What would you rather have:
50% chance of signing Hopkins, but if he doesn't sign, he signs with the Chiefs.
25% chance of signing Hopkins, but if he doesn't sign, he signs with the Chiefs or another team.
0% chance of signing Hopkins, but he signs with a team other than the Chiefs.
option 3- 1

If Beane lets this happen, especially considering the Chiefs are in even worse cap shape than we are, he will be gone within 3 years. Book it.
Yeah…I’m hoping he’s wrong.

Per a buddy of mine that knows the KC director of player personnel Tim Terry, Hopkins to KC. No idea on any details or if it’s actually a done deal but I know that he knows Terry and he’s never given me a scoop or anything so take it for what it’s worth.

I'm not arguing he's not shiny. Take a look at my recent posts in this very thread.
It's not impossible, IMO. It'll depend on Hopkins' demands, for one thing. But I'd guess it's very unlikely.
It’s “unlikely” for any team right now. Which is why the favorites to land him are the Bills at +300.

The Rams added OBJ. The Eagles added AJ Brown. The Chiefs added Kadarius Toney. Every one of these additions ultimately changed the fortune of their team. IMO you're living in the past if you don't think adding a top tier WR can push a team over the hump. The Bills did it just 3 years ago and it revolutionized our offense.
Mike watches football and thinks it’s the 80s. There’s a reason WRs are now the most sought after recruits (outside of OTs due to scarcity) in college and why their price tags are skyrocketing in the NFL.

I liked him in rd 4-5- seems like a reach. I wish we took Ika, salvederi or jones.
if we went LB I wish we went To’oTo’o
To’o To’o isn’t an NFL player. He’s way too slow to play in coverage and gets bullied in the run game.

Initial reaction is...does Dorsey know how to use him?
The only thing I didn't like was that Beane panicked and gave away a 4th.
He wasn't getting past Dallas.

He's going top 10 and he's going to sue the ***** out of the AJC for lying about this entire thing.

There is zero reason to invest anything more than late round draft picks on Josh's backup from here on out. That money needs to be used to put players around him, and if he's out for any length of time the season is screwed anyway.

I'm not going to say that his attitude is anything other than someone that wants to win but at the same time, the rest of the team is/was already feeling it and adding on another emotional factor isn't what they needed.
You have no idea if that’s true. None of us are in the locker room, I’ll be on the side of one of the team leaders knowing what is needed or isn’t needed and not someone reading stupid narratives on the internet.

The Bills might not even be favorites to win the AFC east division. Miami and the Jets have closed the gap. Might even be better. Allen is the big difference that still gives a slight edge to the Bills
You’re ***** high if you believe that. Allen is more than a slight edge. Jfc some people really are stupid.

This season was just unbelievable. I cannot believe people are still blaming coaches for one loss after everything the team went through this year. It is a miracle we won 13 games and a playoff game to be honest. Wishing her a continued recovery.
Found McDermott’s burner.

All that writing and the answer is Tom Brady. Belicheck blows, they haven't drafted well ever, Brady was just that good.
2 hours ago, Gregg said:Brady the GOAT, Belichick the GOAT. Built a solid roster around #12. The Bills, Dolphins, Jets = Three stooges. Division was a joke as NE would usually have it clinched by late Oct/ early Nov. Because of it they usually had the #1 or #2 seed so they rarely had to play on WC weekend.
Belichik rode the TB12 coat tails. He's a garbage executive who didn't supplement the offense around Brady except for 1 year, but Brady was simply that good.

Like Beane has any say in the defensive selections. Spare me. Defensively McDermott might as well be the GM.
Well, you see, he’s the general manager. If he has so little control then the entire operation needs to go. They’ve drafted zero impact defenders as a tandem.

Speaking of mistakes, thank Christ the Bills held onto draft picks that Beane can waste instead of acquiring CMC.

It would easier to point out Beane's good moves than it would be to point out his multitude of mistakes. He's a joke.

I’m a huge Georgia fan…. But I will be the first to admit I don’t think Darnell Washington will make a good pro.
Hes a huge mismatch problem for mid tier college programs. But I don’t see him being anything special in the NFL. Size isn’t an issue in the league like it is college. He is not quick, slow feet, very methodical. I see him running roughly a 4.8 forty. He’s not going to be a receiving threat in the league. Red Zone? Sure maybe. He’s a Solid blocker and is that 6th OL.
Personally I think this kid is more a potential top 60 talk vs round 1 talk. All my opinion watching him over the years.
As a huge Georgia fan, I disagree with pretty much all of this.
He wasn't a focal point in Monken's offense, and that's because there's a generational TE talent on the roster. If he can't hack it as a TE in the NFL, he's an elite athlete that could easily pivot into a LT, but that's not ideal in a 1st rounder. If he gets to a team that understands his strengths he'll be a monster.
-
Beane is the bigger problem. He simply cannot draft impact players and that is now the most important thing, by far, when it comes to his duties since Josh's contract is kicking in

Clean house. Bring in an offensive mind and hire Todd Monken as the OC. That’s all I got because this was an embarrassment

McD and Beane have created a culture that the players love. Dorsey and Frazier have systems that sometimes really make the opponents look superhuman. I wouldn’t be upset if Dorsey and Frazier both leave.
Then we've seen their peak.
