As an FSU fan, Fiske is the guy I want to see on the Bills. Great guy by all accounts, incredibly hard worker, relentless motor, and has the will to want to dominate. Love the kid, mentality, and player. I think he has a chance to go in the top 40 and should be gone by 50 but he is an older prospect

I dont see him as anything but the second 3 tech on the roster.  Tough to draft a guy at 60 to be a back up.  Oliver coming off a career year and new extension isnt going anywhere.  His game doesnt really fit as a 1 tech.

  2. After everything all offseason.  Im back to where I was when Texas beat Alabama.  What would Worthy look like with a Qb like Josh Allen.  His ability to separate while tracking a ball in the air deep is rare.  Desean Jackson Randy Moss rare.   Played all over the formation at Texas.  He is a fast football player not a fast guy playing football.

The next two edge players picked in his mock after The Bills pick at 60

67 Commanders Adisa Isaac Edge Penn State

75 Bears Chris Braswell Edge Alabama

FWIW he has the ravens doing this at 62

62 Ravens Xavier Legette WR South Carolina

I would take Isaac or Braswell at 60 over Bishop.  I think either guy can step into a full rotation at edge without a drop off.  Possible for either to take the other edge spot of

    Von doesnt perform.

Other than Harrison, Odunze is place Ladd McConkey as the safest WR to draft .

At minimum you have a high end slot guy with good work ethic, character, ability to separate and hands.

If he’s able to work as an outside guy then you will have hit a home run.

Availability is your best ability.  He has all the tools but has yet to complete a season.  Smaller guy often injured is not an ideal combination.

  5. I would rather flip edge and safety.  Go edge at 60 and safety at 163.  I do not see much difference in the safety prospects as a whole to draft one at 60.  Im not depending on Von to bounce back at his age.  I think you need to add guy ready for snaps immediately.  Edwards and Rapp is an ok pairing. Im not sure there is a safety in the class better than either.  Not looking for elite traits for the position the need to invest a day 2 pick seems unnecessary.

Posted this in another thread but thought it needed to be here too.

Sounds like a team wants him to slide to them.  Fluid guy with plus hands.  Best games vs best competition.  I think he is very much a possible target at 28.

The more I think about it the more we aren’t taking a WR round 1 barring a trade up for one of the top 3 guys.

The rest of the group have so many other issues with each prospect and we’ve brought in a bunch of round 1 guys that aren’t WR’s into the building.

Tells me that unless we get one of the big three , perhaps we move up a little in the 2nd to grab a WR which helps mitigate the risk/reward (with regards to draft capital if he busts)

I would than question what player available at 28 wont have a level of risk?  If they were clean prospects they would be top 5 or top 10 guys.

Did I say he’s my guy? I just said the tea leaves would indicate it.

Hes their type of player. I’m an FSU fan I’ve watched him a ton this past year.

He’s a leader, a good blocker, a big bodied WR, gives maximal effort( all traits the Bills love).

Beane while talking about explosive plays the previous two years talked about YAC something Coleman does really well.

FSUs offense did him very few favors this year despite being 13-0. FSU ran go routes with Coleman and Wilson all the time and abandoned the middle of the field for long portions of games. I don’t know the reason for that was it because Jordan Travis felt comfortable with that stuff? Was it because they just had two big WRs who they felt could win?

If you ran go routes all the time don’t you think DBs and coaches would catch on to that which might mitigate his ability to separate?

Yes, the coverage will play off.  Now all the underneath opens up.  That is what the offense needs.  Without the ability to run past defenses the secondaries crowd up.  Last season two safeties could sit around 15-20 yards off the LOS.  That makes the windows incredible tight.  Coleman does not make as many contested catches as you would want.  His highlights are probably the best in the draft though.  His addition to the offense doesn't solve the issues defenses are creating to slow them down.

Sure, but Diggs is no different than plenty of other high profile WRs. He's actually more the "typical" WR.

So if Josh can't handle Diggs chirping, that's a Josh problem. Because if/when the Bills replace Diggs with other competitive, high profile WRs it's only a matter of time until they start the same behavior.

If we somehow landed MHJ, we're right back where we started.

Diggs believes he made Allen who he is now.  Now Diggs best years were with Allen but he wont admit that.  Same with Beasley.  Different dynamic.  Whether it be one of the top 3 wrs or mid rounder they all will see Allen as the guy.  Diggs and Beasley seem/seemed almost jealous of his found notoriety and fame.

    Matt Milano.

The all pro best LB on the roster, whos replacement was already drafted.  Would it be crazy for them to trade him now on an attempt to move up? Possibly.

But he has had some availability issues over the years. And the negative is him coming off a knee injury, but otherwise this would be a perfect sell high moment.

If a team was willing, it would be perhaps the best way to move up without sacrificing a boatload of future picks

Why do some look at this like a 1 offseason Madden rebuild?  Milano is our best defender.  Why trade him and create another hole on the roster?  A few extra picks to package for Marvin Harrison?  You dont fill a hole by making another.

where does he separate? He has guys hanging on him every play. He has to make highlight reel catches because the corner is with him step for step. He won't win as many of those in the NFL. You have to actually be able to get open

If they trade down and pick up an extra day 2 pick I think he could be part of a double dip.  Coleman paired with Worthy, Franklin or Wilson is more palpable imo.  Coleman could be a fine wr but need to know what he is and is not.  Power slot with some jump ball ability in the redzone.  A traditional X I'm not convinced he is.

