Good spot for him. Sunny SoCal, familiar faces, talented roster, and Josh-lite QB. Good for Dabes.

they mauled him (McD) pretty good 😆Haha. I loved that too. I also got chills at the end of Josh’s speech breaking them down. I love this team because of how much this means to them and how much they want to win for one another.

Division is awesome. Believe me, I love it. But I’m looking for more out of this season.

Does fandom have to extend to what the owners' kids do? Who cares, honestly. She is a mediocre tennis player basically playing professional tennis as a hobby because her parents can support her financially. Anyone her age, with the inability to climb to any substantial position in the rankings, would have retired into a real job by now. In other words, who cares. I don't. And I don't care about the other garbage they do, shops they open, businesses they buy. The hero worship is astounding.

In the mean time we are waiting to hear from the same players who jumped on Brees for his statement, And where’s ANTIFA on this ?
Totally get it. I noticed you’d mentioned you are Jewish in a few of your previous posts, and while we’ve had our differences in previous threads, I’m sorry you’ve had to endure things like this in the past. Will it get the same coverage as BLM? If I’m being honest, probably not. Is that right? Like I said in my previous post - absolutely not. I’m not excusing the comments or the media’s behavior. It’s unacceptable and DJAX deserves all the criticism that is coming his way.

Truly reprehensible and indefensible. Deserving of similar outrage and criticism that Drew Brees and Jake Fromm received. No disputing that.
However, anyone looking to use this as an example to discredit BLM or legit racial inequalities for POC really need to get a grip. I know it’s hip to choose sides these days, but it’s not an either-or scenario. These comments, as well as those systemic and institutional injustices, are both wrong and unacceptable.

Why bother?its clear to anyone who doesn’t have an agenda and is informed on the matter that China is to blame and the entire Western Hemisphere was caught off guard. I don’t blame transplant, he’s just one of many who only parrot what they read from mainstream outlets. It’s the media and their incessant desire to undermine this administration and actively go out of their way to erode public trust.
unfortunately for them the media’s influence isn’t what it used to be.
I’m sorry, but for Christ sake, the guy laid it all out in a ridiculously long post with legit information from a reputably sourced article. But I guess that’s just fake news. Nothing but constant deflection around here. Reminds me of why I’ve never spent any time in the dark underbelly of TBD that is the PPP section. It’s clear this is just an extension of the Trump apologist zone. Don’t like the guy? Get out! Fine I’ll go, but first...
The China problem is known. I agree, they F’d up by not being forthcoming and suppressing information from the rest of the world. A huge amount of blame is at their feet. Can’t trust them, and that’s always been the case. But based on their track record, don’t you think the situation warranted a little skepticism or intrigue until proven otherwise? Instead of blowing it off, didn’t the administration at least owe us that? At what point do we hold our #1 elected official accountable for his actions? Never? Ok great. Maybe you, but not me.
Believe me, I’m not willing to exonerate states either. It’s mind boggling how some state leaders have reacted to this too, and they own some blame in how they’ve handled this. It’s certainly not 100% on Trump. But it’s incredible how devoted the Trump base is. The guy is seriously like Teflon. People just let the guy skate because he’s got our best interest at heart. Right. The guy doesn’t give a damn about you, me, or anyone in between. His inability to take accountability and accept blame is astounding. Just wait until Easter when this hoax is all over. Life will be back to normal and the guy will roll in a whole new cabinet of yes men and ego strokers. Wash. Rinse. Repeat. ?
People are still so hung up on and upset at Obama nearly four years after the guy walked out of the White House, that they’ll literally look past every questionable or poor decision Trump makes and tout it as great as long as Obama didn’t do it, it undoes something he previously did, or it’s the opposite of what he would’ve done. Trump supporters tell everyone else to move on and move forward, but why can’t they? Completely stuck on Obama. And this is coming from someone who didn’t vote for Obama either time. It’s just irrational and misguided hatred. Let it go.
I don’t even know why I bother because there’s no convincing anyone on here or otherwise to change their opinion. And that’s ok. I’m not asking you to. But can anyone at least acknowledge the President of this great nation shares some of the blame on how poorly this has gone so far? Is that really too much to ask? Feel like I’m living in the GD twilight zone.
Btw - I know I’m just giving you all what you want with this post. Another log for the fire. I don’t care if anyone responds to this post, ignores it, or emoji rolls their eyes at it. I’m out of here after this post and won’t be back to comment further in this forum. It’s pointless to be here and clear my type of thinking isn’t welcome in these parts. I only bother coming to TBD to talk Bills. If you need me, you can find me on the main forum and roll your eyes at any misguided Bills take I have up there. Peace and love. I’ll show myself out.

