Were people laughing at KC this year?

Mahomes is 10xs the QB Allen will ever be IMO.

I get they sat him but they had the luxury of Smith on the roster so he was lucky to sit otherwise a pick that high should play.

IMO KC reached a little too much, could have got him later.

I really doubt the FO if they're doing all this scouting and interviewing and viewing film...and then they decide Josh Allen should be the pick at #3. Not Darnold or Rosen or Mayfield.

could just be another smokescreen,

I'd think so, Bradford is one FA QB who can be seen as a legit starter. So the things I take into account

Everyone see the Bills moving up and knows they are most likely moving up again for a QB... If you are a FA QB you aren't signing with Buffalo with the impression you are the long term solution.

Therefore, if you are Bradford why sign with Buffalo if you don't think you are in that stage of your career?

Because the Bills all but tell you the rookie won't push for playing time in year one and maybe not even in year two.

The only QB that would give that kind of assurance would be Allen as he's the least pro ready.

For me, if we are going after Darnold or Rosen, you go for a Moore or Anderson or Daniels or McCown. Guys who can start in a pinch but are more mentor/vet savvy backups.

hummmm.....I think if we want a multi-year bench warmer I'd go for Mike White or L. Falk over Allen.   Then use our 1st round picks to solidify the D.

Josh Allen has work to do before he's ready to start.  The question is, if Sam Bradford were to sign with Buffalo, how long is the deal for, and are there any escape routes in the deal should Allen progress faster than expected.  The Bills would not want to be loaded down with a boatload of dead cap obligations should they want to trade Bradford in a year or two.

Bills WRs and TEs should be excited if Bradford signs. Very accurate passer.

First thing I thought of was him being able to pick his spots to KB.... intriguing

Before we get too far ahead of ourselves here, do you know where Rapoport said this?  I took a quick look through his Twitter and saw nothing about this.  Was it on TV or something?

Just don't want everyone worrying/responding to something that was never said.

I was wondering the same thing...

Bradford makes sense, as a bridge to a " sooner than later" rookie QB. Keenum would have meant something different strategy wise.

Per @RapSheet The Bills have engaged Sam Bradford's representatives to try and get a deal done.

I don't take this as good news at all. The guy's knee is a disaster simply waiting to happen.. again.

I think it would be more like a mentoring role for the young QB's.

Spidey, just a handful of games.  Just a handful of games we need him for.  I am hoping 10-12 at the absolute most.

Bradford would be a great fit. Also would love McCown on a short term deal.

We might stay at 12 and 21. Bradford could be mentoring Peterman. Same style of QB.

In that they both have people who insist they are better than they really are, and show you a glimmer of hope before the bottom falls out?

Bradford just gives you more, for longer.

I'd prefer Bradford over McCown, but both are injury prone.

Yeah.  Amazing how the QBs have lined themselves at Washington (Smith), Denver (Keenum),  Minny (Cousins),  Browns (Tyrod) , Jets (Bridgewater) leaving us and the cardinals to fight for Bradford.  Where does this leave Foles...Will that be the loser of the Bradford sweepstakes ?

Some would argue that Brandford is basically only behind Cousins, and so it's the other teams that are left fighting for the scraps.

In my view, all of these guys are the same-- just bridge/insurance guys. I really don't care who we sign, but it needs to be someone.

Did not realize he had a season he started that many games, just looked up his stats 20 TDs and 5 picks and 3877 yards. Those are nice stats, hopefully if he signs here we hit the lottery and he starts 15 games again.

That's the thing with him, you know if he's healthy he's going to perform well (at least middle of the league standards), but the health is really 50-50

Mccarron still out there as well

not sure anyone is willing to trade for Foles what the Eagles are asking for

And that’s the risk that comes with both of them. However, there really isn’t a better alternative in terms of skill and injury risk. If we do draft one of the early qb’s that would give cushion bearing the injury history associated with mccown and Bradford.

If Bradford is smart, he's probably slow rolling it until he's certain Min has their guy. If they somehow miss Cousins, they'd give him a lot of $ to come back.
