Nope not even close

If Lawson would have played out the full year last year, he was on pace for around 50 tackles and 6-7 sacks...

Shaq cant pressure the QB.  It’s a miracle he even had 4 sacks.  He just has no pass rush ability.  Cap Capi did a better job rushing the passer IMO

On pace for 6-7 sacks and was miles better against the run than Capi.  Lawson can improve in pass rush but he's already solid against the run.  Not every DE that is good gets 10 plus sacks.  It's not all about how many sacks a guy gets.

Yep but watch the games Shaq plays.  He doesn’t get to the QB much.

I see that the Bills have signed a guy named Trent Murphy.  based on the big contract they gave him, it means that the former #1 draft pick Shaquille Lawson is probably not going to be playing much DE.  It really makes me wonder why, he was the #1 pick overall and should be starting.  Why was he ever drafted in the first place?  I mean he was a 4-3 DE that was drafted in Rex Ryan’s 3-4, yet he can hardly play in the 4-3?  WTF

So so if we signed Trent Murphy to play DE from Washington then what happens with Shaq?

Seeing that that he is classified as AFWDP (Another Failed Whaley Draft Pick) I really think the Bills are going to give him away for peanuts.   Like a 6th or 7th round draft pick

It should give him the motivation to live up to where he was drafted & if he does then he will be the one given the next big contract but if not he will continue to be good a depth & rotational player !!

I record games and watch them twice.  I've seen him play plenty.  Look at the plays he made in the run game.

Yes but he can’t rush the passer.  Like I said Capi Capi does a better job getting to the QB and is almost as good against the run

No he is not almost as good against the run.  Why do you think Trent Murphy is here?  Because he can rush the passer while Lawson plays the run.

I remember in the Jets game there was a stretch were they seemingly avoided running the ball to Shaw Lawson's side. Second he was subbed out...they ran to his side.

Capi didn't stand out as a real find to me in the pass rushing dept., but perhaps he is as good as you say he is.

I'm not buying that he's equally effective against the run as Lawson though.

Hmmm where to start, hard to read gibberish. You shouldn't have skipped all those English classes in your formative years. He wasn't the #1 pick overall. And, don't know if you have ever watched football before, but 4-3 or 3-4, there are two defensive ends in either formation. As others have stated, players don't usually play the whole game, sometimes they come out, thus maybe they need more than just 2.

Shaq isn't going anywhere. They rotate DEs and he is a beast in the run game. Just no need imo to trade him, he still has a ton of potential and high ceiling, worse case , he's a run stopping specialist, best case he turns into a complete DE and we can keep him Murphy and Hughes fresh.
