  1. That's what I remember hearing...that this was a play the Chiefs took from Daboll's playbook after we used it against them The Chiefs literally admitted they took this play from the Bills when Daboll used it to score a TD against them a few years ago. Not sure how they could think this since the reason they use the play is because we used it against them.
  2. I heard one analyst that said Williams does not do well throwing on the run...can't remember who it was but he said he was shocked to see how poor he was in comparison to what people were touting him to be while on the move.
  3. After 120 minutes in soccer, I don't think you could really tack on more time when you have no idea how long it could go on for. Especially when these players are playing so frequently throughout the year. There really is no off-season anymore for them with all the league games, cup games, tournaments and qualifying matches they are playing. They definitely have the most grueling schedule year-round of any sport. Baseball is pretty tough but they have a long off-season to get rested up. Soccer has no such period outside a few weeks here and there.
  4. While it's nice they addressed the fact that each team is now guaranteed at least one possession, that still leaves the situation of is it really fair that if both teams are the same after the first possession then the team with the 3rd possession can win it with no ability to respond for the other? I'd say no. I'm not sure why the NFL doesn't just go to the college OT format. It clearly is the most fair, as both teams are guaranteed the same number of possessions, and it comes down to which team scores more points on the same number of possessions, not which team has the ball for the 3rd possession of the game is still tied after the first 2. The NFL still has it wrong even with their "fix" in the playoffs IMO. Perhaps that is why Shanahan took the ball first? Never thought of this possibility but if both teams scored TDs or FGs or had to punt, then the team with the 3rd possession only needs a FG to win the game.
  5. I hate the Chiefs more at this point. Mostly for the fact the Brady teams never really kept the Bills from anything. They never were any threat except maybe to make a wildcard once or twice and lose in the first round even if they managed to get in. This version of the Bills with Allen might have won the Super Bowl in either of the last two years they got bounced by the Chiefs.
  6. They haven't lost a regular season game by more than 6 points since mid November of 2021 against the Colts at home. That's by far the longest in the NFL and completely absurd at how good they have been over that long period of time. Irritating they don't have more to show for it.
  7. with what money? Maybe...but I think there are still some residual hard feelings from the Jones camp on the lengths they had to go to even get a "decent" deal for him. I doubt they take that discount again.
  8. The Bills need the opposite of what they have on D. They need a D that performs OK during the regular season and turns it up at key times in the playoffs rather than pulling a "Lamar" in the playoffs.
  9. The draft typically tends to even out over time...sometimes teams go on good runs with picks then have some not so good runs. Some pretty in depth studies show that almost all teams regress towards the mean over a big enough sample size.
  10. I'd always prefer to know exactly what I need rather than letting the other team know exactly what they need, especially when there is no result that ends the game in that situation.
  11. The games they play are almost dead even over the course of many games...points, lead changes, etc...most times it comes down to making or not making 2 or 3 plays a game at the right/wrong times which is enough of a difference against two teams that are essentially for all intents and purposes are dead even. The slimmest of margins they are losing in the playoffs to them the last 2 games.
  12. Arn and Ole Anderson? The Minnesota Wrecking Crew??
  13. Mahomes and Reid made a deal with the devil? Seems improbable to have so many situations where it's close to 50/50 that they always seem to come out on top in.
  14. And injuries sustained in that game were a big reason they ultimately lost to the Chiefs.
  15. The Chiefs have that Patriot like quality under Brady that when the games get close near the end they figure out ways to pull them out and be on the right side of them regularly, especially in the playoffs. It's kind of sickening.
  16. Hester was amazing. There was a 2 year period where literally every time they kicked to him you thought he was going to score.
  17. The media has turned this into the NFLs version of Prince Harry and Megan Markle versus the Royal Family where people just make sh!t up and treat it as facts then basically create stories out of thin air and just go with them. It's beyond ridiculous by now.
  18. It looks like something from a rec league.
  19. He better hit the JUGS machine every day this offseason. Premier talent. Has to make those catches...he likely cost the Bills 3-4 TDs alone this year with his drops.
  20. To me, this personally says they were not happy with Butler's ability to get Elam to a place where he could contribute. Especially the part about "mutually decided to part ways". Yes, he may have gotten Benford and Jackson up to speed and helped Douglas integrate well, but the Bills spent a first round pick on Elam who has massive amounts of untapped talent and I feel they are laying some of that at Butler's feet. At the very least they believe he should have been able to help more than he did over the last 2 years. Likely both sides were getting frustrated with McD believing he didn't do enough with Elam and Butler pointing out all the others who performed well above expectations. Likely just both said they had enough and had reached an impasse. Butler also may have felt he did enough for DC consideration but McD likely laughed him off and said we gave you a premier talent and you did nothing with him, how can I justify that?
  21. That has a chance to be a really good hire...he has experience at both WR and QB and can help both groups understand where the others are coming from and what they are seeing on the field.
  22. Not really sure it has to do with security...just not a favorite past time of mine.
