As i sit here eating some left over wings from a Christmas get together we had last week at our home and having to take all the fat off the wing to enjoy the actual meat on the wing, i wondered if there were those of Bills Mafia out there that have a different view of wings & there size mostly .

I know there are a ton of ways to fix them i'm just mostly talking about how dang big every one thinks they need to be . The bigger the better mentality for wings doesn't work for me .

I grew up in WNY in the 70's & 80's every bar we use to play at had wings as a late night snack accompanied by a few beers of course ! But for the most part the wings were never huge & in most cases with out a lot of breading . Over time though with the chains like B Dubs & just the popularity of the mighty Buffalo Wing the wing it self has grown to the size in some cases of a chicken leg which again i'm not a fan of .

We use to get them in 2 different ways either with the traditional Franks Red hot & butter sauce (possibly a added bit of tabasco or cayenne to heat them up) or a dry wing that consisted of chili powder, garlic powder, and cayenne which was sprinkled on after coming out of the fryer & put in a skillet in the restaurant kitchen stove then you always served them with celery & blue cheese and that is what i grew up on .

Today every restaurant you go in in the south or out west think that the bigger the wing the better & some serve celery & carrots .  If i want a chicken leg i'll buy chicken legs & put Buffalo sauce on them but a wing need not be that big .

Oh and the flats are the best by the way !!

But i was wondering if outside the Buffalo/WNY area do ya'll notice the same thing about wings as far as what you grew up on in that area or do you like a really large more southern chicken wing approach to chicken wings ?

Also what are your thoughts on the breading ? It's hard now to find wings with out breading on them or better know as naked wings . I grabbed some the other day from a road side gas station & to my surprise they were really good ! No Breading, crispy out side & done inside which is always a plus and plenty of Buffalo sauce some of the better wings i've had down here in a while .

The ones i just finished i guess because of the amount of fat left on them never seemed to be done enough . I had a bad encounter once with some under cooked wings from a restaurant that we won't go into but it was not fun !! Which has also made me lean toward the extra crispy wings or cooked a bit longer than most restaurants do today .

So what's yawl's take on the great chicken wing debate ? Are you a breading wing person or a naked wing eater, do you like big wings and you cannot lie or are you more of a smaller i guess for lack of a term a more traditional wing person, sauce or dry what your preference ??

You found good wings down here in middle TN?? Moved here in 2020 (Murfreesboro) and have yet to find a good spot!

The Eagles game too....That INT late in the 4th Quarter deep in the Bills territory gave the Eagles an easy six that allowed them to take the lead....and then that miraculous 61 yard FG in rain!!!

That wasn't an easy six, it was a hope and prayer throw on 3rd and 15 into the end zone that we couldn't knock down.  One of the plays of that game not brought up much

Very tough game for sure. I believe the NFC is a lot better than the AFC too. The Cowboys are certainly battle tested this season. They still have a lot to play for. They should be ready on Sunday. Would love to see a letdown but truthfully it's unlikely.

Dak can be bad at times. The Bills pass rush has to generate pressure. The big play and explosive Cowboy offense is a concern for this depleted Bills D.

McD has really done a very good job with this Bills D. The injuries prevent this team from being dominant. Seems like the defense plays lights out in the first half and then not so good in the second half. A complete game would be a welcomed sight.

I think we have to talk about both QBs. Arguably the biggest key to winning. Allen under Brady has been very good. Looking like the old Allen we know. No restrictions, dynamic, and elite. Dak is in the MVP conversation so that says a lot. What version of each QB do we get? Dak can get rattled and Allen can certainly turnover the ball.

Really excited about this game. I really thought the Bills would lose in KC. Gladly, I was wrong. I do believe the Cowboys are the better team. Of course that won't be popular here.

Nevertheless, I just have a gut feeling the Bills win. The fans, home field, the must win mentality, Allen, etc...

    Bills 24

    Cowboys 23

I believe the NFC only has 4 teams with a winning record? AFC has 11

not very likely i think. mcd is obviously good at covering his own ass, and he brought in beane, who also shown hes loyal. the players are also probably afraid to speak up, and the fired coaches probably have no means of reaching him.

That's my thought too, not like a player is going to go him about a speech before a practice, he probably needs to issue a statement

  5. Got to love this quote about him , "Robinson established himself as a speedy NHL winger, who brings some size and two-way capabilities to the club. He’s mostly thought of as an effective penalty killer, but he doesn’t bring a ton else to the table. He’s not overly physical, he doesn’t have much of a scoring touch; really, the best thing you can say about him is that usually, when he’s on the ice, nothing really happens. He’s a classic replacement level player"

It's actually based on only one technicality. The 2006 requirements for a planet were:

    It orbits around the sun

It has sufficient mass so that it becomes a nearly round shape

It has cleared the neighborhood around its orbit

Pluto meets the first two. Re the third one, to quote Augie above, "No, I don’t know what that means either. 🤷‍♂️" But you can be sure that if someone had told Pluto in 1930 that he had to clear the neighborhood to be a planet, he would have done it!

Pluto's orbit takes almost 248 years to complete. Since its discovery in 1930 it has not yet completed an orbit around the sun maybe thats the issue? I assume clear the neighborhood around its orbit means things arent in its orbit path