Could be they are more spread out there? Don't need public transit as much?
Yeah those factors make sense and certainly contribute. God bless folks that can commit to the NYC lifestyle, but that many people in a confined space and that reliant on public transport and other shared spaces seemed destined to struggle most with something like this. It’s early yet to say definitively, but hoping they are starting to get a handle on it to some degree with the news today that deaths have dipped slightly. Probably too early to say and this will be a critical week (like all the others).

The dialogue is both appreciated and healthy. It’s a really BIG country and in California we’re not experiencing anything like what we’re seeing in NYC. And, there are still other places where it’s less than here. Our news media is very east coast centric. This is not to make light of the NY metro area challenges....but it’s not the same across America, and the President and his team of advisors know it.
Likewise! Agreed. It’s funny you should mention California. I used to live out there for a few years and really enjoyed my time there. I was just mentioning to my wife how remarkable it is that California hasn’t been hit harder. Not to oversimplify and ignore the challenges it is having with it, but CA has several factors of a state you’d expect to be experiencing more problems with it than it is. It’s a mysterious an odd virus to be certain, but kudos to whatever you all have been doing out there to mitigate impact. Hope they can keep it up and everyone stays safe.

Thanks for a reasoned dialogue. A true breath of fresh air! We actually agree. The buck stops with Trump, but only at the federal level. (He is not the boss of the governors.) I’ve seen him take some VERY decisive actions. We all have. Unfortunately for NY City, the virus was already deep into the blood stream before Dr Fauci and the experts changed their opinion and advise. Just like it hitched a ride on Chinese airplanes, it then spread thorough out NYC via the subway system. (Again, before they knew it.) The deal was sealed way back then...over a month ago. What we’re witnessing now is nothing more than the inevitable deathly result of that original bad advise.
Again, another fair and reasoned take. There are some steps he’s taken that I agree with even if I wish he’d taken them sooner (e.g., shutting down travel with China and Italy and the Defense Production Act). States absolutely bear responsibility and have an obligation to act appropriately on behalf of its citizens, so no argument from me there either. As you said, in a lot of ways we were already starting at a significant disadvantage in light of China’s information suppression.
As unfortunate as crises are, that’s usually when you see America at its best - when we are all joined in a common goal and working together to accomplish it. I just want to see everyone put down their political party swords and work together. I think a lot of that could’ve started earlier and been better coordinated at the federal level. But again, that’s just my opinion.
Look, I definitely came out hot in this thread. Some of it coming from the frustration of “no end in sight”. Even in disagreement, I do respect other message board member opinions. I sure as hell don’t have all the answers, and I have no real beef with any of my fellow Bills brethren.

