I knew he'd be a good run stuffer since that was always on his resume, now if he can turn into a dual run stuffer/pass rusher that would be ideal. I don't see him developing into some dominant sack master, just a competent end. He only fell that far due to the shoulder. You mean the shoulder injury allowed Whaley to get a player rated higher than his draft position? He will never be a 12-16 sack guy BUT he will become one of the best run stuffing D ends in the league. That's where I am. And I don't expect him to get those 3rd down DE opps because he clearly hasn't earned them........which is disappointing.
