    Great.

I thought of godfather 2 when Saul walked into that courtroom and saw Kim.

Plus the scene between the gates at the end. Definitely GF2 call back there.

I thought it was terrific.  After all his selfishness, he redeemed himself by saving Kim from having her life destroyed, further.

    Looking forward to the surprise.

    Final episode info:

“In a road-trip story, a reclusive prepper abandons his bunker in search of a female prepper from his past; along the way, he meets an unlikely ally who is his polar opposite; they team up in an effort to find their loved ones.”

The last episode promo is odd:

We hear Saul saying the vacuum model code that may be used to convey to the vacuum man that he needs extraction and a new identity. But as we hear Saul saying this—out of breath and clearly in distress—we see Saul’s 1998 Suzuki Esteem that was shot up during the ambush in the desert last season, when Saul almost got killed retrieving Lalo’s bail money.

We know that Lalo and Nacho found the car but nothing has been mentioned of it since. What is the significance?

If this is in play, then I have no idea.  Really, I'm completely in the dark about tonight. Theories abound but what I'm truly going to miss is the magnificent writing (obviously amongst other things) and constantly being surprised. That's a special talent these days. It's comforting to know that whatever happens, it'll be excellent. Can't say that about many shows, ever.

BCS has joined BB, Sopranos, The Wire in the TV HOF. It's been a great ride.

He is not entertaining. To me at least. Others may find him so, that is up to them. I just question their taste.

I really can't stand him. With his little quick quips and lame pop culture references, he's like that loud annoying drunk at the end of the bar. He's a Bears fan. He did a Bears pre-season game a few years back that was WGR cringe worthy.

The kind of bandwagoners I like are the ones who've watched us suffering for years and want the Bills to finally get a ring.

Changing the actor for Jeff kind of hurt the payoff, imo.  With the new actor, I kind of felt bad for the character - the other actor made him more menacing & more of a jerk.

Probably a polarizing episode for fans, but I liked it.  It was a really slow build, but they could use a lot of what they did in film school - the angles, the repetition, even the close-ups of the cinnabun.

    And Carol Burnett!

I enjoyed it but it being one of the last four seemed misplaced. Would have been better earlier in the season. But, after the last three epics before it, who am I to complain.

They can't. The red is an alternate jersey used for the 'color rush' games and the league has told them that if they wear it, it has to be as part of the all red, monochrome 'color rush' uni only.

    Welll........that.......sucks

My biggest problem from the start was Kim and Saul going about their day with no visible signs of trauma or being shaken by what happened the night before.  Then all of a sudden in the motel it all floods back. I know they're kinda psychotic with their emotions, but I found it very hard to swallow.

The Gus wine thing has to be a bigger deal.

Didn't get Mike suddenly needing to go visit Nacho's father.  Just seemed so damn random and unnecessary

I thought the Gus scene seemed unnecessary too until they had the dramatic cut to Saul in BBS2. Probably the last we'll see of Gus. So focused on revenge/business that he can't enjoy himself and live life.

As far as the BB universe goes...  it is crazy to see Mike bested at every turn by Lalo over the past season and a half-plus.  Gus should be firing him.

It made for great television though.  Over many episodes, we are conditioned to expect Mike to have an uncanny ability to read every situation 6-steps ahead and out-wit everyone.  Gus to a point as well.

So Lalo constantly out-maneuvering them takes the audience for a ride.

I agree. To a point. Lalo was such an intelligent, unpredictable wild card. Mike is definitely learning on the job concerning Lalo.

Pretty awesome that almost the entire episode takes place in the actual runtime of the show.

  8. Our Pittie/Lab blew out both knees about 2 weeks apart.  10k without dog insurance which my wife was smart enough to get when we adopted him. So, it was 1k total. He's been fine ever since.

  9. While we're in the Hiatus, I'm happy to report that Howard's pro tip about spinning a dropped can to settle down the bubbles works. Dropped a few beers while stocking the cooler for our party.  I'll be damned. What can't this show do?

Anyone think we get a Walter white cameo sometime before the finale? Obviously Saul Goodman wasn't at the start of breaking bad, but wasnt the better call Saul episode of breaking bad in season 2 or 3?

Confirmed that Walt and Jesse will appear. How and why is a mystery.
