Crappy QBs can win a division if the whole division is bad. Winning a wildcard means you have to compete with the whole conference. The Bills could and should try to get better than Tyrod but he represents a baseline level required to even get a wildcard spot and the Bills haven't had that in over a decade. Mainly people are just stupid and stubborn and would rather be right and miserable while saying "I told you so!" than be wrong and happy and say "I was wrong." It's one of those "win the Internet" things, for some. Most rational people are probably finally accepting that, in fact, this is not an either/or thing with Taylor... we can keep him for the one year he he has left on his contract while also drafting our future Franchise QB. He's frustrating beyond belief but he's still young and has shown a lot in these last few weeks. I'm on board with drafting somebody new and fully know that this relationship can no longer really work regardless of any outcome, but damn, Tyrod might be leading other teams to playoffs for years. This was a flukey year where the AFC was clearly down and the Bills got in on a wing and a prayer. We improve the QB on this team, this year and we are a 10-11 win team. I can do what I want. Tons of crappy QBs have went 9-7 and we don’t praise them for it. This team will be better with a better qb. I stand by that. Be mad about it if you wish. But a bunch of armchair forum fans scream that he doesn't pass the eye test because he's not John Elway. OK, let's see what happens. Now he's in the playoffs. In the playoffs at 28 years old by the way, which is meaningful. I want to keep the guy - I don't get why any sane, rational football fan can hate him all things considered.
