn't worth it... he changed the game

Bradshaw was a very average QB who benefited from a elite team around him,

wondering how Kelly and teammates would have been treated on this board...Kelly was an ass when out drinking...saw him and others out many times ..Reed and Talley in bar fights on Elmwood....many using coke...

Come on.  Have a little fun with it.

I'm too young for this but I imagine there wasn't much board presence in the 90s,

Dan Marino: does drugs... boy, total rumor, that has to be the worst reason for a slip in the 1st round.. Like, I understand why Aaron Rodgers fell. Super weird release.
