I was planning to change my channel package and was waiting a bit to try and work in the ST. However, I noticed that ST was auto-renewed on my last statement so I called yesterday to change my channels and take off the ST. I started the chat thing like some had mentioned but she just gave me the 800 number without any code. So I called and talked to someone about taking off the ST and changing plans. The initial offer for ST was $5 off each payment (~$30 total) which I declined. The next offer was $9 off which was $54 total and would make ST right around $200. I declined that as well and that was all he could do. He really didn't press it but mentioned I was eligible for Genie upgrade which I had been thinking about since I am redoing the downstairs and really want to move the TV to a wall that currently doesn't have a cable line as well as set up a TV outside on the deck. So, I took that. I am not sure if that will impact any future attempts to get a deal on ST but I plan to try again at some point...

I just called and received ST for free with 1 yr commitment. I have been with DTV since 2004 and had ST in 2012 after moving and did the online Madden thing last year. The first rep just gave me the standard prices so I asked to be transferred to retention. I mentioned people getting half off and asked what they could do...she came back with free which worked for me. Thanks for all the folks that contributed to the thread with info. Go Bills!

My experience has been that the preseason live app on iOS devices blocked the video adapters or airplay. I have been able to use airplay to play the preseason games from my Mac to an Apple TV. I may try to connect my laptop directly to the tv for the next game. Last year, I did the Madden 25/Sunday Ticket online deal and the Sunday ticket app seemed to play to the tv just fine. My best experience was using my iPhone 5s with a lightning to HDMI adapter.

I will be heading out there from Eglin AFB (FL) on a bus tour. Not sure how many Bills fans will be on it but I have seen several stickers and license plate holders on cars around here. Unfortunately, it is a same day thing so we won't be there until 1030-1100 but we can bring drinks on the bus so I should be able to get a couple Genny Cream Ales in me before we get there. Hopefully, I will have time to walk around and check things out. Should be sporting a Nike throwback #15 Kemp jersey...Go Bills!

30 and married to wife #1 out in CA. Normally, non-Bills superbowls are just another game but it was tough watching that one knowing we had them beat...

I was sent to Tampa for four months last fall and spent my Sundays with the Brandon Backers...great group of people!

Hopefully, one of the backups can step up but if I was making the calls, I would think about F. Jackson in the slot more. He has similar size, can catch, is a tough runner, can block, and is a proven commodity. I like Roscoe but he seems to be most effective running his routes to the outside and I don't see him getting those 1-2 hard yards for the 1st after the catch on the inside like Jackson can.

I don't think it is that unusual. A couple of us here in GA tried to get tickets to the Bills/Panthers preseason game and when we got to the pay part on ticketmaster, it wouldn't let us complete the order since neither the shipping nor the billing address were in NC. Ended up having to go through razorgator or something like that...

I was able to see a bit of the warmups and watched Lindell kicking into the wind. If I remember correctly, he barely made one from 40 which I thought was pretty impressive considering the conditions. I think he tried one more from a bit further out and it barely reached the back of the endzone and was a bit to the right. Based on that and the apparent increased wind in the 4th quarter, I figured we would need to get the ball to at least the 20 yard line to even have a chance.

Yep, just spent the last two years in Australia (Adelaide) and it was good. There is actually a band (I think it is the Waifes) that has a song about all the Aussie girls that went to Perth and married the yankee sailors. I have heard similar things about Sydney...

I haven't lived in Dayton since late 1996 but my friends and I would go to a place called Tickets up in Fairborn. We were all from different parts of the country so we each had our own game we wanted to watch and could pretty much do that and also get some good greek food. Could be worth a try. I also remember the Damon's as another place we would go. I don't really remember any place having a lot of Bills fans. Good luck and feel glad that you are in Dayton...you could be stuck in middle GA... Cheers, Bill
