  1. It's not the stupidest thing ever said on this board. Not by a looooooooooooooooooooong shot.
  2. Metra to the west, Western to the east, Diversey to North. ha, !@#$ing hipsters. Eastern boundary is Western Southern boundary is North
  3. But not before jumping the shark jumped the shark. So congratulations are also in order for you.
  4. I don't follow. There should be continuity so satisfy the players' egos? I'd actually contend that a defense that can consistently smother the run and get off field quickly (and not give up first downs on 3 and 15+) is a defense that carries itself with pride. Last year's excitement created highs as high as the disappointments were low. This fan will take consistently good over occasionally great/terrible any day.
  5. Guess you never heard of a little place called Logan Square. It's been described as an unending, unfunny episode of Portlandia.
  6. I wouldn't be shocked if he got to double digit sacks again this year, but I wouldn't hold my breath expecting ANY of our players (Hughes included) to put up the kind of sack numbers they did in 2013. The defense simply isn't built for it this time around. The only player I'd say is a lock for double digit sacks is Mario.
  7. All this because he's been killing it opposite Chris I haven't played football in 20 months Hairston and a seventh round rookie?
  8. Haha...let's just say that we're grateful for what we could get.
  9. Yeah, we didn't want the hippies to feel left out.
  10. Well, we've heard from his publicist. What does Marcel have to say?
  11. I reject OP's premise that this isn't a rant looking for a topic. If by now you can't determine what makes Sammy Watkins 'different'--given all the training camp reports, his college highlight reels, the scouting reports et al--then it feels as though you're proactively ignoring the conventional wisdom which more-than-adequately provides the answer you're looking for.
  12. Well, you may not agree with his politics, but what data did he present in the report that runs counter to what you just shared yourself?
  13. http://www.slate.com/blogs/browbeat/2014/07/21/john_oliver_prison_segment_on_last_week_tonight_is_one_you_should_watch.html My views on this were pretty well formed before he lambasted them Sunday. But he makes a pretty good case against privatizing prisons.
  14. Cletus and Rags: are you guys affiliate with private or public institutions? Or both. Personally, I think the concept of a prison-for-profit is a crime itself. Just being honest.
  15. Honestly, I know you have more experience dealing with these things, but from 30,000 feet, I don't really care about a prisoner's willingness to reform, if it's an opt-in program, it's destined to fail.
  16. Lest we forget he WAS involved in a NCAA dust up over a party that he supposedly wised-up and left. Story seemed fishy then. Seems fishier now.
  17. Well, you're right. There's no excusing that.
  18. I'm curious about what you don't like about Sal. I think he adds just enough obnoxious opinion to be an engaging radio host without venturing into the realm of supreme !@#$. Plus, I think 90% of the points he makes (may be more) are right on point anyways. So he brings it with a little more gusto, GOOD! That's what we want in our radio guys, right?
  19. Get plenty of salt and butter, mah man. Then may be we should reexamine whether we're caging criminals or rehabilitating citizens. Seems you've indicated a severe failure of the latter. This guy gets it.
  20. Then wtf are we doing TBD? Let's get our blood tested, find him a match and get him a new one!
  21. We should definitely do our best to piss off convicted felons. Once their sentence is up, we want them enveloped back into society with the highest level of resentment imaginable.
