      Problems logging in?   11/05/2017

I know a few people are getting logged out too quickly. I don't have the answer to that yet.   However, one change that occurred is that there is no longer a log in name and a separate display name. The upgrade discarded the log in name and now uses the display name. So, to log in:   Username: <display name> Password: <your password>   If you need to contact me to find out what your display name is use: Contact Us  and we can get things sorted out.

The Rose Bowl is the only place left standing where the Bills lost a Super Bowl

Recommended Posts

With the recent fall of the Georgia Dome, the only stadium left that the Bills lost a Super Bowl at is the Rose Bowl.

XXV - Tampa Stadium - Bills 19, Giants 20 - Demolished '99

XXVI - Metrodome - Bills 24, Redskins 37 - Demolished '13

XXVII - Rose Bowl - Bills 17, Cowgirls 52 - STILL REMAINS

XXVIII - Georgia Dome - Bills 13, Cowgirls 30 - Demolished '17

I believe that once all four stadiums fall, only then will the Bills reach their former glory. Sort of like destroying the One Ring.

Your thoughts?

Its pretty scary looking at those teams in sports who were "cursed" and never won a championship in decades like the Red sox, Cubs and then thinking about how close we were . Sure we can demolish the stadiums but the bitter memory will remain until we finally win one!

We could always take OJ's name down from the Wall of Fame and see if that works before we start trying to condemn the Rose Bowl

We've been waiting since Flutie left.  Let's face facts.

OK, Bills fans have got to settle on what exactly the curse is.  There were no competitors for the Cubs/Billy Goat Curse.  That was it - the Billy Goat did it, no talk about alternative curses, etc., etc. The OJ Wall of Fame (added 1980) is the best story because, well, nobody else has anything like that in their rings/walls of fame, but the chronology isn't quite right. The Curse of Doug Flutie works perfectly chronology wise, but otherwise it really only resonates with Bills fans. I vote for OJ.

Don't hold your breath

The Rose Bowl will be around long after we're all dead.

We can try to somehow break the curse, or do what worked for the Red Sox and Cubs...

Hire a competent FO and run the organization intelligently for a while.

Only one of the three demolished stadiums was built before The Ralph (Tampa Stadium opened about 5 years earlier)

I like the ticket prices just the way they are....inexpensive.

A new stadium means PSL's and big increases.

Unfortunately I don't think the Rose Bowl is going away anytime soon.

I once went to an event in the Arena in Arles, France. Busy place, with concerts, plays, sporting events. It's 2000 years old. The Rose Bowl and the Ralph are mere babies.

Here's a fun one.  Would Nicole Simpson and Ronald Goldman still be alive if the Bills had WON some of those SB's?

OJ was spotted wearing his Bills uni this past Holloween, so obviously he ties himself to this team.  Maybe the losses were the straws that broke the juice box?

I have always felt putting Scott Norwood on the wall of fame would break the curse

I know he's Lead The Charge a couple times.  Pretty sure they lost all games.

I'm like 99% sure he Led The Charge in the Jets game in 2011 when we were 5-2 as well.  Unfortunately we saw how that worked out

We have to hire Wade Philips back. He's the only way to break the curse! Ralph screwed up big time dumping him (and for also forcing him to start Johnson instead of Flutie in the playoffs).

Once Wade is back, all will correct itself from there. The Bills will be back to losing Super Bowls in no time!

Interesting theory. Except OJ didn't kill anybody.
