I added Singletary as a bench player after LeSean was released...figure it might pay off here and there if he starts to get more touches as the season goes on.

What will the Bills' record be this season?
Johnnycage46 replied to from_dunkirk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I could see anywhere from 9 to 11 (settled on 10) assuming the D is as advertised, injuries are not significant, and the O is even average. -
The Human Side Of Cut Day

I get you. And I am not a cold hearted SOB. Just sometimes when bills (no pun intended) mount it's sometimes hard to care about people who chose sports over knowledge. -
Would it be better or keewwler if they 0-4? Just enjoy that the Bills appear to have a deeper team than usual in recent years.

I get it but at the end of the day there are bigger problems than a guy not making an NFL team. I totally respect your take however -
The Human Side Of Cut Day

Nobody said they shouldn't study in college and get an education WHILE playing football. Maybe then if they get cut from a team on cut day they have some marketable skills for the real world. Just a thought. Most of life is a choice. I totally understand that these guys sacrifice a lot but at the end of the day they are playing a kid's game and may have to live like the rest of us scrubs. -
Jadeveon Clowney could miss regular-season games

I would not be one of those Bills fans. -
is Brown REALLY much better then Jones?

I totally agree with your point, but just for clarity, his nickname of "Smoke" was given to him at birth by his Grampa. Although he IS fast lol Sorry, you beat me to it...didn't see this until now. -
I get that he wants help but the dude has made over 11 million playing football, which I would hope would assist him with getting quality medical care...he should, like probably go get help first...then worry about the NFL compensation. I understand this is a serious issue but he should probably go to a doctor THEN take to social media.

Do you guys like the new sky cam?
Johnnycage46 replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have 20/20...its more that it takes you out of the game. Like watching all 22...see more but feel less immersion. -

I hate it as well. Too far away. It seems like change for the sake of change, which in itself is truly stupid. -
Gameday Thread Bills at Detroit 2nd Half

Power trip or a nervous breakdown perhaps by a certain on duty person on the boards. -
Nah. It's not that. Schopp has admitted he loves baseball and hockey more than football and in fact is more lenient on the Sabres who have been just as if not more dismal than the Bills in recent years. I think everything with Schopp's hate for the Bills has a personal angle. The benching and ultimate trade of Tyrod, Josh Allen's high school tweets, etc.

Even when people agree with him he still sometimes bashes them. Almost like he literally cannot ever be happy. As do I. It has been kicked around here before where his bias comes from and I think most people agree.

My wife and I have a ~4 year old and a 2 month old and this AM was one for the ages...in the midst of the turmoil I literally yelled to my wife "imagine if we had had twins and had to deal with either 2 babies at once or 2 4-year olds at once!". This news puts things into perspective for me lol Not that he will have time for THAT ever again.

This is a perfect write-up to express what I have been thinking. Thank you for your eloquent articulation.

They Might...Just Might, Be Really Good
Johnnycage46 replied to theRalph's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So, if a QB is missing wide-open receivers by a good deal, regardless of "scheme" that wouldn't worry you? If a defense, regardless of "scheme", was getting gashed for 10+ yard runs routinely, that wouldn't worry you? If the team just appeared slow, out of sync, and out of position, that would't bother you? We all know that pre-season "doesn't mean anything"...but there ARE elements of pre-season that mean quite a bit...so much so that players get cut base on pre-season play. Yes, a team's pre-season win-loss record doesn't seem to have a correlation to win-loss record in the regular season, but this Bills team does seem to be deeper and more talented than recent years. Maybe just enjoy it? -

Not saying they will be amazing...but again all those folks saying "it's just the preseason"...I am wondering if the tune would change if Allen was wildly inaccurate, the D was porous, and the coaching staff seemed lost? My guess is the whole mantra of "it's just the preseason" would evaporate and would be replaced with doom and gloom. -
Lol. Yeaaahhhhhh

hoping we go 4 and 0 in the preseason
Johnnycage46 replied to Howard's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I will say this...winning pre-season games may not matter...but, seeing depth across your roster that results in wins can possibly be an indicator that the team is strong. Again, not because of the wins, but because depth does matter. -
Defense was lights out against Colts
Johnnycage46 replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's funny that many say "pre-season doesn't matter" when anyone want to praise the team they root for (oh, the horror!)...but I am willing to bet if the team was completely incompetent in the pre-season that performance would suddenly be "admissible in court". I guess pre-season only "matters" if it is negative against the team we all root for. There are about 5 prominent posters on this board that seem to actually hate the Bills but act as though they are just "speaking the truth". Pretty disappointing.