Process: While I know you’re upset, you’re actually wrong. Go back and listen to Fauci’s televised interviews just two days before this thing exploded. He’s the same ‘expert’ who was advising the President then and now. THE DR BLEW IT BIG TIME! Now with that said, there’s little anyone can do about people dying. We have no cure. Ventilators do not cure it. They only prolong the inevitable. Social distancing is nice, but really hard to enforce, and besides, the President has been stressing that since Day One. Again, I know you’re upset and you want someone to ‘make it all go away’ but it ain’t happening.
Fair take, and I appreciate your opinion and the discourse. Don’t take this the wrong way, but even if I’m wrong as you say (which clearly we have a different opinion about and that’s ok), doesn’t the buck stop with the top guy in charge? Anything that happens good, bad, or indifferent during his presidency is his to own.
Even if China wasn’t forthcoming earlier on (which they definitely weren’t, and is a huge part of this) or Fauci was giving bad advice initially as you say, we’re taught from a very early age that we can’t always control what happens, but we can control our reaction to it. Instead of blowing this off or thinking this was some political hoax, quicker acknowledgement and better reaction times may have saved lives. Regardless of if we have a cure. At the very least showing some empathy and taking some accountability for poor response time by his administration would’ve given him a little benefit of the doubt with reasonable people. Personally, I don’t think he’s capable of either. Again, just my opinion.

Chief ? LOL ... I thought it’s implied here, but I can compartmentalize; most people have this talent, believe it or not. When I’m out and about, I’m cautious and when commenting here in my home I can focus on the Bills...not having constant hate in my heart allows me to do so.
Pay attention ? Lol! I’m confident I’ve done my share to assist -more than most .... pay attention? Your funny.... let me tell you what’s funny... I’m in my first week of posting here and I’m already lecturing you for being an amateur - which you are. And trust me, Hawaii is doing great considering the crisis at hand, absolutely fantastic. Go ahead, I’m sure you’re going to respond with even more hate, grief and colorful adjectives .... go ahead “process” entertain us ..
Lol. Congrats on your first week here and feeling the need to come down off your pedestal to lecture me on message board posting etiquette and what’s right and wrong. Lest I remind you, you came at me first. Contrary to what you may think, I’ve got no hate in my heart. At least not for anyone on here. Even you.
My beef is with the people calling the shots in this country and anyone who believes they’ve exhibited anything other than complete incompetence in handling this situation. The facts are clear to anyone who is interested. It’s obvious. The guy is in way over his head on this and takes zero accountability for his actions. Unless someone wants to stroke his ego or pat him on the back. This isn't a politics or party thing for me. No...it’s much bigger than that.
Believe me, I love the Bills with every fiber of my being. More than you’ll ever know. With the moves they’ve made this offseason and Brady finally out of the division, I’d love nothing more than the season to start on time with New Era at capacity with 70,000+ diehards in attendance.
But...fellow Americans are dying. Some of which could’ve been prevented with earlier acknowledgement and better response. So forgive me if I don’t trust or give a sh*% about this guy’s opinion about whether the season will kick off on schedule. Guy doesn’t know jack and you can’t believe a thing he says. Listen to Fauci. Only one using his brain over there.
Don’t believe me? Well, then enjoy Easter dinner when this hoax is finally behind us.

Oh boy, here we go.
As I’ve already explained to some, I’m a long time reader here at TBD but only recently made a TBD account so I could hopefully provide some fun or entertaining feedback.
This is the kind of “amateurism” I was hoping to avoid. I think I need to go back to just being an occasional TBD reader again. As a recommended way ahead, suggest we let our elected officials sort it out, and we have fun discussing the Bills. I was hoping for better here....
Sorry to disappoint you chief, but in case you didn’t notice there are far bigger things going on in the world right now than sports or whether the NFL season will happen. Pay attention. People are dying. That’s real life (or death in this case). You want to talk amateur? Keep burying your head in the sand. I hear you’ve got plenty of it down in Hawaii.

Moron. Incompetent. Narcissist. Sociopath.
Got any others? Sign of a great leader is to constantly deflect and never admit when he’s wrong. Always someone else’s fault. He’s handled this entire situation so piss poorly. I’m supposed to believe this schmuck? Keep taking advice from Hannity and Limbaugh you loon.

Anyone interested in Jonnu Smith? EDITED He signed with the Patzies. they over paid

I get the money, but they have no QB and they are known as not being a very fun environment under that curmudgeon Belichick. Outside of cap space and the money here, I’m shocked this would be viewed as a FA destination for anyone.
