  1. I knew you were going to post that. And that sentence...THAT LONE SENTENCE...completley contradicts everything he's asserted above about the Bills QB's being giant pussies.
  2. http://www.wgr550.co...Wanted/20485040 "Am I asking for a lot? Possibly. Shouldn't the team ask for more? How can the Bills come back next season with the same mindset on offense. It's all about protecting the ball and playing close to the vest. There isn't any feeling that they're willing to take shots down the field. They aren't bold offensively. I think there are plays to be made (this is why I rarely get after the OC because he calls plenty of plays that would work with proper execution, which is how I feel about most OCs in this league). You want a new OC? Go ahead and get one. I think you're destined to get the same results from the same quarterbacks that aren't able to make the big play when it breaks down." --further down-- "This coaching staff tried to get EJ Manuel to rip it, and he now sits on the bench lamenting the fact that he never truly did. Manuel has said that if he gets another chance, he'll be more aggressive in throwing the ball. Great! Let's see it tomorrow! If Kyle Orton isn't going to make throws down the field, then what are we here for?"
  3. Then you're insinuating that the organization is telling him not to be so much of a gunslinger...
  4. But why would the organization say publicly that's what they want, then tell QB's behind the scenes (as you seem to be suggesting) not to do that?
  5. Jeremy White seems like he's on the verge of a nervous breakdown watching the QB play from Sunday for his all-22 analysis. He mentions the offseason refrain of letting WR's go up and make a play and how we've seen virtually none of that this season. Now, I know everyone here will completely over-complicate this and say it's because Marrone/Hackett are being obtuse by refusing to adhere to the GM's vision, but it's much simpler than that: our QB's suck. Not throwing the ball and giving WR's a chance is what cost EJ his job. It's about to cost Orton his, too. I have a feeling the 2015 QB's will be EJ and ____ and _____.
  6. i meant even leaguewide also...15 minutes till MW clears waiver wires...no?
  7. relative to other receiver contracts, not really
  8. you might benefit from reading the PM i sent you. fact: teams take chances on known problems all the time. some turn it around, other don't.
  9. The timing of the Orton thing can't really be blamed on anyone, IMO. He was threatening to retire, it's not like he was actively looking for a job. Going into to training camp with last year's QB's, in hind sight, was not a good plan. But, unless you've got a QB tree in your backyard, it can't be considered a "Whaley miss" unless there was an opportunity to get one and we missed on it. And honestly, you can't make this argument, nobody can. Because we can't know for certain that he wasn't trying to orchestrate a trade for one. So, based on QB availability, signing Orton--when they did--was the best possible solution. Unless you care to assert otherwise. Hardly. The guy got injured. Kolb didn't come in and stink. He never even had the opportunity. The impact of this cannot be measured yet. You can go ahead and assume the worst (fitting), but nobody can make an honest evaluation of this. Note: I didn't say it has worked out. That would/should have been spent on? It's not your money. Who cares? The Stevie Johnson thing has been laid to rest. So...a move that was--at worst--lateral was...a miss? Sure. This one is ludicrous. Byrd hasn't played since WEEK FOUR. His sudden back surgery in the offseason seemed to take everyone by surprise. Plus, as Mango pointed out, has he really been missed? His best quality was his ability to ball hawk...yet we're still tops in the league in picks...so... Fair enough. Thus far, the Kounjo (sic) pick hasn't worked out. But who cares? The drafting of Henderson in the SEVENTH ROUND more than offsets the loss of a second rounder. Now you're stretching. I'm not refuting your points, but to blame this on the GM is stupid. Have we figured out the "dead money" thing yet? And again...who cares? Not your money. What will 5.2 prevent this team from doing? **What happens today when Williams clears waivers? Are the Bills still a disaster for letting him go? I'm guess so. Just wanted to check.
  10. "Above average" means he's a top-15 QB. He's not. He's not "average" either (15-18) He's "below average."
  11. I'll just got ahead and assume the vast majority of these are meant to be dripping with sarcasm.
  12. Odell Beckham (4-9) | NYG wins through 14 wks: -1 compared to 2013 Mike Evans (2-11) | TB wins through 14 wks: -2 compared to 2013 Kelvin Benjamin (4-8-1) | CAR wins through 14 wks: -5 compared to 2013 Those guys are having a major impact on their teams, alright.
  13. Oh, please. The trade was universally touted virtually no risk with exceptionally high potential for reward. We traded a damn sixth round pick and still managed to get more for it than we probably would have. Um, three day-one starters in the draft. Brandon Spikes And another double digit sack year from a guy we aquired in a trade for a half-empty bag of peanuts Not to mention big play production from Corey Graham And stability in the backfield that--at the very least--kept the ship upright after Spiller and Jackson went down in the same game I'd say it was a pretty good year for Whaley. Way more positives than negatives.
  14. Jauron. And it's not even close. I'm happy to see that posters are finally beginning to come around on this. I was ostracized...BIG time for saying this while he was here.
  15. Mel Gibson is *The Patriot.
  16. I'm not using this for anything. I called CountDorkula out on his inaccurate bull ****, which it is, FROM EVERY ANGLE Shall I list every receiver whose production fell off once he landed on a new team!?
  17. Uh...not on defense it's not. Not in the backfield it wasn't. Not a QB, not on the offensive line. We have better receivers now, I'll give you that. But top to bottom--as you contend---is not actually that different from 2012:
  18. And yet his termination in Buffalo coincides...WITH AN INJURY. So even if we did employ the absurdity here and pick and choose which games "count" it's irrelevant to count his healthy time as a measure of his time in Buffalo...by your logic. I'll take per game as they too fall short of 7 AND 8 TDs per year when extrapolated.
  19. Even if you count the game he did play in, he's still no one near 8. He's at 6.6. And under what circumstances do we pick and choose the games from which we pull stats to evaluate a player's career? Injuries or no injuries, whether he was a part of the game plan or a special teamer, he's played x number of games and has scored y number of touchdowns. You don't just elimiate the instances you don't feel like counting! It's nonsense!
  20. But that's not what the numbers are! He didn't average 8 TD's a year, he didn't even average 7, let alone some 7.67 bull ****! This is his fifth NFL season. He's scored 26 TD's. How... Okay, may be if we...he's played in 63 career games in which he's scored 26 TD's...extrapolated over an entire season...that's...OH WAIT! NOT 7! LET ALONE 8!!!!
  21. Marrone is last on the list? Such !@#$ing garbage. I know we like to joke about how unreasonably reactionary this place is after a loss, but give me a !@#$ing break. You put Chan !@#$ing Gailey as number 2!? Jesus Christ you guys have some seriously cloudy recollection of those years. No one remembers the 0-8 start? How bout when we dropped SEVEN in a row after starting 5-2 in 2011!? Wait, I forgot. He got Spiller into space.
  22. I see. So we're going to round up every player's stats now...or only after we remove the time they spent injured. Certainly you can't be taking this absurdity for real. Can you!? And to what end? For one more log on the MARRONE !@#$ING SUCKS fire?
  23. That's totally what your husband meant. Thanks for clarifying.
