  1. Take a breath Bulls Fans, Allen is/was  a somewhat raw rookie when he was drafted. Watson and Mahones had considerably better coaching in their college careers. Our brain trust saw something in Allen and it seems they were right. He has made great strides in the past two years and i suspect he will continue this year and gain the polish that good QB's have.Rogers wan't the QB who dropped a ball on the shoulder of a receiver when first came to G.BAllen has the desire to br good and the athleticism to take him there.i remember that some of you were apoletic when MCBeabe drafted allen over Rosen. How did that work out? I believe we have our Bills QB now. as Aaron Rogers said ,RELAX

This is why i was surprised we went after Diggs considering this supposed to be the deepest WR draft ever. They must figured he was better than who they could have gotten at 22. Still hoping we get another WR in the draft , he's not the fastest but i really like the way Quintez Cephus plays.

The reason fort taking Diggs was that it was best for the team. Rookies rarely catch more than 50 balls during their ookie season.I 'm not saying Digg'd will , but he is capable of 50-100 catches plus the experience factor They also have for four years at 10M a year.WE are in a position to win  NOW . WE are not rebuilding this year , we are putting on the finishing touches,,,, I hope

  3. Sorry for not posting for awhile. i trust McBeane for their football acumen.I vividly remember the drafting of Allen. A lot of the Guru's on this board  berated McB for this decision. I will not noms them but you and i know who they are. Tyrod went ti two teams a was a success at backup QB.This year he drafted Singletary in the third round . I thought hey were nits but held my quarter. they weren't't nuts.

You have to keep in mind the specific circumstances of that play. Josh was running for his life. When he made the throw he was off-balance. He had to get it off as fast as possible. He had no time to set his feet. Essentially, it got there. All Clay had to do was take a couple steps towards the pass and catch it. Josh made a great play in my opinion. Shame

    AMEN !

Each decision is judged on its own merit. They have done some things well. They’ve failed miserably when it comes to adding receivers. They don’t get credit for the good and a free pass for the bad.

I disagree with your premise. They took over a failed operation in the Bills. Players that were overpaid , players who were not team players, and player that were not NFL caliber players. A horrendous Cap situation entailed. To expect the situation to be fixed in one year is ludicrous and in two years asinine. There has to be a plan whereby they fix what they can with the resources available.  I think that their plan is coming along and when the third year cap space  and draft they will be able to take care of the missing pieces. It is a total operation , certainly you can nitpick a situation without knowledge as to what went into the situation and point to a mistake  in your opinion but i don't think that you are being fair with your continual Watkins, Woods and Goodwin  diatribe.

I’m just not excusing them. As an example they could have pick Ju-Ju instead of Zay. That would have been a good decision. The free agent receivers that the paid in 2017 are Andre Holmes, Anquan Boldin, Philly Brown, Rod Streater, Jeremy Butler and Brandon Tate. They get the blame for that. Not one of those guys can play. They also trade for Mathews and Benjamin while trading up for Zay. That was the group that they decided was good enough after trading Watkins and letting Woods and Goodwin walk. They don’t get a pass for that or get to hide behind “the process.” That can’t be judged as anything but a massive failure.

They couda, woulda , shoulda, hindsight is 2020 as far as Ju-Ju is concerned and you still don't know if Zay may be better in the long run . As far as Watkins is concerned , he wasn't going to sign with the Bills  and neither was Woods. Goodwin we never got a chance to see his potential as he was continually injured. They also were under the duress of having a QB who couldn't or wouldn't throw to them . This is only the second year of the McBeane regime so I think there should be some sense of  timeliness  before we go running amok.

Nate Peterman is a Buffalo Bill.  He has worked hard to be the best QB he can be.  He has put his blood sweat and tears into this team and has taken a pounding in the process. I agree with most that it looks like he will not be able to transition from the college to the pro game.  He tried and failed.  It happens.

It's one thing for some national sports talk show hack to bag on Peterman, but we shouldn't be piling on too.  He is a part of the family, he wears the uniform that represents our city.  It's kinda like I can hit my brother but if you touch him, I'm gonna pop you.

I'm not saying you can't be critical of a player's performance, but a lot of the Nate Peterman vitriol simply crosses the line of human decency and what should be expected from people who claim to be a part of the Bill's Mafia.  We shouldn't rally around our players just when they do great, we need to stand with them when they fail too.  Maybe Nate Peterman isn't a good NFL QB, but he's still a Buffalo Bill,  and we need to have his back and not pile on.

    Well Said

  8. I don't know who picked the wide receivers but they all seemed to be  a bit sluggish with no separation . I don't know if it is coaching or lack of talent but you se e wide  receivers getting open  for all teams except the Bills,.  Benjamin ,Kerly and Holmes are  all rejects from another team. Get somebody that wants IT.  Soooo.........

My list is Benjamin and Terry Robiske  the WR Coach

This is exactly why we should have kept McCarron and why the decision is already starting to haunt us, we now have a seemingly worthless QB in Peterman and a rookie that doesn't know the offense as well as he could and barely has any NFL experience. If Allen starts then what if he gets hurt and is done for the season, if he suffers an injury similar to Wentz then how would you go about developing him? I don't think Allen lasts too long behind this O-Line.

I think we need to sign a free agent QB and let Josh come in when the games have already been already lost in the 3rd and 4th quarter, that's how he's going to get his reps, not by starting, unless you want to essentially throw him to the wolves and end up 2-14 with a potentially seriously injured rookie QB. I don't think the 5th round pick for McCarron was worth it, in hindsight.

McCarron would have been worse , He would have been sacked at least twice as much as the other QBs were.

  10. Bell is an unique back and deserved to be paid for his uniqueness  the first time his contract was up. He is both a  runner and receiver and the Steelers opted to try to pay him for just running . They were being disingenuous and Bell had to sign the offer and the "Stillers" got another year out of  Bell. The  Team knows that if  he signs with  them  this year that they can  overwork  to the point that next year  he will have very little value.  that said  , i wouldn't bet on the Steelers this year  because of the dimension on the team. There will be  players who will side with Bell .

  11. Most of you are missing  the reason for success for Peterman going forward. It is Dabolls  system.  Quick hitters , little time between plays, and off balance play calling . Think of New England offense . The ball will be out before the rush gets there .. It is not Peterman alone and the line only has to block  for about 2 and 1/2  seconds. Go Bills and to hell with all of the nay sayers.I

I think you grossly overstate the arm strength knock and cherry pick anyone that agrees with it. The guy has an NFL arm. It might be on the lower spectrum, but you write about it like he’s incapable, which is both wrong and annoying to see repeated dozens of times a day by you.

and it will be repeated dozens of times on the board in the future. most even bodies number 2 quarterbacks has limitations. I would rather have Peterman than most of them and probably some of the number1's. I can think of at least 4 number I's
