It's arrogance that won't let Obama keep quiet. Same problem Smolette had after his charges were initially dropped. He just had to go spike the football to the press and piss off the city of Chicago.

Liberals - especially the ones in power - just don't get it. Sometimes it's better to just keep your mouth shut and let ***** blow over.

Obama must have given Larry Sinclair a call.

The thread that follows explains in detail (with the newly released documents) the "why" Flynn had to go; when you read them how any American doesn't get chills is beyond me you are too far gone.

In summary....why Flynn...

When Obama imposed sanctions on Russia on December 29, 2016, they knew that calls would be made between the transition team and Russia (obviously and that is perfectly normal but at the time low info America believed it was collusion the media had been relentlessly telling us collusion! for 4 straight months); that would no doubt be incoming NSA Flynn and Ambassador Kislyak and that those new sanctions would be discussed....phone conversation does happen and its "tapped" by the FBI.  More nonsense continues coming from the media.  Logan Act!!

The phone call between the two is leaked to the WaPo on Jan 14.  Deliberately timed bc the next day on Face the Nation Pence is asked if any Trump campaign officials had any contact with Russians or any that may have meddled in the election to which Pence says "of course not."  Soley thinking about the campaign.  Not the transition.

The FBI and media exploit this.  They will use the recording to "prove" Pence was either lying or lied to (it will become lied to as the reason they removed Flynn).  Pence was simply being honest in his response to the question about contacts.  Flynn was honest in his FBI interview but it made Pence look bad.  And the media pounced.

In order to keep investigating Trump, Flynn had to go because he knew he had done nothing wrong.  He couldn't remain.  And as Andy McCarthy said this am:  "He had been the head of the Defense Intelligence Agency, he knew how the FBI worked in conjunction with the intelligence community and it is inconceivable to me, if you wanted to continue an investigation of the president during the president's administration, that they could have pulled that off with a sophisticated intelligence actor being the national security advisor and being loyal to the president," McCarthy, a Fox News contributor explained.

Read the documents of them discussing this.  The evil that they did behind the scenes to get it to where he was "lying to investigators" and threatening his son (who had newborn baby at the time) and essentially get Flynn fired then accept the plea deal....off the charts disgusting.  And the first major domino falls in the ensuing THREE plus year Russia hoax.

https://cfif.org/v/index.php/commentary/54-state-of-affairs/1987-obamas-meanness-can-be-delayed

Sometimes it’s really hard to know where to begin. The sheer scope of the meanness, the petty viciousness, of Barack Obama and his minions is astonishing.

So we all have read by now of the park ranger who said his superiors ordered his team to make the government shutdown as painful as possible for the public. We know about the park service going out of its way to spend more money closing down the open-air World War II Memorial on the National Mall than it would spend to leave it open by doing nothing. We know the park service has closed the parking lot at Mount Vernon, closed a privately owned inn, forced octogenarians out of their privately owned home, closed roads that allow the viewing of Mount Rushmore, blocked access to Old Faithful and the Gettysburg battlefield, and even tried to shut down part of the open ocean.

If you’ve paid attention, you’ve seen that military chaplains have been forbidden from holding services (as even the Huffington Post attests), and that the White House is deliberately trying to collect shutdown sob stories (after creating the conditions for them in the first place!) as a form of political hardball that amounts to using the public as pawns for the benefit of His Eminence Barack. Not even the Amber Alert web site has been spared (although, in an example of how arbitrarily discretionary the Obamites’ shutdown decisions are, the First Lady’s “Let’s Move” campaign continued to operate).

But what truly astonishes is the lengths to which the liberal media will go to cover up these evils as if they are mere political banalities, while flat-out lying about the source of the shutdown woes.

What’s funny is that the Government shut down was portrayed as something that the country couldn’t withstand for even a few days. Fast forward to today and with the government now fully open we’re being told that the private sector should remain shut down....forever! You can’t make this stuff up!

the logical thought occurs... were the Russian sanctions a ruse by the Obamanation as a spring board to facilitate the Russian Collusion narrative?

@ALF posed a question the other day about the one major reason for disliking Obama.   The list would be much shorter is the question was "What did you like about Obama...can you think of one thing?".

This theatrical stunt with regard to sanctions and expelling Russians was so nonsensical that it bordered on absurd.  The truth was he and his party got their taints handed to them in the election, and at a minimum, it was obvious sanctions and expulsions were designed to create a crisis for the incoming administration.  Simply put, there was no reason to do any of it as he was packing his bags for his own Mara-Lago up off the coast of Massachusetts.   At a minimum it was the action of a petulant child, it certainly created  a challenge for the incoming administration as the country worked through a pretty brutal election cycle where one candidate won the popular vote, got a nice plaque for her she-shed in Chappaqua while the other got the White House, and at worst it was a dangerous game of international politics that raised tensions unnecessarily.

Knowing what we know now, it's fairly obvious what happened---Obama/Biden were neck deep in manipulating the American public.  Put this on the pile marked "Reasons to dislike Obama".

It’s Time for the Left to Stop Pretending Obama Was Scandal-Free

by Matt Margolis

Original Article

How many scandals will it take for the left to admit that Barack Obama had the most corrupt presidency in U.S. history?

Recent revelations that Barack Obama was personally aware of and involved in the bogus investigation of Trump over nonexistent collusion with Russia and the railroading of Michael Flynn should have put the myth of Obama’s scandal-free presidency to bed. They didn’t of course.

If the dozens of other scandals during his presidency didn’t stop Obama’s loyal believers from believing in his messianic infallibility, Obama’s participation in a coup against Trump, a man they’ve been conditioned to believe is worse than Hitler, is not going to convince them.

Wait. Is he an egotistical narcissistic bastard who cares about no one but himself or is he the jealous type?  So hard to keep these things straight. Do you guys have a playbook or something?

you don't put sanctions on another country the day before the last day of your presidency and put that on the next administration. if you had even an ounce of decency, you let the next one make that decision as it is they who will be dealing with the ramifications.

has there ever been a situation like this previously? i would be seriously surprised if there were.

Nope. There has never been a president who interfered in the peaceful transition of power before Obama.

That's going to stick with him for long after everyone on this board is gone. History will remember him as the tyrant he was/is. It's just starting to be revealed, and it's only going to get worse for him as more comes out.

(not that you don't know this  )

It's not exactly the same, but 41 went into Somalia after the '92 election.  So, he saddled 42 with a war that hadn't been going prior to the election.
