  1. The Patriots are 44-5 in the month of December since 2003. They're currently on a 16 game winning streak in the month of December. Good thing for your schtick that you couched your pass/fail metric with a win in Foxboro.
  2. Then I'll concede his motivations. Honestly, it doesn't !@#$ing matter. Because the line between 31 year old ten year vet getting lit up then getting skittish is much, MUCH straighter than this fabricated, cockamamie neutered concept.
  3. Washington, Tampa and Oakland all have fewer wins in 2013 and 2014 combined than we have in 2014 alone.
  4. Yeah, he was totally on point with how badly Lee Evans would be missed. Also, retire or not retire, there was serious questions about Orton's desire to play football. Period. And that was directly correlated to the original question about him standing in and taking a shot.
  5. Haha Welp, crazier things have happened!
  6. But, for real, that division is a !@#$ing joke.
  7. So what's your point? Now that we've !@#$ing quibbled over this, do you mean to suggest that Orton was indeed all-in (in spite of weasling out of TC here AND there) wants to stay in the pocket and take shots, but the coaches are telling him not to? Because that's what we're talking about here. Per always, you've managed to skew the actual discussion so far off the original point, it's not even worth moving on.
  8. The Colts are the inverse Bills. Whereas we're a quarterback shy, they have one masking what is otherwise a deplorable roster. That organization sucks. Look at 2011. You take away their old-world QB('s), and they're putrid.
  9. Looks like the Bills might have had a starting QB on their roster heading into TC this year:
  10. His teammates didn't throw him under the bus to the media!? See, works both ways.
  11. I agree that we're--at best--only making minimal progress toward the center as far as debating go. So let's look forward, which is less of a gamble in 2015: continuity, or something new?
  12. Okay sure. You're right, it's totally reasonable to assume that the forgotten voice in all of this, Mike Williams', is entirely credible and comes with zero baggage. Or he just knew that Williams was a lost cause and probably wouldn't have shown up anyways, as was Brown's point. Or we could just continue to subscribe to the possibility that the guy who's in the locker room every day might not know as much as the message board jockeys piecing together what we're told.
  13. I do know something about it. He was getting criticized by the national guys all summer for the way he was conducting himself.
  14. Never really played on sports teams before, did ya?
  15. Right. So, following your logic, he was clamoring at the bit to take massive hits behind a deficient offensive line. The coaches have since robbed him of that opportunity by telling him to duck and cover.
  16. I think the impact of the echo chamber and its complete disconnect from reality is often seen when a reporter, following completely media-fabricated story-line, asks a player or a coach a question about a developing "situation" and the player/coach looks so completely off-guard that it's clear that whatever the media thinks is going on, whatever they're telling us is going on, is often quite divergent from what actually happens.
  17. Yes. Him and Freddy both. And yes, may be I cried a little at the 1:14 mark. May be. I don't know.
  18. Actually, and I meant to post this WAY earlier, hopefully it doesn't get buried here: Chris Brown offered some sterling insight into the whole M.Williams thing. It was on the WGR pregame yesterday. He said in Williams' waning days, Orton approached Hogan and Watkins about when they could schedule some time to come in during off-hours to throw. Williams was standing right there and wasn't even an after thought in the process. Brown indicated that once he witnessed that, that Orton didn't even consider him among the peer group, that he knew Williams' days were numbered. It's also an anecdote that puts to rest that it was Williams v Marrone.
  19. Yes, and I gave mine as well. And, as debates tend to go, I think mine is WAY more plausible than yours. Orton--who was threatening retirement LESS THAN FOUR MONTHS AGO, got sick and tired of getting clobbered in the pocket. The OLine can't keep him clean and he's starting to hear and see ghosts. I simply cannot understand why we'd twist and turn to try and fabricate some explanation that the coaches are telling him to play like a puss.
  20. What is WRONG with you? I assure you...there wouldn't.
  21. If we win out, the Chargers and Chiefs will self-eliminate. One of those teams will finish 9-7. So, we need San Fran AND Pittsburgh to win this weekend to control our own destiny over those teams.
  22. Houston will have to get it done with a third string QB who, by all accounts, was BRUTAL on Sunday.
  23. You forgot about Hackett scheming all those throws to Sammy's shoelaces.
