I have to say that Josh’s accuracy today was his best. Not just from a statistical sense either.

His one throw on the first TD drive to

Gabe Davis on a cross, 1 inch over a LB’s hand and in between two defenders, Was probably the best and most accurate throw I have ever seen him Make.

Better than that deep out to Brown at the pylon against the Raiders?

kudos to the refs.. outside the first call and everyone going ballistic..i thought they called a good game.   amazingly

But do they not call holding on a team down 2 TDs operating from no-huddle? Good Lord! Bills couldn’t get a sniff at Mullens with all the holding going on during those last 2 drives.

I just don't see them getting past either the Titans or Chiefs as they both do things on offense the Bills have no answer for and won't have an answer for until next year.   But hey, lets play the games,   turnovers , injuries, etc. can change rosters and turn games that on paper should not go your way.  go bills

I agree that the Chiefs would be a really tough playoff game for the Bills.
However... I think a healthy Bills team in the playoffs would pistol-whip the Titans. That game left a bad taste in every way possible.
the only thing the Titans did to beat us that game was beat our contain. The Bills have shored up their contain problems in recent weeks and they are playing much more disciplined on D now.

If we are as healthy as possible, and peaking at the right time on both sides of the ball, then we have a LEGITIMATE shot this year. The defense has started to come around. John Brown should be back just in time for the Playoffs. If Milano and Dodson can be healthy for the remainder of the season, if the running game can continue it's current trajectory, and if the OL can remain healthy while building continuity? There is no reason to believe we cannot hang with anyone in this league.

All of this is true and would be damn-near miraculous if it happened.
not to mention somehow avoiding more covid cases.

I'm very curious about a non-challenge though.  Mike William caught a 4th down pass on the sideline and appeared to come down on the ball.  I didn't see if the ball moved, as the camera replay was blocked by players, but I was really surprised that didn't get more attention.  Anyone else have thoughts on that?

This was the worst of a series of bad officiating issues in this game. McD couldn’t challenge because it was under 2mins. The booth ABSOLUTELY should have buzzed down. It was NOT a catch. Had the replay booth done it’s job there would have been no Hail Mary.
    uterly ridiculous

  6. Not one other player. Not 2 other players. Not 10 other players. Listen... it is the hardest thing in sports to land a true, hall-of-fame-caliber franchise QB. Even harder to land one who loves his team, teammates, and community the way JA loves this team. Every player and coach in the organization would storm the gates of hell with this kid. There aren’t enough talented players or picks to trade that could replace what JA brings to this organization.
who knows.... maybe in a year or two I am singing a different tune because he got lazy or cocky or regressed terribly but I just don’t see any of those things happening.

I struggle to see 3 losses the rest of the year, maybe to the Dolphins week 17 to rest the starters. Only games that concern me are the Cardinals and the Niners, I know they have a ton of injuries but a Monday night game on the west coast. I’m not that impressed with the Steelers and the game is at home.

I hope they don’t lose anymore at all. But you are making my point for me. The Cards are probably considered by most as an equal to Buffalo. Young, improving team, with a stud QB and average D.
Niners are not good but they scare you. Steeler are the only undefeated team in NFL and they don’t impress you. Again... it’s the NFL. Any give. Sunday.

This just in:  the Bills are really good.  Maybe now people will start relaxing a bit and just enjoy the ride.  (Yeah, probably not)

No chance. Haha. Lose next week to the Cards and we might as well tank-for-Trevor!
    haha.
    some “fans” are never satisfied.

The Bills ARE really good. They are better than 25 or so teams in the NFL. Trouble is... many fans expect them to look like a madden team every week. No mistakes. No turnovers. No coaching errors. 300yds passing minimum. 100yd rusher. No missed FGs. Etc, etc, etc.

However, reality says... this is the NFL.

Panthers were a FG make away from beating the super bowl champs.
Cowgirls leading undefeated Steelers late in the 3rd.

Bengals spank the Titans and Vikes beat the Pack at Lambeau last week.
the Bills are really good. They are still going to lose another 3 or so games this year.
Even so... the Bills are really good.

    WEEK ONE: B+

    WEEK TWO: A+

    WEEK THREE: B+

    WEEK FOUR: A-

    WEEK FIVE: B-

    WEEK SIX: D

    WEEK SEVEN: D+

    30/43 - 70% completion - 307 yards - 0 TD - 0 INT - 61 yards rushing - 1 fumble

This is just a spoiled, unrealistic grade.
funny you post the stats immediately after the grade.
if JA or any other QB had posted those numbers any of the previous 5 years in Bill win, this forum would have exploded with appreciation.

was he perfect? No... but D+???
    ridiculous!!

solid B performance. Took what the Jets gave him. Led his team to a much needed win.

  10. Crazy things happen in the NFL every week. No doubt the Bills “should” win this game but... the Titans are well coached, very disciplined and they know who they are as a team. This is the type of game the great teams from the 90’s would lose because a lot of those players would lose focus with this kind of schedule delay. Some players back then would stay out and party and just assume their superior talent would get them through. It always seemed like there was a game or two each season where they would just get whacked (Chiefs, Bears, & Dolphins games come to mind) when no one really saw it coming.
Again, to me that was a lack of team discipline.
so far my impression of the 2020 Buffalo Bills is one that says the players are united as a reflection of their Coach and they want to win together and for each other. They seem to genuinely love one another and no one wants to let the TEAM down.
We will see tonight how strong that bond is.

if they come out with missed assignments, stupid penalties, bad turnovers, and frustrated body language we’ll know they haven’t fully matured yet as team. However, as a previous contributor to this thread has already said... 4-1 is still a great record. If that translates to a 12-4 season... not one of us is gonna be disappointed with that.
of course, both teams could play really well tonight and the Titans come out with the dub because they played a little better. Who knows...
it simply comes down to this...
After all the distractions... can they make this a successful business trip and close the deal?
