I thought the Giants was an obvious fit but they have been attracted by Shurmer's offensive guru status. I really liked the Munchack to Arizona link but he decided to stay in Pitt. Either that, or owners/execs have identified him as a Wade Philips kinda guy. They see him as a fantastic coordinator, but not cut out for being a HC. Whether that's deserved (for either of them) or not is debatable, but they may just want him as a guy on their staff but not leading everyone. I feel that he will most likely fail at his next HC opportunity. He’s gonna need the perfect mesh of assistants and players, but it’s possible. He can win Super Bowls based on his prowess as a DC ...absolutely........certainly NOT diminishing by ANY means the amount of work and effort he has to put in to be a top DC.......defense is his niche, he's damn good at it and I'm sure he makes a decent living in that comfort zone....don't even think I've seen his name mentioned for any of the recent HC vacancies, perhaps by his choice..........
