  1. Seems like Odunze wants to go to Chicago to join Williams.  Not sure if Chicago is planning to draft him at #9, but if we really want him, probably need to move in front of the Bears if he would otherwise be there at their pick.  I don't think we will be able to pull this off, but I hope I am surprised tomorrow evening.  If this does happen, I also hope that Odunze will be excited and appreciative.

  2. With all of the negative stuff that has been leaking out as we get closer to the draft, I would be surprised if the Bills were trying to move up for Thomas or Mitchell.  Granted, this seems to happen before every draft, some of the information being true and some not so much, but given our needs, I can't see Beane using resources to trade up for a pick that does not have high character.  If this is the case, and the target is a WR, it suggests that he wants Odunze.  Not sure that an "aggressive" trade up would be necessary for Worthy, but if Mitchell and Thomas are falling on draft boards, I guess it is possible that Worthy would be considered by some teams to be the 4th best WR option n the draft.

  3. Now with potential character and injury concerns with Thomas (and character concerns with Mitchell), where does this leave us?  Wondering if we draft a WR in the second round given that there may not be a WR with a first round grade left on our draft board.

  4. Seems like there are a lot of questions about the WRs available in the draft after you get past the top three and probably Thomas as well.  I thought Mitchell would be the guy, but I now think that character questions will disqualify him as a possibility for the Bills.  Starting to warm up to Worthy and Franklin, but I am not sure they are good value at 28 in the first round.

  5. A lot of stuff seems to be coming out about Adonai Mitchell's diabetes and being difficult (maybe "uncoachable").  Has this been out there for some time (the being difficult part) or is this the kind of negative misinformation that sometimes is put out there before the draft to intentionally hurt the draft position of a prospect?

  6. I also like Odunze for the Bills.  Has all of the physical skills and metrics to be a #1 WR.  Also played at Washington, so he has experience playing in unpredictable weather, and was a team captain with leadership qualities.

  7. Why do people want to trade Brown?  I thought he improved last season and still seems to have potential to continue to improve.  I get it that he is a free agent after next season, but don't we already have enough holes?  I don't think Collins can be counted on to play full-time or to be an adequate replacement for Brown for a full season.

  8. A lot of theories, speculation and sources about what may have been going on with DIggs, but this at least seems plausible.  Beane did not want a simple restructure, but wanted Diggs to take less in some way, at least in guarantees.  I can imagine that Diggs would not have reacted well.  Does kind of explain the way Diggs spoke about things (Josh as well) before the trade.  Who knows and we may never know.

  9. A few thoughts below:

    1. The Diggs trade puts more pressure on Allen both in terms of play and leadership, which seems the opposite of what should be happening with Allen already shouldering too much overall responsibility.

    2. Have to think Diggs wanted out, probably for awhile, and may have specified the Texans as where he wanted to go.  Given this potential dynamic, I don't think Allen had any power to keep Diggs from being traded.

    3. The Bills have lost a lot of leadership this offseason.  On offense, to maintain continuity, I would have kept Morse if the plan was to trade Diggs.  I wouldn't be surprised if this makes it more likely that Hyde returns to the Bills this season.

    4. If trading Diggs was the plan, I am surprised that the Bills did not take the max amount to restructure Allen this offseason.  That extra cap space would have been helpful to address the WR situation and other holes on the roster this year.

    5. Will be interesting to see Beane's strategy to replace Diggs.  It certainly would make sense to draft a WR in the first round this year and possibly use draft resources to move up for a desired WR.  Also makes sense from a financial perspective to have control over a drafted player for at least the next four years.  Alternatively, is it possible that Beane views the potential availability of some top WRs next offseason as the more attractive option to replace Diggs?  I guess whether we draft a WR or defense in the first round will be a potential indication of the strategy.

  10. He is trolling us and I am tired of it.  Just because we care about the Bills should not be used against us in such a childish and selfish way.  I should know better and just ignore it, but whether or not he stays with the Bills will have a significant impact on what the Bills do in the draft and on the team in general.

  11. CBSsports.com has a story about Diggs' tweets seeming to be about him wanting out of Buffalo, but it is based solely on trying to interpret his tweets.  I think the Bills ownership and management definitely would move on without all of the cap considerations.  They must be getting tired of this.  I know that we are.
