Refugee Crisis in the U. S. (?)

Asking because I've been out of the news cycle (but for headlines) this week: I thought it had been confirmed the attackers in Paris were all French nationals? I remember reading about the guy who was saved but thought that had been debunked?

From WSJ: A body of an attacker who blew himself up was found with a Syrian passport with the name Ahmad AlMohammad. Authorities have confirmed the passport is fake. Fingerprints taken from his remains match the prints of a man who entered Europe via the Aegean island of Leros on Oct. 3.

Don't worry I'm sure he is the only "non refugee" mixed in with these helpless women and children.

Breitbart is reporting eight Syrians were caught at the Texas border.

Allegedly with forged Greek documents

"A stranger is just a friend you haven't met. "

until they are sawing your head off with a dull knife.

It looks to be veto-proof out of the house.

Someone needs to change their headline from "France is ready to accept more refugees, but Republicans are not."

That will be the headline..........................even with the bipartisan, democrat support........................... :D

ADDED: President Obama responds to the House vote...............

Again, it doesn't matter. This will be handled through the executive administrative state.

The Obama administration will simply say that they believe they have the Constitutional authority to disregard Congress in these matters, as this responsibility can be comfortably found within the purview of the Executive branch. The administration will do as it pleases, knowing well that it will take years for Constitutional challenges to surface in a court setting, and their will having been done, and President Obama long out of office, before anyone can rule.

Even if an injunction is issued, it will be ignored.

Make the President an offer he can’t refuse on refugees

As much as we rightly fear Islamic terror coming into our country, at the same time I think most of us also understand the legitimate fears any woman and mother has living in the Islamic world. So when it comes to refugees, let’s take the President at his word, and do a good deed at the same time.

Let’s set a quota demanding that refugees let in must be 70% women, or children under 13.

Since Obama says the refugees are mostly women and children, how can he say no?

Pass a bill.

Barack Obama decided politics must extend beyond the water’s edge, and attacked Ted Cruz while abroad. The basic problem is that Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) , like most of us, understands that the bulk of the people coming out of Syria are migrants, not refugees.

These aren’t women and children fleeing war and oppression. They’re men looking for work. The profile of the “refugees” is reminiscent of the profile of illegal aliens coming into the US over our southern border.

But if the President is telling the truth, and the refugeees are mostly women and children, then signing a bill mandating a quota of 70% women, or children under 13 shouldn’t be a problem, right?

Right? So let’s do it. Pass the bill. Make him veto it.

He would never be forced to veto it.

It would be held up in the Senate, and finally moved through only when it could be pocket vetoed.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — From a Kentucky college town, two Iraqi refugees plotted to send sniper rifles, Stinger missiles and money to al-Qaida operatives waging an insurgency back home against U.S. troops. The scheme was foiled and both are in prison, but the case has left jitters about whether extremists might slip in among Syrian refugees resettling in the U.S.

The two men had been involved in insurgent attacks in Iraq before arriving in Bowling Green, Kentucky, in 2009 as part of a U.S. program to help displaced Iraqis. Their plan unraveled when they teamed up with an FBI informant, leading to their 2011 arrest........................................................................................

Hammadi and Alwan pleaded guilty to taking part in a plot to ship thousands of dollars in cash, machine-guns, rifles, grenades and shoulder-fired missiles from Kentucky to al-Qaida in Iraq in 2010 and 2011. Hammadi is serving a life sentence, and Alwan, who prosecutors called an experienced militant, received a 40-year prison sentence.

Federal officials already had evidence of Alwan's ties to the Iraq insurgency from a fingerprint on a roadside bomb found in 2005, but it didn't stop him from entering the U.S. as a refugee four years later. Federal investigators starting tracking Alwan after discovering he had been held in an Iraqi prison. The fingerprint match was made later and used as evidence in the case against him.

So, this is how our government screens refugees?

I'm not sure it's Obama's puzzle, though he's put in a lot of pieces. The transformation started back in 2001.

Obama's and Hillary I think. That guy in Benghazi either knew about or was aiding in the transport of weapons to Isis/Al Qaeda whatever. Imho it was a hit carried out on him to close that potential leak.

Turning on President Barack Obama and other Democratic leaders, a significant chunk of the House Democratic caucus sided with Republicans in an effort to effectively stifle the flow of Syrian refugees into the US. On Thursday, 47 House Democrats voted in favor of a bill authored by Rep. Mike McCaul (R-Texas). The bill passed, 289-137, giving it just enough to overcome a threatened veto from President Barack Obama.

Funny thing.........After a closed-door meeting at the White House, Dems came away even more opposed to Obama´s plan.
