I have faith in this regime to not just take a QB for the sake of making the fans happy. If they see their franchise QB (one of the top 4) and can move up to get him then yay for us! Finally! But if the opportunity doesn't present itself I believe we will hold firm with McCarron (who could be a steal) and Peterman this year and build this team up everywhere else instead of wasting a pick on a Losman (only non franchise QB taken in the 1st round of 2004 draft) or EJ Manuel again. Great LB could be had at 12 with Smith or Edmunds. Jackson may not be my first (or 2nd, 3rd or 4th) choice but I believe he has alot of potential. They can pick any QB they like, TT skillset has NOTHING to do with their decision. The tarded for TT because he is a professional and will show whomever what that means. He's a great teammate and responsible on the field which will prevent throwing the #1 pick to the wolves. I'll lay significant odds Cleveland doesn't trade the top overall pick or pick a non QB. The key words are may and possible. Just like no team will give a draft pick for TT right. If we really new that much I think we would be in a front office not a fan message board. I know what QBs I like but I'm not gonna try and act like I am certain of what's going to happen. It's just speculation. Hell maybe they see TT as their franchise QB. Comparing Jackson and Taylor is pure laziness. Their similarities start and end with "QB who is also a dynamic running threat." Everything past that is very different. People are obsessed with getting to the top of the draft. To get who? Everyone has a different answer. If Beane and co. Like Darnold he will be gone at 1. On to plan B. What if the Giants take a QB and the Jets now have the third pick. It’s a wrap. We’re still in great shape. We don’t have to have one of these 4 guys and we will still be good. I’m cool with Jackson and a LB with 12 & 22. And then we have 53, 56,65,& 95.man that’s a lot of draft picks in the first 3 rounds in which to build a Championship Team ??? I don't think they are the same player but I do think they will give us the same consistent result. They are both adequate NFL QBs but are both closer to bridge quarterbacks than they are to franchise guys. If you guys have watched Jackson play you know he's an unbelievably gifted athlete and the most exciting COLLEGE QB I've ever seen but have you ever seen him be consistent accuracy wise? He's very erratic and his arm strength is no where close to the guy he's compared to (Michael Vick). In the NFL I'd rather have TT. He's not as athletic but takes care of the ball and has great deep ball accuracy. All of this being said my original point was that neither QB is worth the investment of a franchise QB. This FO has been great thus far and I'd hate for their legacy to go down in flames because they listened to fans and settled on a QB they really don't believe will make this franchise a consistent threat for the next 10+ years. Like I said before if we can trade up and get the guy they think can turn this franchise around long term than I'm in but if not PLEASE don't settle for a lesser QB to invest in. McCarron is a fine bridge QB and we can build this team up (like the Vikes did) everywhere else until we have another chance at a franchise QB. Go BIlls!
