  1. When the Chefs got the ball just before the half with 30 seconds to go, Miller made the play on that screen that normally goes for 30 yards or more.  Rare offensive holding call negated the play and they kneeled out the half, but I don't think they do that if Miller doesn't make that tackle / flag thrown.

When he got hurt and talked about helping with coaching, I got excited... but I've not seen much in the way of improvement with the group.  We desperately need a terror coming off the edge, hoping Miller can be that again next year.  To my eye, he got better week by week and I agree... his best two games were the playoffs.

They took the tree down and I was forced to move the ornament.

Whew!  I'm glad to know it was your ornament.  For a while, I thought it was mine!  Similar story as yours, and was hesitant to take down the tree as I didn't want to jinx anything.  I removed the ornament around the third quarter of the Wild Card playoff game - during which Pittsburgh pulled within a touchdown - and I promptly replaced the ornament and got us through.

But the tree came down before the Chefs game and I was blaming myself.  Thanks for setting the record straight!  :D

  3. They were able to take advantage of our M.A.S.H. unit defense.  The boys may not have gotten it done this year but 27 other teams went home first.  I'm proud of them for going on a memorable tear... like the rest of you, sick of losing to the Chefs.

Kansas City has come out on top the first three times in the playoffs, but that is going to change.  Allen is just too good, and along with Kincaid, Cook, and Shakir, we've got a great young core.  Waiting to see what Beane comes up with this offseason to fix our defense and kicking game.  Need to hit a homerun at wideout as well.

Ok I'm pissed so I'm going to ask if there's anyone who really thinks we can pull this off. I need some optimism

We've moved the ball at will, just not finishing drives.  Get the ball back, score, and it's 0-0 again.

In Josh I trust.  :D  He's going to hit Diggs for another big play at some point.

Maybe cuz we've already lost at least 2 of those 5 teams?

I get where you're coming from but c'mon... those Jets and Jags games were hardly convincing wins, at least to me.

The Jets have a great defense but I expect a different outcome in the rematch.  If you think the Jags are better after that London crap, where the opponent got a home game (despite the pumped in noise) and we lost a couple of star players early, we'll just have to agree to disagree.  They're good and playing solid ball right now, but what will anyone say if they lose four of their next six?  Could happen.

I like our team.  They aren't World beaters right now, but I'm so happy to have a QB that gives us a chance to win every week.  On top of that, we've got Diggs, Kincaid (please use him more), and Cook.  The team is going through a tough stretch right now, on that we agree.  I just think this league is so week to week, we shouldn't be on the ledge just yet.

Does the rest of season really matter at this point? Bills are no better than the 10th best team in the AFC. Am I wrong? How do the Bills crack the top 5 and make the playoffs?

We've got ten games to go.  Lots can... and will... happen.  I don't see how we're thinking our team is worse than the Jags, Jets, Chargers, Steelers, and Browns.  Even the Bengals have been ordinary this year.  I don't see Baltimore and Miami has unbeatable, however good they are.  Kansas City is the team to beat, but there's still a lot of room to make the playoffs.  I just hope we're playing our best ball of the year in the second half.  Our offense will have to carry the load, and I understand we haven't had much to get too excited about lately.  I believe it will get better.

  7. I know we feel like we should beat the Patriots twice a year, every year, but other than Kansas City, no one sweeps their divisions these days.  Brady is gone but Belichick has been a thorn in our side for even longer... he's not the worst coach in the league, even though their team was smoked two weeks straight.  He knows our team and coaching staff pretty well.

Tough loss, we're 4-3, hardly out of it, even though we have things to work on.  If the Bills reel off 4-5 straight wins, against stiffer competition, we'll all be singing a different tune.  Don't tell me it can't happen.  I've been watching football for a long time, it happens regularly.

    See you guys Thursday night!

  8. Thought we were going to steal this one at the end but it didn't work out.

Oh well... maybe this year we get in as a wildcard, play hungry, and do some damage.  I'm not writing the season off yet and the division is hardly out of reach.  I sorta expected this today.  Felt like the game could go either way.

I think our defense starts to gel... maybe not elite, but able to play a solid football game.  Offense leans to use Kincaid and Cook underneath and abandons shotgun runs.  Lots of season left.
