6 episodes into Dead to Me and it is really good.  Very witty...

hmm, i watched 3 and checked out. Why TV is so good these days..so much different content out there.

Been watching two quirky Brit sitcoms

Fleabag Season 2..going in a different, deeper direction this final season, but i am enjoying it.

London Irish..really asinine humor..but I find it funny for some reason. I do watch with Subtitles on to make sure I catch all the language.

Last night I saw a pair of good documentaries on Netflix.

"Perfect Bid" about a guy who memorized all the prices for items on the Price is Right; kind of a fun off-beat documentary that gives some insight into the world of a TV game show.  In overall flavor, this one reminds me of "The King of Kong" in some ways, which is another fun, really well done documentary.

"Killer Legends" was a completely different sort of film.  It is creepy and explores several popular urban legends by going to the places where stories or alleged stories occurred, talking to key people, and researching the various stories the best they can.

Both definitely worth viewing but completely different sorts of documentary.

I just stumbled across Chernobyl on HBO last night and recorded it.  It was very good.  My wife was in Russia at the time of the accident on a school field trip.  They didn't know anything about it until they returned home to the then Czechoslovakia a few days later.

Chernobyl episode 1 was excellent.

I am surprised they couldn't find actors with Russian or eastern european accents, however.

ok.  this is good to know.  i keep seeing it floating around and just haven't pulled the trigger.  now it's the next on my list.

I have been blown away by Chernobyl.  All three episodes have been excellent.  I had no idea that Ukranians and Belorussians spoke with British accents.

I'll have to check out the game show docs. If you get a chance, seek out Big Bucks: The Press Your Luck Scandal special. It details how Michael Larson, an out-of-work ice cream truck driver used a then new devise called a VCR to tape the Press Your Luck show and memorize the light patterns on the Whammy board. He then got himself on the show and kept spinning until he'd won a then-record $110,000.

Thanks for the recommendation.  I'll watch this tonight and report back.

It's not on Netflix but seems to be on Youtube for free in its entirety.

Its really the only knock

the director says it was a choice to balance a foreign sound but still be accessible. Outside a few scenes the shows been so strong that I barely notice it during the bulk

Watched "Big Bucks: The Press Your Luck Scandal" last night on youtube.  Enjoyable documentary but somewhat slowly paced and it could have been 1/2 hour shorter.  It's amazing how primitive the technology was, at least until this guy came along and they then changed it to make it much more complex.

I'm on a huge documentary tear of late, so I followed that one up with "ICARUS" on Netflix about the Russian athlete doping scandal.  That is a very well done documentary that I'd recommend to anyone.

Started watching The Handmaid’s Tale on Hulu. It has the secretive feel of The Americans. You’re never sure of who can be trusted. It really hits home on what could happen if religious extremists got control in a crisis, especially in today’s climate.

Wow, not a lot good coming to Netflix.

Jessica Jones is the only one I would say I am looking forward too, mostly cause I just picked up Spiderman into the Spiderverse this week to watch.

Did they just give up on Mindhunter season 2?

Black Mirror is the best thing going on Netflix. 3 new episodes come out on on June 5th. Stranger Things is Netflix's big hit and for good reason it is dam good. A lot of my favorite Netflix originals have been canceled in the past year or so. American Vandle, Dare Devil, Punisher, and so many other good show have been given the axe by Netflix unfortunately.

I watched Into the Spiderverse on a flight recently.  That one was incredibly well done.  I can see how it was winning awards.  And the scene at the end of the credits was hilarious.
