Browsed the Miami board and i’ve never seen a fanbase dreading a game more than this one. The weather, Tua nursing an ankle and playing poorly the last couple weeks, fans fear for his health since Buffalo demolishes QBs and Tua. Bills revenge, etcx

They are resigned to a beat down.  Hope it turns out that way but i’m sure Miami will show up and play for their lives…like the Jets did.

The Jets win vs us was legit. Makes sense they were more confident. Fish fans know their first win vs us was a fluke. They knew it when it happened but are now willing to admit it. We dominated them with our practice squad and it took a million unforced errors by us for them to win by 2 points.

I took a jaunt over to fin heavens forum to get a pulse on where they are at with this one… wow was I blown away. Talk about a complete 180 in the span of 2 weeks. Those guys are just wrecked over there.

    … it’s magnificent

Sullivan, who is a miserable human being, could have asked that same question after the Atlanta and Jets late season games last season. Yet we saw what the offense could do twice against NE and at KC at the end of the season.  It was a stupid and unnecessary question after a hard fought quality win against a very good opponent.

Right. And while I’m SLIGHTLY unsettled about the recent offensive issues, I’m over the moon that this squad has FINALLY shown they can finally get their hands dirty and win a mucked up game, in 2 of the last 3 weeks, instead of buckling late.

For me it was never that they couldn’t win close games. They could… as long as they kept themselves relatively clean… But it was these ugly grinders, such as todays game along with Detroit that have I didn’t have much confidence in before recently.

Did you see the play he was injured on? Perhaps the most ungraceful shoulder injury ever. Then again, it’s hard to be graceful when that much mass is moving as fast as it can.

Phillips has now pulled a hammy running meaninglessly running down the sidelines with Milano in week 2 and now hurt himself pointlessly belly flopping at Jones last week….

It reminds me of the uncoordinated overly dramatic fat kid that always seemed to be on every playground when I was 10 or 11 and always seemed to hurt themselves falling some awkward ass way during whatever game was being played. Flush red cheeks and crying as they limped away(even if they didn’t hurt a lower extremity).

Their final two games are SF and KC. They should lose both of those. Which would give them 9 losses. I don’t think 8-9 is getting the 7th seed.

They lost to KC by one point in arrowhead at the beginning of the season. This version of the raiders can most definitely take them down at home in the finale.

That WAR lost to injuries stat is interesting. I didn't know about that. They basically try to account for the quality of the player being lost to injury.

I know there was a poster claiming that the Bills were just average in man games lost and we shouldn't be using injuries as an excuse (as if we needed an excuse as the Bills kept winning) because of that. This metric shows that the Bills actually have been impacted by injuries more than any other team. And they are still first in the AFC.

the WAR metric was brought up numerous times in the recent injury thread and all the posters like the one you are referring to literally just wouldnt acknowledge its existence in the multiple posts that it was brought up.

... the amount of injuries this year havnt been uncommon. its the fact that they seem to be hitting every single impact player we have other than diggs.

I think that it's a matter of perception coupled with the Bills recent struggles in the RZ. In that Lions game where they "struggles," the Bills still had 401 total yards of offense to the Lions 326. I never would have guessed that until I looked at the stats. Motor had 72 yards on 14 carries for a 5.1 yard average. It didn't seem like that watching the game. All that being said, they have to start scoring TDs when the field gets compact and their long routes are not longer in play. That's on Dorsey.

    THIS X100!!!

I agree with Cosell in that we need to add talent to offense but we aren't a bunch of bodies other than Josh.

We haven't played well, especially Josh for a few game stretch.  Leads the league in INT's and has been brutal in the redzone....yet we are still 2nd in the league in scoring.  So if Josh is struggling and we can still put up points....how is that possible?  It's because we have talent on offense.  Just because you need to add talent doesn't mean you don't have talent currently.

this is fair. i get this. i really do..... that being said. does it not feel like almost every play, first down, or score is just overly laborious? We went from watching an offense flow and work in rhythm to every snap looking like even scoring drives are pulled out of hat and strenuous as hell. do you not watch and think, where are the easy completions i see for other qb's all over the league? because i do.

the last couple games i've talked myself off the ledge by saying "well we scored 31, and then 28. chill dude". But then i find myself saying "HOW THE HELL DID WE SCORE 31 AND 28???"

I believe most of the money is coming in on Buffalo. Nothing crazy but I think it's like 60% on Bills.

From a pod i saw it was the Pro's were leaning buffalo but the public was hitting pats hard.

NE is home. They have a good defense. Even in wins recently the Bills haven't looked all that great. This is a must win for NE. At 6-5 they can't afford a loss. 6-6 will make it very tough for them to make the playoffs in a strong AFC. You know that saying about "an animal backed into a corner has no choice but to come out fighting". Well, that is NE tonight and that makes them dangerous. I think tonight's game is going to be like the Detroit. It won't be decided until the very end. Let's Go Buffalo.

Just said almost exactly the same thing upstream. this is what it is.

Line opened at -5.5. Now it's -3.5.  Wonder why the move. Is DD being out worthy of 2 points?

not surprising. as long time bettor i was surprised it came out at 5.5 and assumed the public would bet it down... its a pesky bellicheck coached team at home thats almost on life support for the remainder of the season vs a Bills team that has made everything look difficult in losses AND wins over the last month. Thats what your everyday bettor sees.... and sorta what i see too... i'm not just gonna go into every Pats game assuming Allen is gonna go scorched earth. i think the media and us fans are putting way too much stock into what happened at the end of last season.

So, conversely,  if the opposing kicker makes a FG/PAT, it's bad luck for the Bills?  If opposing Kickers vs the Bills never miss a PAT all year...that's just "bad luck" for the Bills?

It's not random, as fumble recovery often is.   Balls bounce where they go.

uh no. that would be no luck, or unlucky like the title of the thread. not necessarily bad luck. the takeaway is it doesnt seem a lot of "lucky" bounces in those catergories go the bills way. i dunno where all the contention is here. it seems pretty cut and dry.

He had a bit of Jerry Hughes syndrome going on for much of the season, getting a lot of pressures but not converting them into sacks or turnovers. Against the Lions he finally made a couple true game changing plays.

i'm definitely not part of the cult that died on the "pressures" hill for jerry. and now i'm even more irritated with his new found ability to get home after losing it here for 4 years... that being said, i believe pressures up the middle are more valuable than pressures elsewhere, so i've been pretty pleased with EO lately.
