Warren's DNA test is a disaster for her

... But not if you read just the headlines. Because the "independent unbiased" media is reporting from the same script.

I honestly can't believe she released that.

I'm more Native than she is, and I didn't qualify for preferential treatment or aid because of it; because it's not a high enough %.

Good grief.

Is there a link to the actual results? I could only see peoples comments saying something about 6-10 generations ago

My wife grew up on the Rez, she said where she is from, anyone with less than 40% is considered white. My wife has a decent amount (I think her great grandmother was full) but she was still called white girl and not considered indian by them

Here is the actual report results. (added) It does not appear that Warren is making the original data available, only the interpretation of that data by the person she selected to review it.

This is important, given the non-definitive conclusions even of Warren’s expert. It is possible that another expert reviewing the data could come to a different conclusion.

And as the Globe notes, “Warren’s aides would not say whether she or any of her three siblings had previously done a commercial DNA test that would have provided them with some assurance about Bustamante’s analysis.”

So going by her expert, the most she could have is 3.25% and worst case .20%.

That's not enough to be anything, and I bet most people would have something similar

What's hilarious is she took Trump's bait. He was making speeches a few weeks ago about how, if she were to become the nominee, he would give her a DNA test to take during their debates.

It was Troller-in-Chief at his peak... and she went ahead and did it anyway.

And it's blowing up in her face in a spectacular (for comedy purposes) way.

What's important to note for the casual observers of this story, those without a partisan interest in it (who DO exist), is HOW the media is covering this story. They're using the same words. The same stretching of language to avoid saying the truth.

...Almost like it's a coordinated effort to protect her image.

They think you're too stupid to notice the coordination.

Trump chimes in:

One last summary of this (as D.R. pointed out above) coordinated Warren campaign/media release............

Okay, let’s talk about Elizabeth Warren’s DNA test

FTA:

First of all, let’s just get this out of the way. This is no exploration of discovery or personal growth. Warren is preparing to launch her presidential bid and she wants this story buried before things heat up on the campaign trail. This is simply phase two of the supposed investigation which was done in early September finding that Warren’s alleged Native American heritage didn’t help her career. They got someone at the Boston Globe to write a splashy article on the subject as well. (Ethnicity not a factor in Elizabeth Warren’s rise in law)

As to this DNA test, let’s just say that there are enough red flags popping up to form a new country. To begin with, why would anyone go to all the bother of seeking out a specialist from Stanford? Why wouldn’t you just go with Ancestry or 23 & Me like everyone else and use standardized testing? (I’m just going to toss it out there that the possibility exists that Warren actually did one of those tests and it came up dry. She’s refused to answer the question before when reporters have asked if she did one.)

And this Carlos D. Bustamante isn’t actually a geneticist, at least according to his Stanford bio. He’s a biologist and a statistician. He doesn’t appear to do DNA testing, but rather analyzes test results and applies them to anthropological questions. On top of that, what sort of test results is he providing? Warren’s chosen doctor should answer the question of what it means to say the evidence “strongly supports the existence” of a Native American ancestor, only narrowing it down to a span of four or more generations dating back to colonial times.

But just for the sake of argument, let’s say that the test is legitimate. She has one pure-blooded Native American ancestor somewhere as far back as ten generations ago? That means that Elizabeth Warren is less Native American than I am black. And while I may fail the “single drop” test, I’m a pretty white guy. (Just for the record, I’m apparently vastly more Native American than Warren but I’m still white.)

Elizabeth Warren grew up white, with all the privileges and benefits that go along with that, while suffering none of the challenges associated with growing up on the reservation and being perceived as a minority. Schools boasted about her ancestry in their staff listings and it’s a farce to suggest she didn’t use that to her benefit.

Friendly reminder this action by Warren—not simply stating she had a distant ancestor—is the reason people started mocking her.

Media still going to march out and defend this. Every single one of them.

MoreThe lesson the media took from the Kavanaugh affair is apparently that the media emerged with too much credibility left intact.

.

Only a Democrat could move the goal posts from submitting applications declaring themselves as Native American to a DNA test that shows they might be 1/512 Native American and have the media declare that their original claim is vindicated.

Hey, she took the test! That means Trump will live up to his deal and donate a million dollars to charity, right?

I mean, here is Fox News video of him saying it. Not some "liberal cabal", Fox News:

Annnnnnd he won't. Here's him denying what he said on video. Again https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/411414-trump-denies-offering-1-million-for-warren-dna-test-even-though-he

It is hilarious that people here believe this putz.

I'm sorry, I'm sure that was funny, but I couldn't understand you over the incredible mental gymnastics people here are doing trying to work out how 45 isn't a lying POS, and that he totally didn't promise to make a donation, and how it's all really Warren's fault for complying his challenge.

?

Or hell, maybe he's just senile.

Warren didn't "take a test", nor did she "publish the results".

She had a sampling done by someone who isn't in the field (not a geneticist), but rather a biologist and a statistician, who analyzed the results privately, and did not release his findings, other than to say that Warren "may" be as much as 1/32 Native - 1/512 Native; which is less than the average American, doesn't justify her using the heritage as a career stepping stone; and hasn't been corroborated.

Are you really this stupid?
