I didn't focus on him the same way... but I wasn't super impressed what I did see.

I think he's not an every down DT but certainly great to bring in on short yardage, and goal line situations.  Great low base, and can collapse the pocket (or at least hold his ground).  Big dude.

    My current top 10 available..

    1. Andrew Vorhees*, IOL, USC

    2. Christopher Smith, S, Georgia

    3. Jaelyn Duncan, OT, Maryland

    4. Emil Ekiyor, IOL, Alabama

    5. Eli Ricks, CB, Alabama

    6. Xavier Hutchinson, WR, Iowa State

    7. Brandon Joseph, S, Notre Dame

    8. Kayshon Boutte*, WR, LSU

    9. Luke Wypler, IOL, Ohio State

    10. Zach Evans, RB, Ole Miss

I think Beano's ipad is stuck on the Florida film.... so high likelihood.

Solid list Gunner.  I like it.

Considering the contract status of many DT's on the roster, I'm thinking that a DT has to be in the mix for one pick IF there is a BPA in that window to consider.

    1. Antonio Johnson  - The Dawand Jones of safeties, apparently
    2. Luke Wypler
    3. A.T. Perry

    5. TRE'VIUS HODGES-TOMLINSON
    6. JL Skinner
    7. Olu Oluwatimi
    8. Karl Brooks
    9. Moro Ojomo
    10. Henry To Too

Maybe. I'm a "I'll believe it when I see it" when it comes to them actually utilizing him in an effective way. Seems like they draft these hybrid type guys and then don't use them like that. All last year we heard how badly they needed a pass catching RB and then they get Cook and Hynes and don't throw to either!

I think that's because our O-line sucked so bad they were held back to block?  Just guessing.

I wouldn't put Kincaid over Knox. It sounds like Knox is the every down TE and Kincaid takes Morris' spot.

Also Bernard starting at MLB I don't see happening. I'd say Dodson is the starter at this moment, which is a scary thought.

Harris over Cook as the every down back.

I think Quessenberry will be starting at RT at some point this year if not now.

I see glaring needs at WR and MLB. I hope they are not done adding people.

    Kincaid over Shakir.  ;)

71 players with 2 more picks.  So will have 73 players.  Look for a UDFA class of 15-16 players (they like keeping 2 roster spots open post draft).

Thin Position based on Historical 90 day roster build.

WR - Probably have 5 to 6 coming.  They have brought 13-15 to camp  We have 8 right now.

DBs - Probably need 3 to get to the historical avg.

OL - 2 more to get to historical

RB - will get likely 2 more

I the Draft look for the Bigger Type RB that they still want on this roster.  I think if the 5th comes and Roschon Johnson is still there he will be the pick.

So listening to Beane all offseason.   I think a DT, CB, WR and a Bigger RB will be the position groups for the next two picks if the value fits

There will be a good push for UDFA.

  7. Hello all,

This thread is to discuss the state of the roster overall.  After 3 rounds, and after the 5th and 6th.

Take a look at the additions and subtractions.  I think that we have two new starting OG's with Torrence at RG.  That's a significant upgrade there already.  Saffold was THAT bad.  I think that the loss/gain on WR is also a plus, and I'd add Kincaid to that "slot" mix as well as TE mix.  We retained some good pass rush depth, and Oliver is still a big part of that DL.  I think we are even on RB, with more upside at the position.  Linebacker is bolstered depth wise but questions remain at MLB.  Safety depth took a big step forward with Rapp.  Corner looks solid with Elam gaining experience and White healing up.

Overall, this is an improved team I think.  Still time to add depth.

    Free Agency:

    MLB Tremaine Edmunds

OG Connor McGovern, OG David Edwards

SS Jordan Poyer, FS Taylor Rapp, S Jaquon Johnson

WR Donte Harty, WR Trent Sherfield, WR Jamison Crowder, Isaiah McKenzie

QB Case Keenum, QB Kyle Allen

DE Jordan Phillips, DE Shaq Lawson

RB Devin Singletary, RB Damien Harris

    OT David Queensberry

*Also "lost", Saffold, Jones, Van Roten, Kumerow, Marlowe, Hart, Murray, Sweeney.  For the most part, are addition by subtraction.

Depth Chart (after round 3):  Due to upload limitations I have to upload the offensive depth chart in a second post.

  8. He’s going to be Matt Milano’s backup.  And he’s a great player.   The bills went offense for the first two rounds so any shot of landing a starter at mlb evaporated right there.

now we’re just adding depth.  Good pick.

this is the Bills.  Very tough to find a third round rookie at any position who could start on this team.
