How did it come to this ??

    Sean. McDermott.

Until he goes, there’s ZERO hope.

Not even the most talented QB in the league can overcome this bozo.

The Chiefs lost the turnover battle in yesterday's super bowl.  That was the 14th game in a row, where the chiefs lost the turnover battle, and the chiefs still won the game.

The Bills head coach leans on "its hard to win when you lose the turnover battle", as a reason for losing games.

McDermott's statement is probably true.  Here's the rub:

It would appear the Chiefs have won 14 games in a row, "where it was hard to win".  I think there is a mental toughness exhibited by winning games that are hard to win, that the Chiefs have and the Bills do not seem too.

    Awesome post.

Read it folks. Then read it again.

    McClap. Has. To. Go.

  3. He’s our Marvin Lewis.

Has been bailed out by the best Buffalo Bill of all time Josh Allen.

If he continues to be the HC, we’ll continue to watch Super Bowl Sundays without our beloved Bills in it.

If you fire him, you give the fanbase hope. If you keep him, you insure zero hope.

He's only 27. Peyton Manning didn't win his first playoff game until he was two months shy of 28. Manning was 0-6 in his first six games against Brady; Allen was 3-3 in his first six against Mahomes.

I have my issues with how the team has been constructed since he was drafted, but let's not get crazy about any window being "wasted" or dwindling.

if we don’t make the Super Bowl next year, Josh Allen better sit down with Pegula and tell him to pick between him or McClap.

It’s time for Josh to do what MJ and Brady would’ve done 2 years ago and give the owner an ultimatum.

I will never understand why McDermott catches so many of the arrows when Beane keeps hamstringing him with lesser players.  Three years ago, Beane drafted Epenesa and Basham, Veach drafted Bolton and Humphrey.  A year later, Buffalo needed a CB.  Beane let KC jump him to take McDuffie while Buffalo traded up for Elam.  Then Kansas City still drafted Karlaftis a few picks later.   Last year, Buffalo needed a pass catcher, so Beane traded up for Kincaid in the first round. Kansas City traded up for Rice in the second round.

You can’t expect McDermott to outcoach Andy Reid.  He’s a HOF coach.  If you’re going to beat him, you have to have equal or better talent, and Beane has been getting outmaneuvered year after year on draft day by their biggest obstacle.  Even this year, they’re going into the draft with only two picks in the first two days of the draft because Beane had to trade away a third round pick for a CB whose about to turn 30.

I just don’t see how this is a failing of coaching when the GM is getting schooled every April.

lol if you think Brandon Beane is the top guy in this organization and making the decisions.

I'm gonna be honest... it took me some time to get over our season.

    I'm good now.

Now I'm excited not just for next season, but our future.

First of all, Buffalo has the 2nd youngest OC/DC combo in the NFL. Players advocate for these guys who have plenty of juice, so let em shake us all season long!  :flirt:

Second, and most important, a lot of people are worried about our CAP while ignoring the 10 draft picks plus 9 future reserves we have in the waiting. Combine those with young stars already on the team like Bernard, Kincaid, Shakir, Brown, Benford & Rousseau and this team is about to get a lot younger as guys like Hyde, Poyer, Miller and Diggs exit in the next 2 or 3 years.

To me, the future looks bright. Our most important player is about to become the veteran presence as everyone else around him gets younger. And it's by necessity because of our CAP situation.

But don't be afraid of that... the Bills since McBeane have been in place have maintained one of the oldest rosters in the NFL. Always low to mid 20s, as far as ranking in the NFL... not as far as age.  That means we've always been one of the 10 oldest teams in the NFL.

Now we inject youth. This offseason it's inevitably going to come in the WR corps & DL especially, but it'll shift across positions moving forward.

And we'll have a young OC & DC with a lot of juice to connect with them and a hypercompetitive QB with a handshake for everyone and Richard jokes to get them playing for him

This team is actually going through some drastic changes this offseason... it has me excited!!!

    Get excited under this regime?

    lol

As long as McDimwit is your head coach, your optimism should be limited.

Nothing changes next year with McD in charge.

Don't take my word for it!  Just wait and watch!

    Spot. On.

    In the 2012 draft Atlanta traded up to get Julio Jones. Here is the breakdown of the deal;

#6: Cleveland → Atlanta. (D) Cleveland traded this pick to Atlanta for Atlanta's first (27th overall, which later became #26), second (59th) and fourth-rounder (124th) and also Atlanta's first- and fourth-round selections in 2012.

Bills are in win now mode. We need an elite WR to put us over the top. Enter one of Malik Nabers (who I prefer) or Odunze.

Is the time right now to do this with Josh and our window ?

Or should I put down the pipe and stick to trashing Tua?

McClap will trade up for a corner or DT.

    no. Offense. Allowed!

Not that it matters, but this is the nirvana I attained after our latest loss. Instead of being grumpy and letting my disappointment lead to toxicity, it was time to step back and finally admit there's not a goddman thing I can do about it... other than being upset and (potentially) getting into arguments with my fellow Bills brethren and sistren on the message board.

Whether I approve of McDermott or don't (and I couldn't agree more with @Logic's assessment of what always seems to happen against elite offenses), Terry Pegula doesn't know who the f I am and couldn't care less even if he did. He LOVES Sean and thus Sean will stay until something catastrophic happens. Just my take and how I'm dealing with situations I can't control.

I do enjoy the (non-hostile/personal) debate and most of your are doing a wonderful job.

He obviously views Sean as a son.

I mean, nothing else to say.

No way you can watch every snap the past 3 seasons and tell yourself McClap is the right guy. Absolutely no freakin way.

  8. I just can't believe and get behind this HC.

He's shown time and time again that he's Doug Collins 2.0.

I'll save my time and money next season and look forward to a new regime hopefully this time next year.

Very sad situation going on right now with this organization. Wasting away the best player that's ever put on a Bills jersey to a defensive conservative HC who's defenses get shredded in crunch time year after year.

With BB, Vrabel, and Ben Johnson on the market, it's insanity rolling with this guy yet ANOTHER year.

If you had to ask me to choose whether to fire beane or McDermott, I choose beane. Why? While he's overall built a competitive roster, he's utterly failed at drafting gane-changing players.

You know my position on some of his picks, but ask yourself honestly: would you rather have a Metcalf or an Oliver? Basham or Humphrey? AJE or Uche? I could go on, but beane seems to prefer a whole roster of average over high ceiling guys (oddly, with the exception of the QB).

Also, this team lacks speed all over the field on both offense and defense, and I'd argue that the lack of speed on defense is the most notable reason why this team has failed in the postseason.

Lastly, beane's cap management and free agent acquisitions have been suboptimal, and the cap issues are going to do us in this coming season, I get the feeling. So, if you're asking me who's holding the bag of failure, it's Brandon Beane.

    Go home, your drunk.

  10. Will be a waste due to the stubbornness of keeping HC Sean McClap.

    Devastating

I don’t think Josh will wait much longer to win it all. The 1st time he brings a healthy squad with a receiving corps that have a legitimate 1 and 2, he’ll win. Just be patient and we’ll get there.

    Not with McDermott
