  1. Remember Bill Polian ? I think he was the reason Marv had such a good career in Buffalo.

And Bill Polian's resume wasn't all that impressive when he started as GM of the Bills.

All I'm saying is if Buddy / Chan does half as well as Polian / Levy, it's STILL better than what we've had the past 10 years.

  2. I know I'm probably the biggest lurker here, and I don't have much to add, BUT maybe we should reserve a little judgment on this hire. I was just wondering if people's reactions were this bad when Ralph hired a head coach whose previous head coaching record was 31 and 42 for a .425 winning percentage and whose team never finished higher than 3rd in their division Not all that impressive if you ask me. I say let's give the guy a little chance before passing judgment. Just my two cents

    Go ahead and flame away.

  3. Greetings. Long time lurker here. Got my tickets for the game in Phoenix and was wondering if any of the Arizona Bills fans know if there are any stores in the Phoenix area that sell Bills gear. I'll have some time to kill on Saturday and thought I might go looking for some.

    Any help would be appreciated.

  4. I'm a lurker here (usually because I have nothing to add  but I've been reading for years). I just got my tickets yesterday :D. I got them from Stubhub at a significantly cheaper price than through Ticketmaster. Last I checked, they still had a lot of resonably priced tiks there.

  5. Hey Guys,

Just a lurker here, but if you're tired of the Patriots luvfest, you can hear the game on WSPQ ONLine. It's a station out of Springville. No lapses in the audio and all the commercials. (kinda neat for those who live out of town.)

Just my 2 cents worth

  6. Afternoon Fezmid!

As a manager in one of the Big Box stores, I think I may be qualified to answer that question for you.

It's all about the supply channel. Once you place your order for your wall sconce, that order is sent to the corporate office to be sent to the vendor that supplies the item. Once the vendor gets it, they place the order with their supplier (which 90% of the time is somewhere in China). Then once the supplier gets the order, they match it up with other orders that have been placed with them (many requiring a minimum amount of product to be ordered before shipping) before they put it on a ship to be sent to the states which could take up to a week or so. It arrives in the states, gets sent to the vendor;s warehouse and then shipped common carrier to the store where you placed the order. So, it normally takes 2 or so weeks to get it. I know this is frustrsting, but unfortunately that's the way it works.

I know this was a long, boring explanation, but I hope it helps. :)

  7. Although not living in WNY anymore (couldn't handle the snow anymore), i have a suggestion to keep the backend from fishtailing. Quikrete has a product out there that you can pickup called "Tubesand". All it really is is sand in a weatherproof bag. Toss a couple of those in the trunk or bed of your truck, preferably as close to the wheels as possible, and the weight will significantly reduce the chances of fishtailing. You can get it at probably get it at any home improvement store. Just my 2 cents for what it's worth. :D

  8. Have to agree with you guys. Can't find any decent pizza, subs or wings here in the high desert. Oh do I miss Pizza Junction, hot subs and suicide wings! I've always thought that if I decided to open a business out here, I would go back to WNY, buy the recipes from all the great eateries that are there, sign a non comptition agreement with them and spread the wny version of fine dining throughout the southwes. (One can dream)

  9. Great place to lurk, this is...also from NT,left in '81..Currently living in West Texas,Hell Paso to be exact.Where in NM??

    I too,miss the WNY foods...namely,Pizza Junction and Viola's subs..

Just some unsolicited advice...TSW and DTV are all you need to get your Bills fix.

We're virtually neighbors! Alamogordo to be exact. Been actually spending the last four weeks in El Paso for job training, (with another four to go) Since you're in El Paso, know of any sports bars that would be showing the Bills games? If I can find one, I'm going to try and get there for opening day. Thanks if you have any info.

  10. Another lurker here. I've been reading on this board for sometime now, but never felt like I had anything valuable to contribute. Left the Bufflao area (N Tonawanda to be exact in '84. Now residing in the Land of Enchantment. (New Mexico). Don't miss the snow, but do miss everything else about WNY. Pizza, Wings, good subs, and BILLS Football in your own backyard. Just want to say hi and GO BILLS!
