row_33
A co-worker asked how players are paid from playoff games, whether it's a lump sum divided out, more to the winning team, or a conditional part of their contract. I had no clue, so how do they do it?

row_33
Thanks BF11, so who is explicitly eligible and are people screwed out of playoff shares as often happens in MLB? This also sorta answers why John Abraham kinda extended his injury to sit out the playoffs for the Jets a few years ago because it wasn't worth it to play and risk FA $$$$? OldTimeAFLGuy
....or you can get $$$ by proxy.............. According to CBS Sports, Garoppolo will be awarded a $51,000 bonus for New England's AFC Championship berth because he was on the Patriots' roster for eight games this season before being traded to a team out of conference.
