  1. I feel much better about my own sanity now.
  2. In the interview, Marrone repeated several times that the deep stuff became available because the Broncos jumped the underneath routes and that was unlike anything they saw from 12 weeks worth of film. Translation: the guy with the !@#$ing ball in his hands has to react and make a play.
  3. Ultimately, the Bills are in the entertainment industry. Russ Brandon's biggest competition isn't the Patriots, the Dolphins or the Jets, it's the Sabres.
  4. What does Chip Kelly do that's creative? I'd like to know what you think. The Chiefs offense runs through Jamal Charles, which of our players is as good as he is? The Phins did nothing of the sort.
  5. On this we agree completely. Should we drop this Sunday then inexplicably drop one in Oakland, I would expect EJ to start in Foxboro. But not until then,
  6. What do you consider "creative?" And which coaches have earned the right to be called "creative" in which games this year?
  7. But the offense is neither good nor horrible. I rank Orton precisely in line with how our offense has performed thus far this year, just below average: PPG: 20th YPG: 22th YPP: 27th
  8. Dude, I have NO IDEA what to expect this offseason...at any level. And the Barnwell piece posted in the other thread points to what a lot of folks in the national media have been forecasting these past couple weeks: an unprecedented, leaguewide QB shuffling. If that comes to fruition, even to a small degree, it will have an impact on the Bills, even if we don't directly participate. So I don't know. But I'm certain we'll head into TC with a straight up QB competition on our hands.
  9. One of these days you'll actually address what other posters say and you'll stop with these stupid, childish strawman attacks.
  10. Switching back to EJ at this point in the season--while we're not yet mathematically eliminated from the playoffs--would be stupid. Period. It's an admission that the season's over, that in spite of hanging in the playoff race, there's really nothing to play for and this is now just turned into a three game audition. You're starting to sound like C.Biscuit. There are 21 other starters, and they're not here to throw paint at the wall and hope it all works out okay for EJ.
  11. And this is my gut speaking here: better him than EJ, for EJ's sake and for the sake of the organization, which, quite frankly, I'd prefer stay in tact as much as possible.
  12. Look, there wasn't a Bills fan with a pulse who wasn't enraged by that decision. But EJ had a lot to learn. He's learning. Robert Woods--his most public detractor--said as much last week.
  13. And again, the history of the NFL disagrees. And according to a week's worth of interviews once Orton took over, he was, in fact, demonstrably better at certain aspects of the game that quite frankly EJ had never been exposed to.
  14. The assumption that EJ can only develop through playing runs counter to pretty much everything we've historically understood about the QB position in the NFL.
  15. I'm responding to the outrage that the game plan was focused more on possessing and moving the ball vs. looking to make the big play.
  16. Or the coaches determined we were bound to lose a game, in Denver, where the Broncos are superb, that comes down to our QB and his receivers exchanging haymakers with Peyton Manning and his (who have already been identified in this thread as far FAR more experienced than ours).
  17. Well if Sully said it, then the coaches must be the !@#$ing morons we all know them to be.
  18. I think the whole Hughes thing has been massively overblown. I think it's somewhat peculiar. I also know that the logistics of substitution ESPECIALLY with how aggressive we've rotated the d-line throughout the second half of ball games all year long, I'm not that outraged by it.
  19. I'd be willing to see your side on these things if I weren't so sure you wished them to be true. Just being honest.
  20. Seriously, please refresh my memory (links would be nice). Because I do remember being quite critical of the receivers after the SD/HOU games for pouting.
  21. This has nothing to do with game planning, scheming or anything else.
  22. It fits the narrative. There's virtually no proof of this.
  23. If Gailey gets run out of town for hiring the wrong DC, then Marrone gets credit for hring the right one(s). I don't care how entrenched into the argument you are, there's absolutely no way anyone can make the case that our offense has been as bad as though defenses. The Hackett situation is FAR from analogous.
  24. In our case, though, it has. Bull ****.
