So the 60 or so suites that have been removed, those people would be prime targets for these upgraded club seats in the new stadium. How many people were in that suite when you went? Imagine that many people times 60.

Back when I was involved in selling tickets, the smallest suites had 12 seats.  So multiple that by 60 and that's your minimum number.  And last time I asked, years ago, you could get a small suite for one game, for $12K.

The other thing to think about is, and I don’t know because I’ve never been in them. But the 2 tunnel end, corner clubs indoors. The M&T club and I can’t remember the other one. Those clubs are more expensive than any of the sideline clubs I think being indoors. I thought I also heard that food was included with those seats. Doesn’t look like a seat tile that in the new stadium is going to be available, completely indoors. Not sure how many seats are in those clubs but that’s another target audience for a fully covered and fully heated seat that is more expensive than the current clubs between the 40 and end zones.

At least one of those indoor clubs did include food/drinks with your tickets.  Last time I checked, again, years ago, one seat for one game was $350 for that experience.

I used to have STs, but living out of town I got tired of eating them for games that no one wanted to go to when I didn't go, which was most games.  That's when it hit me that it would cost me less to significantly overpay for the game or two I really wanted to see and ditch the stress and time commitment to selling the others.

This is where I am.  I'm at the upper end of what I feel comfortable paying for my club seats now, and not sure if I want to downgrade my seats to another area of the new stadium when that option comes available.  I also had several years where I couldn't find buyers for the games I was going to skip, even giving them away to friends and family was a problem, until these past few years.  I'm guessing with the new stadium, I could probably spend half of what I'm currently paying for my seasons, and get really good seats on the secondary market for the few games I'll go to.

There will be some who do ( I would not ), but I’m not saddened by it. Folks can decide for themselves what they are willing to pay for entertainment, such as attending professional sports events.  That includes how to pay for it, and perhaps that type of loan will work for them.

For example, Steve Martin and Martin Short tour came through my city last year and the wife and I definitely would have gone seen them, but tickets were very expensive.  The very last row in the upper balcony, which is about the farthest from the stage you can get and always cheapest, was still over $80/seat.  We opted not to go.  Where we would normally sit was over $150/seat.  And these are direct from the venue prices, not the secondary market.

PSL holders do have the option to sell their PSL to someone else at whatever price they can get for it. However, what  tends to happen is that a large number of PSLs become available when a team goes through a multiple season losing streak. The PSL for less desirable seats don’t sell for much - or at all - and the holders have to decide between continuing to buy season tickets for a bad team or simply giving up their PSL for nothing or next to nothing.

Here's some for the Jets, lower/100 level, for under $2K a seat...

To make sure I’m clear, a PSL becomes a personal asset, correct?  So if one decides to spend the money, it is sellable someday, if one also chooses?  And the value could potentially increase?

    Or it could decrease.

I know at least realtors that have 2-4 tickets, and they give 2 away or take clients to every single game.

I happen to know someone that knows someone that works for FedEx in the Philly area and has access to their Eagles season tickets.  He has multiple seats in multiple areas in the stadium.  He was telling me even though he gives the tickets to his clients, the clients don't always use them.  The seats he uses are in one of their club areas, because from there he can see the other seats/tickets he's given out and make notes on which clients actually come out to a game.

Yep, that’s going to be the new word that we live in. Those seats will now be occupied by someone’s clients.

Or me if they end up on the secondary market.  I'm willing to pay a high price for seats like that for the home opener as long as it's still less than what I pay for a whole season now.

I have a quick question - when Ralph Wilson was alive, whose idea was it to rename Rich Stadium to “Ralph Wilson Stadium?” That seems kind of conceited

New York State or Erie County, I forgot which one, since they owned it.  Interesting footnote, the field house, when it was first built was the Ralph Wilson Fieldhouse.

It’s also why McKinley mall will end up shuttering completely and they will rebuild it like they are planning with both the Blvd mall and eastern hills malls. A city center with restaurants, shops, parks, apartments, and likely some hotel space. Being that close to the stadium as well as the 90 it’s a no brainer. I can see Pegula spending some serious cash to help develop that in the very near future.

They are doing that with two of the malls in my area. One is supposed to start construction this fall, the other is being held up by two property owners that may go to eminent domain.

Actually it says both are done with 2018 at record lows

I’ve never been to a race live. I can only imagine it’s much more exiting.

For the first 20 or so laps it is.  I got to go to a race at Kansas Speedway back in 2016.  Just happened to be working in the area the same weekend.  We did get pre-race field passes, so that was neat, walking around seeing the prep before a race.  Once it actually started, like I said, boring until there's a crash or the last few laps.  Would I go again, probably not a loop, I would do a road course like WGI just to say I've been to one.

  9. Something to consider, the current stadium has about 120 suites, the new stadium will have about 60.  So these high priced PSL's for clubs may be the way they are going to force some current club seat holders not to purchase, so suite holders can buy up those seats instead.

I would say that even with interest, if they offered a 20 or 30 year PSL it would go over much better than it currently is. Fans would not worry so much about paying 1k a year for 30 years for a club seat. But when you demand all that money up front or within 10 years or less it becomes a much bigger nut for almost all “fans”. Of course the business/corporate side doesn’t care. They take their write offs asap.

I know it would for me.  $20K over 20 years is only $1000/year + interest.  I can deal better with that than any of the current set ups.

We had 9 home games last year (8 in Buffalo) and 8 homes games this year. So it’s equal.

Plus one pre-season game last year, making it 9 total home games.  This year we should be getting two pre-season games, making it 10 home games.  You still need to pay for a ticket to go to pre-season games.
