aristocrat Posted January 22, 2018 Share Posted January 22, 2018 hopefully the eagles and their analytics guy in the ear of the staff can keep them dialed in. that eagles defense is stout against the run which is very important playing the pats. if their run game is going they will destroy you. if it's just the pass game you can be in the game. if the eagles just run all over em and burn that clock it's a game. I really, really, really hope Dennison was primarily responsible for the fact that the Bills passed the ball over 4% less than the entire NFL when up by more than one TD and almost 8% less than the 18 teams that ended up with a record between 7-9 and 11-5. I hope Dabol persuades McDermott to have at least a little more of a foot-to-the-throat mentality when we're leading. It'd be nice to finally wrack up a ton of garbage time yards and points when leading the way the Patriots always do and the way the Rams and Eagles did this year as opposed to getting a lead and just holding on for dear life. Just the opposite happened here in Marrone's first ever game ironically against the Patriots. The Bills had the lead going into the 4th, but back then Marrone and Hackett were trying to run a no-huddle offense and those idiots refused to come out of it and burn clock. That allowed the Patriots and Danny Amendola to take them apart on a game winning drive late. Dome things never change. I never forgot that, it was college level game management. They line up 8 or 9 in the box, and you run right at them on the outside, and lose yards.
