You have to at least get them going side to side.  The run calls were just brutal.  In the 4th quarter the motion timing was bad, they didnt do much under center either where its easier to get them on a misdirection, or get a reverse going.

it was a moral victory but the rabbit died in the last quarter

i had zero point zero faith the Jags would win, except for the fumble recovery, but they couldn't capitalize

Same. I was impressed with the first half play (and attitude) they showed but I figured the fetal position play calling and punting was coming and it did. They really could have won that game, but coaches were scared, timid when it mattered

After just giving up a TD, they had a minute left and TO's to take----and they kneeled twice to end the half...

Who the Pats did not want to bring back after 1000+ yards and 18 TDs last year  and replaced with Gillislee. Did he even play yesterday? No stats in the box score. Anyway, I’m sure Blount wants a revenge game on the biggest stage.

No, but you can search Warren Sharp on twitter. It’s a thread he posted today around 10am EST.

I dont know why copied links from twitter shows up that way on some devices and not others. Out of curiosity what device are you viewing it on?

Revenge for what---twice picking him out of other teams' garbage cans and getting him 2 SB rings??

BB eats predictable, gutless coaches.  You have to keep the boot on the neck of BB all four quarters to beat him.

Not sure how many years he's got to teach this lesson to the rest of the AFC, but apparently not enough yet.

hopefully the eagles and their analytics guy in the ear of the staff can keep them dialed in. that eagles defense is stout against the run which is very important playing the pats. if their run game is going they will destroy you. if it's just the pass game you can be in the game. if the eagles just run all over em and burn that clock it's a game.

Yeh, solid analysis. I watched the first half in awe of how much Hackett's playcalling and situational awareness had improved, then the second half wore on and I said to myself 'yep, that's the OC I remember.'

Ole Hackett never let us down didn't he?.....amazeballs the Jags made it as far as they did - I will predict a rapid downfall for ole Dougie next season......Next Coach please.

Go Bills!

Now contrast the Jags playcalling when they went up by multiple scores with the Eagles going up by multiple scores yesterday against the Vikes.

I really, really, really hope Dennison was primarily responsible for the fact that the Bills passed the ball over 4% less than the entire NFL when up by more than one TD and almost 8% less than the 18 teams that ended up with a record between 7-9 and 11-5.  I hope Dabol persuades McDermott to have at least a little more of a foot-to-the-throat mentality when we're leading.  It'd be nice to finally wrack up a ton of garbage time yards and points when leading the way the Patriots always do and the way the Rams and Eagles did this year as opposed to getting a lead and just holding on for dear life.  Unfortunately, I don't think this changes much.

Patriots, Rams, Eagles, Bills

Which one of these is not like the other?

Rams and Bills both lost Wildcard weekend and are not like Eagles or Patriots, who are on their way to play in the Super Bowl  :flirt:

Yahhhh. One team did it without a QB and you're complaining about the amount of pass attempts!

Yikes.

Only one of those four teams will be looking for a starter in the draft. Guess who!!!

That's what you get with bad coaching decisions. Just the opposite happened here in Marrone's first ever game ironically against the Patriots. The Bills had the lead going into the 4th, but back then Marrone and Hackett were trying to run a no-huddle offense and those idiots refused to come out of it and burn clock. That allowed the Patriots and Danny Amendola to take them apart on a game winning drive late. Dome things never change. I never forgot that, it was college level game management.

Only one of those 4 teams made the playoffs and fired someone on the coaching staff.

Know who?

Play calling was a problem for the Bills and was a huge reason the Bills had the most runs of 0 yards or less on 1st or 2nd down in the entire league.

But don't take my word for it... just tell me if McDermott retained his offensive play caller from last year  0:)

Foles is a backup but he also has a ton of playing experience and seems to really be clicking in that offense.

Also, the vibe around the Eagles is amazing. Wentz is Foles' biggest cheerleader. Those guys are dialed in.

Unlike the Jaguars, the Eagles have an innovative and top scoring offense to go with their D. Jacksonville has that yesterday and that game isn't even close. Like the Jaguars, the Eagles pressure with 4 and get there a lot. The Eagles are so deep on offense it's crazy.

When it's time to pound the rock they have an amazing OL and Blount and Ajayi

Whoa...lets slow down...Foles had a good game against the Vikings.  However, This is the same QB that looked somewhere between abysmal and average the other games he played in this year.

I just never understand burning a play on 1st or 2nd down... it just makes no sense.  They line up 8 or 9 in the box, and you run right at them on the outside, and lose yards.  I know you can't predict how they will line up when you call the outside zone play, but there has to be a contingency plan.
