  1. yes he needs to be released while unconscious
  2. From what I've seen, Bradley Chubb(y) and M(F)att, hew Judon can both go sit at the bar , have a few beers and tell war stories for all I care.
  3. He was ok I guess. I don't put as much emphasis on season end tournament wins as the league and the media do. He had a couple tournament runs, big deal. The rest of his career was maybe just a little ho hum for me.
  4. agreed. eg. Marino absolutely hated on Deone Walker over and over and was so wrong. I enjoyed the pod years ago before it became loaded with commercials. Also, Marino doesn't add much for well versed fans and is moving into non-football stuff way too much.
  5. Pats were imposters this season. Having said that, they still have a QB on a rookie contract, so they can continue to load up in FA and will be a problem for the next couple years b4 they need to extend Maye and take the cap hit.
  6. As Deon said, he "needs to grow up"; my beef is: How do they miss these obvious character red flags in the e v a l process??? of course, it looks like Deon grew up (blew up) quite a bit last season himself
  7. Bills can absolutely win the division as they will be slightly better than the Pats vs the common out-of-division opponents IMO, plus the Jets/Phins are rebuilding. Beyond that, like any year, who knows? I assume the new defensive schemes will be coached up by the time the tournament comes around, but it's a single elimination tourney where the freakin' #1 seed only wins the SB half the time historically. Bills need to get that #1 seed, but not sure how they get there as, IMHO, there will be a few losses early on as the new schemes take shape on the field. So I see a repeat of this year. Get to the tournament , and then stumble at some point along the way in the tournament because the team won't be strong enough to just steamroll the opposition and will have some kind of misfortune in a tight game and go home. Rinse and repeat. But within the next 3-4 years, the moon and stars will align and we'll get one. Allen is this generations' John Elway. He was 37 when he was on his first tournament title team. Think on that.
  8. LIke Bruschi, McCourty and all the ex SB Pats still hanging around the league and the networks, they are so full of themselves that I find them completely fake and insufferable.
  9. the 4 AFC title trophies should for sure be in the building somewhere. Winning 3-4 AFC tournament games in a row vs top teams ( 4 years in a row, to boot) is a major achievement that nowadays is ignored by the media given all the hype around the "all or nothing", f ing SB
  10. I am in this camp now. An approach somewhere in between the 2020 Saints and 2020 Rams. Create cap space and go get game changing guys. Now. Pickens is not one of them however if it is franchise and trade. 30m cap hit for Pickens in 2026 alone would be too much cap space to create for one player. Could be done, but nothing else would get done. Plus you lose a top draft pick, maybe even #1. That is not good as draft capital will need to be preserved if you are shooting the moon with FAs. FAs are the way to go. No draft capital involved, allowing you to restock via the draft as you go for it with FA acquistions. The Saints and Rams way... worked for the Rams for one SB , failed for the Saints and its taken them over 5years of suck to recover.
  11. Sounds good. I believe they can win the Division simply bc the Pats will handle common opponents slightly worse than the re-start Bills. I think that is a fair too early prediction. #1 seed seems out of the question unless Jackson/Nix/Maye are middling and Mahomes misses time. #1 seed is key to getting through the tournament. Can't help predicting we will be right back here a year from now complaining about the re-start defense and Beane being too conservative in FA. Hope I am wrong.
  12. With half the Oline leaving in FA / Traded / on the serious decline, plus a 100% changout in the defensive scheme, Beane will now need to shoot the moon in FA/Trade Market (WR, Edge, DL, LB etc) and draft incredibly well for this team to get the talent needed to get back in 2026 to where it got this past season. This is what happens when you knee-jerk blow it up and start over. I've been making this point for years now. I've moved on from McD, but it comes with a large cost and a necessary regression, IMHO. The defense won't be more productive in 2026 , IMHO, due to all the changes and learning curves for the new guys. This rework/decline will more than likely all work out in a couple years, since the dead cap hits from cutting/trading the many mismatched player fits will be huge; then (IMHO) will the Bills be back in the top 5. the cap is the cap, and reworking the roster to fit new schemes will drive big dead cap hits and prevent big signings in FA. You'll see,... I can see the Beane press conferences now.. "need to manage the cap, blah blah.. ". Beane is conservative, he is not Micky Loomis, he won't shoot the moon in FA, as much as he should. The Von Miller / Stef Diggs dead cap hit debacles made a lasting impression on him , I feel. I fear Josh will be Elway and win a SB well into his 30's (it took Elway until age 37) .
  13. completely agree. With all but one of the LBs (Bernard, due only to his contract) and all but 4 of the DL (Rousseau, Oliver, Walker and Sanders) probably gone or not a fit for Leonard's defense, it will take some real FA/Draft luck/magic to create anything resembling a "dominant "defense for 2026, given the cap situation. With all the misfits and washed guys on D, I see the defense being exciting to watch, lots of TFLs (simply bc of the agressive scheme), but getting gashed like crazy this season with a bunch of guys playing a scheme for the first time that is the complete opposite of what they have been playing for years. We shall see what Beane and Leonard come up with with what little cap he has to work with. This is what happens when you fire the HC, blow up the coaching staff and start over with entirely new schemes. Takes time to get the player types needed. Not feeling great about 2026 at all. Hope I am proven very wrong.
  14. I honestly don't think we will ever know the details of what really happened.
  15. regrettably I think SC is right on target here
