  1. I think we're all still scarred from the Wanny debacle. Make no mistake, that clown set us back five years. I'm struggling to recall whether he got the same level of public praise you mention here.
  2. I heard that once Bortles went off the board, Whaley went into a trance, set fire to the draft board, ripped the flag pin from Brandon's lapel, then once his eyes rolled back into their sockets started shouting, over and over, "Watkiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiins." Prior, the organization had intended on drafting defensive player.
  3. But there were times when it was CLEAR he was blitzing and the Dolphins just pooped themselves. As amazing as he was that day (I was there and he alone made the rain/cold tolerable), the Dolphins were almost as bad.
  4. An accusation that made me LOL, literally LOL.
  5. Yep. Early in the season he missed two opportunities for a pick six. He didn't miss the third. God, he had such a monster game in week 16. The Dolphins were still in playoff contention, and he made it look like they didn't even care to be there.
  6. This, like many of the all-22 reports throughout the 2013 season, supports my ongoing claim that the "space calls" (the screens, traps, counters, sweeps, etc) simply weren't an option with our line's interior. But that won't stop most Bills fans from blaming Hackett for not calling the plays we couldn't run.
  7. I do wonder about this. Brooks was supposed to be our steal of the 2012 draft. Instead, our 2013 UDRFA Robey has flat out lapped him. As Yolo correctly pointed out, for the great plays that Robey made in 2013 (he was one of my favorite players), for his ability to get to the quarterback with ligthning speed, to close the gap on short passes and make plays in the backfield, he also had a front row seat to long throws into or near the endzone, most often caught by receivers 6-8 inches taller than him. I wouldn't expect a 5'7" UDRFA to NOT be exposed during his first year, but there's a reason he was passed over (pun intended) 254 times. It's my hope that, like JR says, he works his tail off to make people forget about his size, because he certainly showed legitimate star power at times during his rookie campaign. ***Serious question: Could he be tried at FS??
  8. You would have gotten one from me just for the idea. Seriously, though, this site needs up and downvote buttons.
  9. Shoulders, ankles, hips, meh. Disc surgery? Not the same.
  10. In defense of the topic starter (moi), the intent wasn't to bash him. It's a news piece. If there was an ulterior motive, it would have been to snuff out the WHY THE !@#$ DIDN'T WE FRANCHISE BYRD threads that (as of last week) are still popping up.
  11. Or we could not go after him...because he stinks. Talk to a Pack fan. I've yet to hear one sing his praises. The mention of his name is usually met with an eye roll.
  12. Or receivers cop to their mistakes *cough* Stevie *cough* Couldn't resist
  13. #Saints S Jairus Byrd having surgery to relieve disc issue in back. Expected to be full go by training camp, per Sean Payton.
  14. I think this is the first time you've shared this opinion.
  15. And of course you're welcome to think whatever you like. But 6.9, based on the data you provided, is not decent. And it's certainly no indication that Stevie will be missed (your words). And of course you're entitled to miss cheering for the guy. I remember the week and a half I spent missing Marcuth'th Mailbag.
  16. Fine. But if you think 6.9 is decent, then what do you call Woods' 1.2?
  17. Many others? Well, I guess that depends on how you define "many," considering the receivers who did better far exceed your "many." I guess we also differ on the definition of "significant" given Stevie's drop percentage (6.9) and Brandon Marshall's (7.3). If you think the "slice and dice" accusation helps strengthen your case, though...have at it. The fact of the matter is, you claimed that the Bills will "miss" Stevie because his drop percentage isn't as bad as some are making it out to be. You said the percentage was "average." Then you posted a link that showed that any claim to mediocrity was simply wrong. So, I'm sorry if you'd rather I not take the stats you provided at face value, but thems the facts, partner.
  18. Slice and dice? You said he had an "average" drop percentage. It required very little slicing and dicing to disprove that. In fact, all I had to do was repeat what you said. And, as far as 2013 goes, with the same quarterbacks that couldn't do right by Stevie, Robert Woods was elite in the area you (falsely) claimed Stevie to be average.
  19. And guess who ranks 6 out of those 144 receivers...okay, I'll just tell you: Robert Woods.
  20. Based on the numbers you've posted here, Johnson ranked 120th out of 144 in drop percentage (of receivers targeted 50+ times)
  21. I think Williams will get the most TD's
