BringMetheHeadofLeonLett Posted March 6 Posted March 6 I wanted to make a life out of radio... romantically believing that bringing some sort of important music to people could galvanize a thought, a common purpose which has always united us as a people. how quaint I suppose, but as I go further and further into life, I've found that most of us really do seek that. Community, a sense of belonging... a sense of purpose. Right now it seems people in other countries innately understand it better than we do in America, but I'm pretty sure we'll eventually get it too. There's nothing more important than those you love- the song gets dark from here, so God Bless your twitchy asses, and, please, teach your children well. ) 2 1 Quote

StarlessAndBibleBills Posted March 7 Posted March 7 Sexy, charismatic as hell and fantastic live. Samantha Fish. She's coming to Babeville May 31 and I'll be there. (Belting MC5 is a pleasant curve-ball from her) And for something fairly different, Corrosion Of Conformity playing at the Kodak Theater in Rochester. Another great live act. I'll be there too. 2 1 Quote

I worked for a classic rock station back in early 2000. we were using reel to reel, cassettes and cds before moving on to the digital scott studios. doing vo for the weekends, remotes and live running the board from 5-9 for the john boy and billy show. also had a 2 hr request show on sat nights playing just southern rock. I was only in it for 3 years and enjoyed the experience but could see even then the direction radio was going. glad I was able to experience it before all the changes. Here's the shiny, happy spin on the Act which destroyed communications in the United States, as spun by the FCC - and they still tout it, LOL. In the 'gas prices' effect, this has led to the ruthless monopolistic behavior of 'Live Nation', Ticketmaster, and a 38% fee on every form of live entertainment we average schlups look to enjoy: https://www.fcc.gov/general/telecommunications-act-1996 I wish people who spew so much knowingness actually paid attention to why their world has gotten so limiting, but it's easier to throw crap at walls and hoot and holler in delight as the crap hits the wall I suppose. 2 Quote

This song's timeless - in 38 years, AI will actually plant it into your kid's prostate to bring a healing sense of harmony 1 Quote

All these years later album still steers my brain in unexplainable ways. Best I can figure is that if this song exists, then so do we 2 1 Quote
