  1. Lamarcus Joyner for the Raiders is injured every 5 plays.
  2. Who covers Travis Kelce for us with Milano out? Such a huge loss without him up.
  3. Exactly. This. Let the Titans figure it out. Screw trying to keep accommodating them.
  4. Yep, that’s right. In my opinion, I think the yo-yo, uncertain nature of all this weighs on the players more than you think. Everything about this to this point, has been more normal for the Chiefs than the Bills. BAU. How many times do we hear coaches and players are creatures of habit? From a rest standpoint, this would seem to benefit the Bills. I don’t argue that, but I do wonder what sort of mental impacts this has had.
  5. Right, but that would’ve been a “normal week”. Just like the Chiefs. Chiefs play today and move on to Bills. Bills still don’t know if they are playing the Titans or not. And probably won’t right up to Tuesday. Unless the NFL ends this charade.
  6. I’m not so sure. I think it’s more normal for the Chiefs to this point. They’ve planned for and are playing their game now just like they always would’ve. Bills still don’t know whether they are playing THIS week. And even if they keep it on schedule, it could still be cancelled with more positive tests at any point over the next few days.
  7. Do we really want this? What sort of prep do you think the Bills have done for the Chiefs at this point? No doubt, some. But this Titans fiasco has likely been a giant distraction.
  8. If I’m a Bills player, I’m considering sitting out this game if they go forward. Wouldn’t want to be anywhere near Titans or their facility. To Cody Ford’s point, I’d rather be healthy than rich. NFL is being really short sighted by trying to jam this game in. Play the long game here.
  9. And the Bills continue being punished for this by being strung along, while the team that willfully broke the rules hasn’t been punished. But I guess I should 🤫 in case Kevin Byard reads this and decides to toss another log on his motivation fire.
  10. Coaches, players, family, peers, media, and (some) fans care. Why wouldn’t you want to be recognized as being the best (or one of the best) at your position? Of course super bowl is the goal and the only thing that truly matters. Ask any player that has won the MVP and they’d gladly turn it over for a Lombardi. We get that, but it doesn’t mean the MVP award is of little value. It would be the ultimate bird flip to anyone that ever doubted Josh. We should all hope to see that.
  11. That’s true. Not only does Josh have to maintain, these other guys are going to have to fall off a little. Russ is playing out of his mind. Rodgers right there too. Will be interesting to see how it plays out.
  12. Of course. I’d rather have those things too. But I’m enjoying the ride. When’s the last time we’ve had a player (let alone a QB) worthy of MVP consideration? Fred Jackson’s hot start in the mid-2000s before he was injured and lost for the year? Been too long.
  13. Josh still getting no love for MVP on NFL total access. Russ and Rodgers I get. It’s arguable. But no one else should be higher than Allen through 4 games. Not even Mahomes. Tie between Russ, Rodgers, and Allen. We’ll see if our boy can hang with those heavyweights all year long.
  14. Like most of you, I hate this. Sure, it’s a win. But, taking a game away from Josh hurts him statistically, which may work to his detriment RE: MVP candidacy.
  15. Not being combative here, but I’m not sure I’m understanding your angle. Nor you mine. I’m not suggesting anyone lied about anything. I agree, the test results should rule. But, how did the league testing fail in this scenario? The players tested positive using the available testing methods and the league/team reacted. There’s no telling what those individuals did to become exposed and infected. Where I think you can blame the league (and maybe you are considering this part of the testing protocols which is fair) is on whether they should’ve played the game on Monday or if it should’ve been postponed. Knowing how this virus works (i.e., the incubation period and when an infected person will actually show positive), with Cam testing positive when he did, the prudent thing to do would’ve been postpone it like they did Steelers and Titans. Honestly, I have no clue why they didn’t do it for one game and did for the other. Particularly, when one team was down its starting QB resulting in a weaker matchup. If this results in a widespread outbreak, the testing/science didn’t fail. The league failed in its response.
  16. I don’t think that’s necessarily true. You’re talking about a lot of people per team. Each team should really be viewed as its own bubble Monday through Saturday. You will have some teams on one end of the spectrum that are taking it super seriously and doing everything by the book. You can have another team on the other end of the spectrum that is still taking it seriously, but maybe a few guys slip up. When the two teams meet, would you want them interacting any more than they have to? I sure wouldn’t. After all, it only takes one person to be selfish on a team for it to go sideways. Doesn’t mean the league’s testing isn’t working. Just means one team was better at managing it than another. Personally, I think this is where team leadership, character, and accountability (player, coach, and staff) are extremely important.
  17. Of course, but some level of that has to be accepted for the game to be played. Systematic vs. unsystematic risk. Some of it is systematic and unavoidable as you suggest, but there’s a lot of unsystematic fluff out there (e.g., post game handshakes, coaches taking their masks down) that is completely avoidable and should be eliminated to give yourself the best shot at mitigating the risk.
  18. I’ll be pretty bummed and upset if we don’t get to measure our team against Mahomes and the Chiefs. Win or lose, I’ve been looking forward to that matchup most.
  19. Never understood why this wasn’t mandatory as part of the protocol. The name of the COVID game has been testing, mask wearing, and social distancing. Collectively, they’ve only been good at and consistent with 1 out of 3.
  20. I wish they’d bring in another backer with more speed/athleticism. AJ Klein is fine on special teams, but relying on him for defensive snaps is scary. I’d love them to kick the tires on Bradham. Shoot, while he’s certainly underwhelmed as a pro, even Darron Lee is out there and he has wheels.
  21. Cheats don’t make those mistakes. The Patriot way won’t allow it.
