SinatraSinger Posted March 23, 2018 Share Posted March 23, 2018 I thought a team could designate a 3rd QB that could be used if the first two were injured, that did not count in the 53 man game day roster. I'm not saying he'll ever be a starter, but some seem to think he doesn't even belong in the NFL based on 30 minutes of play, not counting the blizzard bowl. McCarron has only ever been a backup to a very average starter, so I will assume that's his worth until he proves otherwise.
