Well that was a punch in the gut, a real dose of reality. Completely outplayed start to finish. The offensive and defensive game plan for this game was embarrassing. Not to mention McDermott has shown to be a terrible game manager with the game on the line.

How many years are we going to put up with this? We are wasting Josh Allen's talent. No other top QB has a good defense like we do and the COACHES have blown it year after year.

You can love this team and totally disagree with what the coaches are doing. Before the game Leslie Fraser was asked if he would do anything different this game based on how bad they looked at the start of the last game vs Cinci and he said no they will do what got them there. You mean the same defense that made Skylar Thompson look like a pro bowler? 3rd a 4 and they are 10 yards off the receivers? And on offense 3rd and short and they are throwing 40 yard bombs. Insanity.

I don't think we have the coaches we need to get over the hump and this was the reality check we needed to have some really tough discussions this off-season and going forward. We are all happy to finally have a team that's a perennial playoff team but that's all they will ever be with this coaching staff.

I totally agree, the Frazier defense has run its course and we are now wasting Allen's prime years. Time for a new DC 💯.

We can’t afford 2-3-4 drops a game out of Davis in the playoffs.  Brown has been here for a few weeks now, and should be up to speed.  His catch today proves he still has it.

give the reliable vet the start over the young guy with feet for hands.

I think that's a really bad idea, Davis really seems to shine in the playoffs. You don't give up on players that's how they get better.

  3. Run the ball down teams throats and eat the clock. Don't turn the ball over and try and mask the defense. If we don't run the ball effectively against a team like the Bengals or Chiefs then we may be in some trouble. Also I hope Allen starts making the 5-6 yard throws, it will benefit all involved. I still have no doubts that this team is a SB contender.

Jesus. Not only did Allen make a horrible decision, he almost got himself broken in half, we give away points, Spencer Brown goes down… and we kick to New England next.

People get sensitive when anyone mentions Mahomes or some other QB is better than Allen. I love Allen and wouldn’t trade him for the world… but he needs to smarten up in some of these critical times.  Way too reckless and will always attract haters.

Give Allen Mahomes OL and then we can talk, Allen has about 2 seconds most plays to make a quick decision.

And I'd love to see it, just as I'd love to see Cook being more reliable and used more often.

But he's still not a slot receiver, and using him properly would not mean "use him as a slot receiver", even if he would be lining up wide and running a route from time to time.

I agree, our offense was good against Cleveland.  But to the point of the OP you're responding to: we were good against Cleveland by changing it up - running an unusual (for us) number of 2 TE and 2 back personnel packages.  We actually rushed more times than we passed - 33 rushes, 27 passing attempts - and only 3 of the rush attempts were Josh Allen.  Singletary and Cook both had 86 yards.

I don't think our offense has been inept, or we wouldn't be winning games.  But it hasn't been the same as it was earlier in the season, either.

He doesn't have to be a slot WR per SE, he could and should add to the passing game out of the backfield or split wide like James White used to for NE in the Brady years and was a huge weapon for them. Adding to the passing game in any way is a plus for Allen and our RBs five him more options

Nyheim Hines is a running back.  He is not a wide receiver.

He's been being used in 2-back sets (Pony formation) on a variable number of snaps - 23 vs NE, 10 vs the Jets.

I'm kinda puzzled as to why someone would think an RB would make a "perfect" slot receiver.

He is 1 of the best pass catching RB in the league just nobody knows how to utilize him properly. He'd be around a 75 catch RB in a Brady lead offense no doubt in my mind. He could easily be an Austin Ekler type for us if we used him properly.

Wouldn’t you rather that we did have a HC who was involved with our offense? An Andy Reid or a Sean McVay or Kyle Shanahan of sorts? 🤔

Or would you rather have Chan Gailey? Anthony Lynn? Frank Reich? I think we forget the terrible coaches that were here before him, it doesn't give McDermott a free pass but we, including myself might be making too much out of this, every team experiences these types of ups and downs during the season. Now OC Ken Dorsey on the other hand needs to figure things out and quick.

  8. The play calling to start the game was great. Looked like Singletary was on his way to a career day but then he was stopped on a few plays and they totally bailed on running the football. Why didn't we involve James Cook and Nyheim Hines more, what was the purpose of getting these 2 players? Where were the RB screen plays? Until we stop being 1 dimensional this is probably going to be the norm.

Why not take the 3 points and put us ahead by 2 scores? No that isn't hindsight, I said it to myself and others before the play happened this is a dumb call. Even when Allen is having trouble or hurt we throw it 30+ times. This isn't a SB caliber team right now and it's not me being a Debbie downer after a loss, this was easily a blowout victory but the coaching staff ***** the bed and Allen didn't need to be the hero in this but this coaching staff will turn him into a villain if they aren't careful.

  9. I've been a supporter of this staff since McDermott got here but I'm starting to lose faith. We finally started running the ball and abandoned it. Instead of taking the points we throw the INT. It's becoming the norm and we've become completely 1 dimensional. Why did we bother drafting James Cook or trading for Nyheim Hines since we never utilize running backs whatsoever and it's frustrating.

Because we don’t have a RB that’s why.

How many more posters are going to continue to try and tell me that Singletaey is a difference maker and we didn’t need CMC?!?!?!

We have 3 more than capable running backs, they're not on CMCs level but no RB can thrive with just 8 carries, Singletary last season when we fed him the ball looked quite good imo, we need a recommitment to it for sure. Go with the hot hand between the 3 on game by game basis.

  11. My anger is more towards the OC, if you see Josh is struggling to throw the ball or the O-line is getting him killed, I've yet to see this team utilize screen passes efficiently. Why did we go out and get a guy like RB Nyheim Hines, James Cook if we're just going to neglect them as another weapon? We now have 3 RB's who can catch and they had 6 catches, I think we're pretty 1 dimensional right now and we don't need to be, this team was very hard to beat when Singletary was running well last season and I think it's time to recommit to it.

I don’t have to know him personally. He threatened to rape a girl if she didn’t stay silent about being raped by his roommate. How low is your bar if that doesn’t qualify as a trash human?

Some people are just too sensitive right?!  All he did was threaten to rape a girl if she reported his roommate for previously raping her. No big deal.

So you read somewhere that he said this or you were there when he said it?