I doubt Latu falling to the second round is actually realistic but if he does Bills should make a move up to take him. We need a starting DE and he'd be our best shot to get one past round 1. Worth the risk.

Depends what team Dr say.  Its not a matter of grade but is he being taken off their boards completely for medical concerns.  Some risk adverse teams will take him off.  Some will not.  They said the same thing about Jalen Phillips but he was drafted high but often injured.

  12. I think all options are on the table at this point.  I went with wr at 28 and different position at 60.  I think the Bills are digging deep into Alabama and Jermaine Burton.  Went to Alabama pro day instead of Texas both were on the same day.  Maybe taking attention off Texas wideouts.

Trading all the way up for one of the top 3 seems a bit rich.  If they do it I would be excited but pretty much rolling with the dline as it is.  I think they need to do something at 60 to add depth to Edge or draft Jones successor at DT.

I could see a trade up to the 20s late teens including a 25 2nd.  Beane really likes a guy he will go get them.

I actually think moving up massively/significantly for a non-QB or a lackluster QB prospect actually leads to pundits saying that the team that traded back more often than not won the trade. I think many feel that trade ups of more than a few spots high up tend not to be worth it most of the time. NFL roster building is almost more about not having weaknesses and good depth than it is about what your top elite talent looks like (outside of the QB position). Getting more picks or swapping out lower end picks for higher ones and get more or better "bites at the apple" to bring in talent all over the roster is better than going up higher on the board.

You do need at least 2-3 elite non-QB players but the issue is that even trading up well into the top 10 does not guarantee that at that much higher a degree and as we have seen throughout NFL history elite top 5 at their position players are found all places in the draft and even some like Jason Peters un-drafted (although UDFA's being elite players is rare).

I think given how deep this draft class is staying at 28 unless Brian Thomas maybe falls to around 24/25 (which would be a smaller more manageable trade up) the Bills best bet is to "let the draft come to them" and draft a WR at pick 28 like Legette or McConkey or trade down 5-10 spots and pick up a 3rd round pick and still take a WR like Franklin or Wilson and use that 3rd round pick to fill a need elsewhere on the roster and then take another WR at pick 128 for added depth while using pick 60 and whatever you got from the trade down to build the defensive line or if at pick 60 a top guard or center is there add a piece to the offensive line.

Only 1 I could fully get behind is Marvin Harrison Jr.  I would say the Andrew Luck prospect of WR.  Was a future 1st round pick since highschool

  13. Jefferson, Aj Brown, Dk Metcalf, Devonte Adams all went around or after Buffalos pick.  Wrs are situation depended.  Buffalo will be one of the greatest situation a rookie wr will enter.  Paying a kings ransom for a Wr isnt ideal imo.  Use the extra 2nd next year?  Sure, but outside of that im not digging too deep.  I think worst case they will have a solid wr at 28 one that would be graded higher than any of the wrs drafted in rd 1 last season.

I don’t think the Bills will like him because of age. They will likely prefer someone 21 years old.

I have felt that way too.  Maybe  Allen sways it.  Toughest choice is Mitchell vs Leggette imo.  Mitchell has what your looking for but not the production.  Leggette is older and his 1 season is still one of the best seasons in the class in the SEC with the most talent in the secondary of any conference.  Wr now being an immediate need vs a chance to come along slowly you may take the dip in potential for a bump in immediate impact.  Aj Brown is still a heck of alot of potential.

given Burton's issues...I would be stunned if we drafted him

What are the issues?  He transferred to Alabama and pissed off Georgia?  Punched a fan in a field storming situation.  Is that it?  I hear off the field but never details into what.  Makes me think its more draft speak than real.

  16. Basically, they need a player that can line up outside on the line more than 50% of the time.  Easiest thought process is that a big body wr does it best.  And adds jump ball capabilities.  Reality is there are multiple ways to win outside and size is the least effective way.

Lets look at an extreme example.  Cole Beasley.  He excelled in the slot because of his quickness and route running.  Why he didnt excel outside because after the initial burst he didnt posses the speed to run away from coverage.  Desean Jackson wasnt much bigger but his speed allowed him to operate outside.  Michael Thomas and Marquise Colston where large bodies but similar to Beasley didnt have the speed so where more effective in the slot.

Harrison, Nabers, Udunze, Thomas Jr, Mitchell, and Leggette all have the average or above average Height and weight while also having the speed and explosion to threaten deep.  My concern is getting stuck on size and missing the second part which is explosion and speed.

  17. With the 65th pick the Carolina Panthers select Ruke Orhorhoro, Defensive Line, Clemson.  @gonzo1105 is now on the clock.

I like Orhorhoro a lot.  I think he can play anywhere across the dline.  Big, athletic ass kicker on the dline.  Late to football so still has plenty upside.  I labeled him a DL not DT because I think he could be a power edge not just a 3 tech.  I see Micheal Bennett as a comp.  Worthy, Frazier, and Orhorhoro is a very good haul for Carolina.  BPA matched need.
