Allen unnecessarily went into hero ball mode.
More than anything else, I think that is why we lost.
Throwing to a wide open receiver from the pocket is absolutely not hero ball lol id argue the odds of a win attempting that pass were significantly higher than if he takes the check down to diggs there…chiefs weren’t giving an inch
dawkins had to hold up like 0.1 seconds longer

A lot of fans here seem to think the Bills can somehow win the Super Bowl in October, or maybe November one of these years.
We've seen McDermott's ceiling and it came a couple of years ago.
How long he sticks around until he is replaced is purely up to Pegula, which really drives me nuts.
He is an IDIOT....so until Pegula announces McD is gone, it's gonna be same old same old around here.
Being the 1 seed is a massive boost I’m tired of people pretending it’s not…playoff success and regular season success are absolutely linked

We just going to ignore the last set of downs? Game is there for the taking and our guy came up small. Wide open guys underneath to keep milking the clock and moving the chains, but he can’t help himself from going for the kill shot.
Blame McDermott, blame Bass, blame Beane or whoever. Josh gets the excuses, Pat needs none.
‘Can’t help himself’ throwing to a wide open guy in the end zone haha how dare he. Guarantee you we get held to a fg taking that underneath throw and we’re all here lamenting passing up a wiiiide open td.
This whole nitpicking with hindsight routine is comical

I’d love Ben Johnson but clearly it’s not happening… we are stuck with Sean McSchottenheimer.
This still makes me giggle…firing schottenheimer for norv turner was probably one the biggest mistakes made by an nfl franchise in history and its being used as a ‘we should fire our head coach’ argument for some reason lol

I think we would have won it with one starting linebacker
Give us Milano and any injured player the chiefs want to keep it fair and that’s a win

We should but we won't. The fake punt was the worst call I've ever seen. Outcoached yet again by Andy Reid. They were ready for it and stuffed it. Putting Wrap on Kelce late in the game silenced Kelce, but it was too little too late. We're going nowhere with McDummy, and we've wasted yet another year of Joshua Patrick Allen.
Not to say McDermott was good either but I thought Reid was kind of bad honestly lol he mismanaged timeout usage horribly which essentially gifted us 7 points before halftime
mvs and crew made big contested catches, we didn’t make big uncontested catches

McDermott is Schottenheimer 2.0. Not spending a cent on going to the stadium next year if he's not gone. Belichick has us a ring by now. Pegula needs to make the call.
How did firing schottenheimer go in SD lol

Ultimately it comes down to coaching. Even at the end. McD knows that Bass is struggling and so does Brady. Why did we even kick there?? ? Even if Bass gets the FG we probably lose this game because the Chiefs get into winning FG range easily when they get the ball back. Once we didnt get the touchdown we lost.
McD just isnt up to the job when it comes to this high stress crucial decisions.
This is getting thumbs ups? Lol 4th and 9 you’ve gotta take the fg it is absolutely insanity to do otherwise
probably lose if we get the fg yea maybe…but the odds of converting that 4th and 9 were extraordinarily low
edit: y’all are crazy 😂. Getting stopped on that 4th and 9 was probably like a 75% chance and then you look like the biggest clown in the universe

The thought of this makes me nauseous. We really are the San Diego Chargers during Philip Rivers prime at this point.
I never wanted to believe the stories about the Bills never winning anything while their stadium was built on top of an old Native American Burial Ground, but I honestly think this team is just f**king cursed. There is no way to explain how many times these random things constantly go the other teams way in these type of games.
Man if y’all think we’re the chargers, firing their coach very much did not work for them 😂
they actually chanted schottenheimers name the season after he was fired haha

The best coaches, like good chess players, think several moves ahead.
Bills have routinely been late to adjust under McD, especially in the big games.
I didn’t really see that here…their c tier wrs made multiple huge plays, ours (and diggs) did not.

Allen got greedy at the exact wrong time but the play was there to be made - Jones just got the best of his man and affected the throw.Special teams under McD have been a complete clown show. Keeping Martin this week was ludicrous and I suspect it was done in large part to try not to disrupt Bass’s fragile psyche by switching out his holder. Bass needs to go take Ayahuasca with Rodgers this offseason, his brain is scrambled up and he’s useless. Which I just have no sympathy for given what I’ve been through as a fan of this team.
Speaking of which - Diggs had zero interest in this game. Bookended his garbage performance by fumbling on the very first play and then casually dropping a perfectly-thrown bomb on the penultimate drive. Not sure what happened to him mentally but he seemed to have completely checked out and I suspect we will soon be subjected to his passive-aggressive tweets and such as he starts angling for his next adventure.
Finally - this game was proof positive that investing more heavily on defense is a fool’s errand. Beane gave his star QB zero playmakers this offseason. Wasting the career of JA17 is a war crime and Beane should be on a short leash heading into 2024.
Brutal way to end the season but they gave themselves no margin for error, all year and again today. They had to be perfect for too many games in a row and today they came up short.
Wide open post route ain’t exactly greed… y’all are talkin like he rifled it into tight coverage haha if he checked it down to diggs and we got held out of the end zone still(probable), we’d all be complaining he didn’t attempt that wide open td throw

Shakir was wide open. You take the throw when it's there. He got hit by Jones or it was going to be a TD.
Idk why we’re pretending this wasn’t the case lol. Every yard in that 4th quarter the bills had to absolutely fight for…wide open td you pull the trigger on

Josh should have seen the open receiver rather than going for the score. Fake punt was foolish. Defense gave up too much to Mr Swift. This is where folks like Milano would have made a difference.
That td throw looked even higher percentage than the underneath throw tbh lol it’s not like he forced that one…shakir was wide open

McDermott. It's his defense. They've gotten a lucky fumble at the half yard line and one stop on Mahomes
Id count that last drive as two stops tbh

These chiefs are holding like crazy.
They haven’t really been callin holds either way but that one was insane and had to be called lol if mahomes completed that third down play I was turning the tv off cuz that would’ve been absolute garbage

There’s no question the chiefs lobbied for that call and got it…that’s even worse than how soft that call was

this game will be won by the QBs.
You’re not completely wrong lol I think the refs anything goes approach to this one has really come at the expensive of the dlines

D line is an absolute ghost show tonight
They’ve pretty much taken dlines out of the game by letting both teams hold their a**es off lol
Allen was legendary (even better than 13 seconds Allen)

The broadcast angle didn’t show this play accurately…it was a heck of an attempt given the circumstances. Dawkins holds up for a split second longer and there’s a good chance we win
