It bothers me every time I hear about the large number of picks the Bills have.  Their actual draft capital is middling this year.  They currently have 11 picks, but only 2 in the top 125.  Sure, it’s nice to hav an abundance of 4th, 5th and 6th rounders - they’ve done reasonably well late, but realistically if they get 1 or 2 guys that contribute as a starter or key backup out of those picks they would be doing quite well.

Regarding a big trade up, I’m not saying that Harrison, Nabers, Odunze aren’t very good, but realize that LSU had a top 3 QB in Jayden Daniels, Malik Nabers AND Brian Thomas Jr.  and they were very good, but did not make the 4 team championship playoffs.

You can’t forget we traded for a starting CB at the deadline last year. Thinking our Edmunds comp pick was a third rounder. Look at Rasul Douglas as their third round pick this year. I hope they can move back 4-7 spots and get an additional 3rd.

The defensive backfield is the strength of the coaching staff.  They can find someone they can get by with.  I'm considerably less confident of their ability to find a starting caliber WR later in the draft.  And then the are the longer term contract considerations.  With FA WR costs skyrocketing,  it's more valuable to have that position on cost controlled contracts than it is a safety.

And then there's the fact that DeJean would be a projection to safety.  He's a college corner and that's where I'd give him his first shot in the NFL.  Maybe he can play safety,  but maybe he can't.

Like Gabe Davis or Khalil Shakir on day 3 ? Got it bud

You site one example where the Chiefs acted inappropriately and out of character. Mahomes owned up to his inappropriate behavior. As a competitor I think the circumstances got the best of him. No excuses though and Reid was worse after the fact. I'm not here to defend the Chiefs.

However, football isn't a popularity contest, a higher character contest, or who whines and ***** more or less. Who gaves two poops about that?  It's about rings and super bowls. Do the math!!!

The high road here is meaningless. The great culture builder of McD hasn't produced a Lombardi. The great toughness, grit, and strength of the Bills is recently 0-2 vs KC in the playoffs. That's the bottom line and the only narrative that counts. Tomorrow can go a long way to change the narrative.

I get it stand behind your team. I do the same with the Bills. They are resilient and have made an incredible run. That run comes smashing down with another KC victory. Talk about a demoralizing loss. Equally, a Bills win will have an euphoric effect on the fan base. Sure hope to experience that feeling.

The amount of time spent on hating the Chiefs and calling into question their character and strength is ridiculous. For God's they are defending champs, have one of best coaches in the NFL, and the best QB on the planet. But hey, question their heart, strength, and character all you want.

Tomorrow, we certainly will find out where each team stands. All I know is this is the opportunity Bills fans have been looking for for years. KC in Buffalo. Put up or shut up. No excuses...

    Go Bills!!!!

Mahomes acted like a B word full stop 🛑. He’s in a tough spot tomorrow if Taron & TB play. Be objective

Absolutely.  Over on Chiefs Planet, a majority of them are a bunch of insufferable sister-lickers.

They kicked me off their website for telling them that Mahomes has 10 TD’s & 8 picks on the road. I see I’ve been suspended for life. Reason: none given 😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝😝

love it!! They are the hillbillies that they are.

Kelce sounded very confident this week. Makes me nervous. As if they have something planned that we are not expecting.  They seem to be relishing the road challenge in crazy Buffalo.

Bills need to not get cute.  Just smash these guys like they did to Dallas.  Get super physical.  Don’t try going 5 wide so much

I’m going to trust Joe Brady with the game plan . He’s had the answers so far. He beat them the last time. Believe 😃

Besides Bernard (to me he is the most essential of this lineup), if you could get one of the other three back, who would you want?

I’m debating with myself over Benford or Rapp ????

