I put a yes or no option, although here’s my opinion on it. I voted no, but I do think there a couple factors that makes the officials flag happy when it comes to The opponents playing the Pats. 1. Home field. I don’t have any stats to back this up , but Pats usually play at home in the playoffs and they probably get more calls because of that. In basketball it’s a proven fact that home teams get more calls. Not sure about football, this is just an estimated guess. 2. Brady’s reputation. Any 50/50 call is most likely going to go Brady’s way , especially on pass interference calls or roughing the passer. In saying that, it doesn’t explain the lack of calls against the Pats as a whole. So what do you guys think overall? Do you think the league wants the Pats to win because of higher ratings or whatever the reason may be? The one play that had the potential to be controversial(the fumble) was upheld like it should have been. It’s more like how top NBA athletes get calls that lower profile guys don’t, and are called for fouls at a much lower rate. There most definitely was a huge difference in the yardage. But I think the pats honestly just played a cleaner game than the jags. I personally had no issue with the PI to end the half. There have definitely been games where the fix(which I don’t believe is a “thing”) seemed to be on. To understand how a game is easily fixed by making the opposing team make more plays than the other team, watch this. The delay of game calls in particular are unexplainable. It's time to wake up. It hurts, but better to know than to remain ignorant. After watching the video, you will understand how the Pats came back today, and why we rarely beat the Pats. Last 5 games Pats 13 pen 110 yds Opp 35 pen 390 yds. Their noncatches are ruled catches to win games catches for Opp are ruled noncatches. Textbook blatant holding on the edge defender on the game clinching 1st down. There is no doubt the Patriots are really good but the fact they are given favorable treatment has been noticed and acknowledged beyond Patriot haters, to the point that announcers and pundits are commenting. Yes, I think they are favored to a degree though. I also think theres some truth to various other factors though. I think they are a well coached team that gets its players prepped for situations as well as any team in the league. I think that fans here are eager to remember the calls the pats get and forgot the calls that go against them. Yes, some go against them and I’d venture most flat remember none. Part of that is they are a good team and still win. Part is people want to believe in the conspiracy. i think people have started pointing at good calls as proof of bias. When you are so riled up that every call is proof even when it’s the right call — it certainly feels like they are always getting the breaks. When you add up a natural bias from refs towards stars, bias of our fans against them, and also them just being really good— things start feeling really skewed when they are probably just a little off kilter 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Orlando Tim Posted January 22, 2018 Share Posted January 22, 2018 I would state that it is not a conspiracy but the absurd nature of every team they play receive more penalties than any other games of the year. Jax had about 120 yds of penalites there past 3 games combined but had almost that many today. The officials are not corrupt but almost incompetent.