I’d want Rapp back. Elam would be 3rd CB. If no Rapp either Damar or Cam are the third Safety. That’s not good

  6. I feel NY should have stepped in and overturn the officials call for the second time in the first quarter . It was a bad look and this crew which has had a really bad year. Cheffers just came out and whistled past the graveyard 🙄with the bills losing a  challenge & have no more for the game. Terrible crew

  7. And now this week we have Hockli’s crew coming in. Remember the Philly game this year. All the PI’s against the Bills not called. The horse collar right in front of the head official and he called grounding. Then the other phantom grounding penalty. The Brown fumble in OT could have went either way but with all the other blown calls I’m anticipating a total ***** show. Pretty sure this is the same crew that didn’t call PI on the packers at the end of the game vs chiefs. This could get really ugly with Mahomes running around like a Man Baby begging for a penalty on every play. It’s best to prepare for these things so you don’t throw something somewhere when the ***** show starts.

Here’s the real kicker, the ref on the field said Buffalo didn’t recover the ball in bounds indicating our guy didn’t have control of the ball before he slid out of bounds. The replay clearly showed he did, the question of hitting the helmet wasn’t brought up, so if they couldn’t tell whether it hit the helmet or not, that should not have been ruled on if it was inconclusive .

I’m not saying that. but what do you think of my last post? The call wasn’t that Pittsburgh touched it out of bounds it was Buffalo didn’t recover in bounds. So an inconclusive on hitting the helmet should not be the determining factor.

Exactly my point. Call was wrong. Would love to hear Carl Cheffers explanation

Everyone saying they saw the ball hit is helmet is incorrect. There was never an angle that showed if it did or didn't hit his helmet. Thats not what the ref called though, he said " the ball was fumbled forward out of bounds therefore it will be returned to the spot of the fumble". This indicates that he wasn't calling that it hit his helmet while he was out of bounds, it's indicating that it wasn't recovered in bounds. This was obviously incorrect as the replay clearly showed a recovery by the Bills in bounds.

And Carl Cheffers offering no explanation after the review needs to be addressed. I saw a view I didn’t see last night today to show Benford’s injury on the play. Clearly shows Benford knocking the ball out and the Pittsburgh Tight End waving at the ball as it bounced WY from him. Clear mistake on the original call by refs & an incorrect call after reviewing the video. Have to believe they didn’t want to have two overturned plays by the home team in the first quarter. Would love to hear Carl Cheffers post game presser.

The refs basically forced the Bills to use up their challenges before the end of the 1st QTR.  Completely unacceptable.

This is the major point. They didn’t call obvious turnovers. Bills should not have had to challenge the First fumble. Really bad look on officials to blow 2 calls on overturns in the first quarter. So they just played dumb on the second one and that should have also been overturned. Zero accountability zero explanation.

If the ball touches his helmet while he was out of bounds, then the fumble is out of bounds.  That's the rule.  That would make what Cheffers said true.

Agree 💯. But there was no evidence of that.

I actually thought they showed a replay that made it clear the ball didn't touch the helmet.

    They did.

    This:

That was Romo’s take. They never showed an angle that showed this as fact. The official said the ball was fumbled out of bounds. It was not,  a clear recovery. The helmet point was not what was called on the field nor did they use it to explain the call.

I disagree, and the ball appeared to touch the TEs helmet. If the ball touches a player who is OOB, the ball is then OOB.

Bills definitely got away with some calls last night, I never felt like the Refs tried to get Pitt back in it.

That was my only beef with both fumbles, they were close and should have been called turn overs, then it’s an auto review.

A simple explanation of why they called it the way they did was necessary. Romo suggested it may have touched the Pittsburgh helmet. I didn’t see it touch the video was inconclusive of that as fact. If they would have had an angle showing that then I agree the ball would be dead. But you’re missing the bigger point. Carl Cheffers said the ball was fumbled by the Pittsburgh player out of bounds. That was untrue. It never went out of bounds. Bills shouldn’t have lost the challenge. The officials were wrong on that call. A very big game changing call. After they missed the Pickens call which was an easy call on the field that they got wrong.
